Algo Bueno

Open late, with happy hour 9pm-closing. Private parking lot wraps around the business. Awesome service.Had a hankering for a burrito and their "Large" was large indeed even by my standards. I was torn between a shrimp and a beef burrito and the waitress made it a "Surf & Turf" burrito instead! Came with rice, beans, but no sour cream or guac. The shrimp was OK (this wasn't the AB Shrimp). J's large super birria burrito (added side of consome) was also great!Complimentary chicharrones chips and salsa -- the mango habanero was sweet but deadly. The red was also hot, the green a milder tomatillo. We also ordered a side of freshly fried tortilla chips and seasoned fries (was it tajin?). I also got a medium Horchata (non-alcoholic), although they did say they had a version with Hennesy and caramel. A few other tables ordered Micheladas/CoronaRitas and pina coladas. The bar was lively with music and sports/shows on the TVs. In hindsight, I may get a regular-sized burrito, burrito bowl, or tacos next time. Another new item I saw was a soup flight, neat! They have pozole, birria ramen, and maybe a tortilla soup?

Had an unlucky experience here with our server. Unfortunately, when our tacos got to our table, we noticed what looked like blood on our plates and had them taken back. The server came back and told us it was chamoy from the dishes he just bussed before bringing food out but later had a bandage on the thumb that was handling the dirtied plates served to us.We asked about this when we got up to pay and was ensured that it was chamoy, but the lady did not know that our server was now wearing a bandage and could only reassure us that she was unsure of the blood and that they made the food new.The entire moment, the lady looked at the plates and the guy's hands with him. Couldn't have been missed if it was blood, and even if it was chamoy, still means you brought food out with dirty hands.Unfortunate, but we left feeling like we had a shady and contaminated experience and won't be returning.Food: asada was fatty and oily, adobada was good, birria was decent. Green salsa was good, mango habanero was too sweet and not spicy.

Our family came here for a quiet late Valentine's Day dinner, just as we once had this past summer. Things did not go well. The Food and service could have been better, but the atmosphere, bar area, and music were so loud and chaotic. We couldn't even hear our waitress, and she could not hear us. Cursing in all the music being played, super loud. It has changed so much since I last went there, and not a place we will be returning to as the music and attitude at the bar is not for family or a quiet dinner experience. The bartenders got defensive and the vibe in the place, quickly changed once we asked if they could lower the music. If this is what the owner condones and thinks customers prefer, she is mistaken. No longer a fan!

My first time at Algo Bueno was a great experience! My partner and I stopped by on a random Sunday evening. We were craving micheladas & the ones at Algo Bueno hit the spot! Although we hadn't intended on ordering any food, we ended up trying the tacos, which were pretty good! I enjoyed having the duritos to snack on while we waited for our food and drinks. I will definitely be back soon to try more things on the menu!

I really wanted to give it a 4 star because I have been recommended by several folks as I love soup, which I did order the soup flight. I had the albondicas, green chicken pozole and carne en su Jugo and the surf and turf taco. The service was okay. It was a Sunday so they were pretty busy.The soups were warm, I wish they were hot being that it is super cold outside. The pozole did not have much hominy. I do recognize they are smaller bowls. But think I think I probably had like 3 of them. The carne soup was pretty good though. The albonicas was okay. I did appreciate the veggies in it. Those were nicely cookedSo you why the three stars? Well one big thing is the price on their menu is not what we were charged. For the soup flights it was $3 more. We spoke to the server and they said oh yah, the prices changed. Customers service, they should have at least told us that the price changed right when we submitted the order. I would have still ordered them. I understand that the prices of food has gone up. I was excited to try the soup flight! I drove up from Stockton to meet up with my amiga. We both got the same soup flight which was carne en su jugo, chicken pozole and albondigas. We ordered surf and turf tacos as well. Overall the soups are tasty, but we were served at least ten if not 15 minutes apart and we ordered the same exact thing! My soups were all at different temperatures, with one of them tasting almost cold... it was VERY lukewarm. We did have some great pinwheels to enjoy during our wait but sheez! Then the taco.... well I could taste no surf with the turf. It was tasty but where they hid the shrimp... I couldn't tell. I should have taken a picture but believe me they can do better.Then we didn't ask for an itemized check. Please review your check! I had overheard another table telling someone about a $3 overcharge. I should have been nosier. What we found out was that they charged us $3 more for each soup flight than what is advertised on their menu. The waitress apologized and said they will change the menus "soon". She knew of the error but didn't bring an itemized check and didn't say anything until after my friend paid. I know it was just $6 but ... if you know it's an issue (that was what the other table was warning the others about I bet) then why wasn't anything said?The wait, the cold soup and the upcharge took a star off. The flavors were great and could have been better. That taco would have tasted great if it had visible shrimp. Maybe next time.

After seeing their soup flights advertised on Instagram, my soup loving husband insisted we shoudl check it out for ourselves.We came in around 2:00 pm on a Tuesday, and it was pretty quiet with a few customers dining in the restaurant. We sat down where we wanted and placed our order shortly after.My husband ordered the soup flight and I ordered an AB shrimp taco and a Quesabirria taco. They have tons of soup selections so it was a bit hard to narrow our order down to 3. He ordered Albondigas, pozole, and carne en su jugo and they were all delicious. Carne en su jugo was the most favorful one with a hint of chili. My personal favorite was the Albondigas because it was easy to eat and I love the fluffy meatballs and fresh vegetables.My tacos came on a square plate with plenty of condiments, such as chipolte sauce, lemon/lime wedges, birria broth, and fresh grocamole. It looked really neatly presented and I felt fancy. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and might come back to get TWO soup flights so we can try up to 6 different soups.

I came after work always drive by it and I told myself let me try it. The wet burrito sauce was on point. Customer service was nice very clean. Will definitely be back only given a four point star because the chicken was kind of crispy. That's the only thing that was bad about it, but besides that it was very good I will definitely be back in the bar is really nice and a happy hour. Drinks are reasonable prices

We discovered Algo Bueno on Instagram and decided to give it a try, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. While the food itself was good, the overall experience left much to be desired.The customer service was disappointing--no one greeted us when we arrived, and it took a long time to get our food. The drinks didn't look anything like the beautifully presented ones we saw on Instagram, which was a letdown.They were busy, so we tried to be understanding, but paying $15 for two churros felt overpriced. It's safe to say we probably won't be going back.Hopefully, they can improve the customer experience in the future because the food itself has potential.

Everything worth it. Food, service, Food , food , food! Bruh this is a must try when you in the area
