I went here with my mom for lunch. When you first walk in, it has an old English/Irish pub feel. It was pretty busy when we walked in but we were seated quickly. My mom ordered the seasonal mule and sliders and I ordered the chicken pesto lunch bowl and old fashioned. The food and drinks were fantastic!! I also really enjoyed our server Claire, she was attentive and friendly. Even though she was bartending and serving the bar tables, she still managed to personally connect with each table. I'll definitely be back!

We had the pleasure of visiting 36 Handles in El Dorado Hills on St. Patrick's Day, and despite the bustling crowd and live band, the staff handled everything with remarkable efficiency. Despite the lack of reservations and our large party of 10, they managed to find us a table without much delay. The wait staff deserves special recognition for their exceptional service, as they worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was seated as quickly as possible. The use of disposable silverware and plates didn't detract from the experience. Now, onto the food - it was delicious! The corned beef and cabbage were cooked to perfection, and the shepherd's pie was a personal favorite. The menu offered a variety of Irish drinks, which added to the festive atmosphere and made the evening all the more enjoyable.Overall, 36 Handles provided a fantastic St. Patrick's Day experience, with great food, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere. I look forward to returning for more memorable occasions in the future.

Okay food. Great beer selection. Decent live music. Needs more of a crowd to make it vibe. Staff is great. A bit pricey. I will definitely be back, but I don't see it becoming my regular.

Food was average. Nice live music was a really good treat.Servers are good. I was part of a wedding party having day before wedding dinner so I'm not sure I can give the best answer when it's different than regular ordering of the menu.

Great live music last night! (Fretless the band) Nice to be indoors with air conditioning, versus outdoor music in this Summer heat. Prior to going, I had searched on this yelp page for "gluten free" and found a critical review of this restaurant, so wanted to update anyone else looking for gluten free that I did just fine here, they were very accomodating. They have gluten free bread that you can substitute on any sandwich/ burger (at an extra charge, like most places do), and they did a lettuce wrap on a sandwich for me instead, so that was great.

This review is long over due, 36 Handles is a hidden gem. I absolutely love all of the team members here they're all so helpful, kind, and fun! Jake is an awesome bartender that always recommends the most delicious menu items like the Birra burger (life changing)! So good and always a treatCheers

Food = 2 out 5Services = cordial but forgetful and absentAmbiance = average for a non updated pub but newer murals on walls are out of character.Hope the owner take the opportunity soon to keep this establishment open and somewhat relevant.Several other local restaurants with better food, service and ambiance.

I've had some faux fish and chips before but this has to rate as one is the worse. First, the chips are not chips, they were floppy sad string fries. Tasted like frozen fries. Second, the so-called beer battered fish was droopy and soggy. Things have gone down hill since English Richard ran the place as the original Irish Pub. It's not a Pub now, it's some sorta weird mix of badly designed menu and decor, like Johnny Cash looking angry on the wall; I know why! Look up the Golden Hind and Warwick Arms in London to see what F&C really looks like. And Pubs these days serve Chicken Pub Curry to go with great ales. I would give this place a pass. Too bad, if they invested in their food, given the location, they'd be a goto spot for miles around. Such a missed opportunity.

Been eating at 36 Handles for over 15 years. Todays lunch was not so good. Had the turkey club. Very dry. Shaved turkey, little bacon. $19.00. Really? Friend had the cobb salad and said it was underwhelming. Also $19. Service was excellent though, just don't recommend the food right now and it's overpriced.
