Cozy atmosphere with TV for sports. Wasn't expecting a spot like this in West sac but it's a pretty good vibe.Chips and salsa: A-Good kick to the green salsa, the red one has a pretty good flavor. The chips are super crisp and light. It was complimentary and I was pleasantly surprised.Pastor Street taco: BThe al pastor wasn't super traditional but it definitely tasted pretty solid. The bit of pineapple adds a nice touch of sweetness.Enchiladas: CWasn't too impressed. The cheese reminds me of store bought preshredded Mexican cheese blend and the sauce and beans lacked any strong flavor. The chicken was grilled well though.Overall, I think their meats are actually cooked pretty well so maybe stick to tacos and you'll be happy.

Happy hours everyday From 8-closeYou don't see they too often. The ground beef taco but ask if they have a spicy salsa if you like it hot. The strawberry margarita is quite tasty. I LOVED the chorizo dip. OMG!It's called Choriqueso Mamalon. If you enjoy chorizo with melted cheese, this is your appetizer. It's very filling. I like to sit at the bar as much as possible. The service is always the best in almost any restaurant. If you enjoy good Mexican food, give this place a try.

When I first walked in I got great and friendly vibes from the place and staff. The staff are friendly and attentive. They have a wide variety of different mexican cuisine and lots of different drinks as well. We tried their tacos, plates, and their mangonada and their valnetines special strawberry colada and everything was fantastic. Would love to come back and try more.

Took my mom with her walker here. The staff was accommodating and helpful. The food was great. The bar is prominent but the atmosphere is still bright and upbeat. The food was very good. I'd go back, and I'd even bring Mom again.

Everything looked/tasted fresh and clean. Huge generous portions. Our family couldn't finish everything but we'll have lots of leftovers to take home. Very quick and friendly service as well

Living in California, I feel like we are privileged to have access to many good things - good weather, good landmarks, good food, and something that I have been craving as of late...good margaritas! When a good friend of mine suggested that we meet up to chat and enjoy a few drinks at Altos Cantina, I was delighted to see the many Yelp reviews praising the deliciousness of their margaritas. Although not in close proximity to my home in Elk Grove, I felt like this outing would definitely be worth the 30 minute journey!As we entered the establishment, we were swiftly greeted by Michael, a friendly employee that was behind the bar. I was a bit indecisive regarding my drink of choice, so Michael patiently waited as I weighed my options (they have plenty of them); I eventually opted for the Blackberry Margarita. As my friend and I chatted, Michael did a great job of checking in on us (we were only drinking, not eating) and brought us chips and salsa to snack on. Although the taste of alcohol was subtle (which I prefer), I found myself quite buzzed after finishing my first round.For the second round, I opted for the passion fruit margarita. While waiting for our drinks, another friendly employee (unfortunately I did not obtain her name) brought us waters. The passion fruit margarita was as subtle as the previous drink and flavorful. However, I did not find it as delicious as the blackberry margarita (my humble opinion). If you're looking for superb customer service paired with a good margarita or two, I highly recommend visiting Altos Cantina. I will be back next time to try their food options and of course their trademark margaritas!

We were in West Sacramento visiting friends and craving Mexican food. They suggested we come to Altos and I'm so glad we stopped by. I had the vegetarian burrito and my husband had carnitas. Both were delicious and authentic. The salsas that came with the complimentary chips were delicious, and the ambiance is really fun (it used to be a sports bar so there are TVs to watch games). Staff was friendly and warm. Will definietly be back the next time we are in the area!

Heads up: Happy hour is MON - THURS 2-5pm Their green salsa is a bit spicier which is better than before.I wish they didn't change their HH hours, 5pm is too early!Their Michelada was not cold!

The best red and green salsa combo I have found in all of Sacramento. Great place to watch a game, grab a beer and phenomenal food.Great service too. My enchiladas came out in 5 minutes - Always very quick
