NooooooooWhy did I finally stop into this establishment!?!? This place is neck and neck with See's Candy minus the free samples. Staff is seriously as sweet as the candy. The two young ladies during my visit were very upbeat and patient! Of course I had lots of questions about their large selection of sweets.They're also offer paint nights for $40 that includes a voucher for $10 towards wine or candy!!Enjoy! And you are welcome!

The chocolates were extremely delicious and creamy. The staff was very friendly and definitely gave a sample as needed just so that we were able to taste their remarkable chocolates. They were so friendly they reminded us of the special treats this would take for our kids or family loved ones at home. Just happened to run across this small little chocolate shop on my way to South Tahoe. Definitely will be stopping back when we go up there again.

Still luvin the chocolates at Annabelle's Chocolate Lounge in a tiny foothills blimp of a town, El Dorado. El Dorado is on the outskirts of Placerville, CA. The chocolates are artisan crafted and made on site in the back kitchen. The chocolates are absolutely gorgeous. But better yet, they are all so heavenly tasting. Yum! The pricing is $30 a pound. However the truffles and premium selections are priced by piece. Six regular pieces average about a quarter of a pound. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. They can weigh as you pick so you do not go into sticker shock at the end weight. My go to favorites are the dark chocolate peanut clusters and sea salt caramels. But I loosely use the term " favorite" because I luv 'em all! The shop is cozy, old fashion, and simply designed. It exudes a homey vibe. A low key atmosphere to partake in their chocolate and wine pairings. The wines are from local wineries. Speaking about local partnerships, the shop also sells gifts and jewelry crafted by local artisans. They also host the occasional painting event that is open to the public.

This was a quick awesome stop on our way to Lake Tahoe. Upon entering we knew we were in for a real treat. The dark chocolate tart cherries are so amazing. Excited to try the rest of the goodies we have in our box. The service was fantastic and the aesthetics transported us to a little piece of chocolate heaven.

$28 per pound of delicious chocolate. That's all you need to know. Well, you also need to know they have a lounge area for wine tasting with the chocolates. No, you don't have to bring the wine as they do have a selection for you to select from.And you need to know they are off the beaten path in the city of El Dorado. Unless you have business in El Dorado, I doubt you stop in at Annabelle's Chocolate Lounge. UNLESS you are like me looking for new things and always open for adventure. (Fun Fact- the main road is the path used by the Pony Express eons ago)I'm still enjoying the chocolate along with a glass of wine and look forward to another visit. They have awards; many awards so if you are looking for award winning delicacy this is the place for you.

YUM! What more can I say! I've only tried a few of their chocolates, but they were all amazing! Their "turtles" are the best I have ever had, and I will definitely be going back for more of those! And to try all the other mouthwatering options. Never go to a big box chocolate chain again if this place is ever even remotely in your vicinity.

Tried these chocolates at Bogle winery in Clarksburg and brought home a few boxes .... so so so delicious !!! Cannot wait to have them again

Great little candy place. My kids love it here. The service is great and I've never had a problem.

Being only about 2 minutes from my home, this is considered one of my top favorite places to stop for a treat or gift whenever I'm out driving places. The amazing smell of chocolate whenever I walk through that door just brings me back to when I was little and my parents would take my sister and I in with them. Annabelle's Chocolate Lounge has always been a cherished place for my family and local community. Those game changers and raspberry truffles are to die for! :P

Very impressed with this little place. Got chocolates for my in-laws as well as my own parents and everything was delicious and wrapped beautifully. I would rather my money go to somewhere local than spent on the Hershey boxes at Walmart plus the taste was unbelievable, and the service was friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks Annabelle's!! I will definitely be back
