Friendly and yummy on a Friday afternoon. We had the clam chowder bowl and BLT sandwich with coleslaw. They offer shakes and pie slices too! & Thank you Vanessa!

The stars are for1-service2-cleanliness3-location (proximity to SMF)4-24 hour service5-lots of parkingok- the food? Well, it's a diner what can I say? But no matter how you cut this pie, the plusses made me overlook the food or the menu. Here's my story:Having driven an hour north from Napa in the wee hours of the morning to drop off my travel partner who had a 5 am flight out of SMF, my other travel partner and I had 3 hours to KILL while waiting for our flights..... 49er Diner was the only game in town. Don't believe Google or anyone else! Take it from me. I KNOW.....Well we at least had a warm place and some coffee to pass the time waiting for our turn to fly.... it's about a 7.5 minute drive to SMF

The service at this area is really nice. We came here at 5am for breakfast and the convenience of it was great. I didn't even know this was here. It's a decent diner that serves hot food that is pretty good and has hospitable service. Breakfast is 24 hours and they have lunch/dinner options too. The waitress said they are short a cook so from 1230-5am they are closed for now. The tri tip omelet we had wasn't on the menu, so we ordered a tri tip breakfast and a side of veggies for $19+2.7 and the portion was great. I had the tri tip breakfast and it was a lot of food!Would recommend ! It isn't the fanciest and it isn't the finest cuisine, but I like it better than neighboring breakfast places for sure. More bang for your buck.

In the past I would patron this "DINER" . Not a diner anymore more like a cafeteria . Walk up to the counter and place your order . They throw napkins utensils and drinkware onto a tray or you and your on your own so as far as service "Thumbs down" --- Food was awful . Old bacon Tasteless , Country potatoes "greasy" tasted old . Eggs over easy (OK) French toast was ok , Diner was nicely decorated but I will no longer go here as I want to sit down be served coffee and my order to be taken at the table

Great service is hard to come by these days, but Sacramento 49er Diner is absolutely nailing it! We went back for breakfast last Saturday--our second visit--and it did not disappoint. Not only are the portions enormous and the food delicious, but the prices are unbeatable.Beyond the incredible food, the service here is what truly shines. JR was running the front of the house like a pro--taking orders, working the cash register, and delivering food with impressive efficiency. When Monica, our server, joined after her lunch break, her sweet and cordial demeanor made the experience even better. She brightened our day with her kindness! The breakfast burrito is a must-have, but after seeing the burgers and pancakes being served to other tables, those are next on our list. Can't wait to come back--this place is a gem!

BLUF: A very clean diner with fast and friendly service. The menu is full of options, and I chose the mushroom Swiss burger. The burger was adequately cooked with freshly sautéed mushrooms, onions, mayo, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. The fries were crisp and plentiful! I stopped and parked here for the night, expecting to door-dash food or eat at the standard truck stop fast food restaurant. There is a Black Bear Diner across the street, but I saw this place first and decided to give it a try. You order your food and pay at the counter, where they have some desserts on display for purchase. After you pay, you are handed a tray and told to sit anywhere. The patrons are primarily truckers seeking refuge from their trucks while working on laptops, reading, and talking on their phones. There is enough space to choose the perfect seat, with plenty of comfortable booths. My food was out within 10 minutes, and I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance and quality of the arrangement. It tasted as good as it looked, and I would come back here to eat if ever in the area gain. Note of caution: the area draws in local, opportunistic vagrants. Keep aware of your belongings, lock your vehicle, and don't get sucked into interactions with them. One tried to "borrow" my phone to call a bank in Idaho...uh, no.

These were one of the best burgers I've had in Sac. Their fries were so crispy and the ranch is BOMB. There was 1 guy working and he was amazing.
