Had my sight out on Laotian food and this place did not disappoint! Everything was so good! Beware of the spice. I can handle spicy and this had a good kick at a level 3. Nam KhaoThum Mak HoongGarlic TroutSai OouaPanh PaAll 5/5. Nam Khao and Sai Ooua are very popular Laotian dishes. Although good. I would say favorite dish was the Panh Pa and Garlic Trout. Service was quick and superior. Plenty of room for a group as well. Come give it a try!

The best Lao restaurant I've been to! The staff is nice and takes care of tasks in an orderly fashion. Ordered Nam Khao, the sausages, sticky rice, tapioca meat balls, and khao poon. The Lao food tastes so good, it reminded me of home and my family. You know the feeling you get after eating good food, you get a food coma and feel super heavy? The food was so good, it gave me more energy and genuinely made me feel happier and lowered my anxiety level. I also didn't have a food coma or feel a heavy weight inside as well - I was functioning much better. The food was so good, it actually makes you want to tip more! At least that's what happened with me.Overall, the best Lao food I've had. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for amazing Lao food. Will come back again!

Chicken wings were average. No special seasonings. Moist. Served with a side of sweet and sour sauce. The Nam Khao I couldn't eat. I love this type of food as a southeast Asian, but the plate they served was way too salty, and I see that as a trend now when reading other reviews. I couldn't eat it on its own, so tried cutting the saltiness by wrapping it in the lettuce they provided... but they only gave us 3 leaves of lettuce for this big platter... so it didn't help much. The papaya salad was also overpowered by salt. It needed more balance with sweet and sour, but it was more palatable than the nam khao. The jerky was great though!

Bottom Line - Yelp's average star rating does not match this restaurant. The food is both overly salty and bland from one bite to the next. There is so much good Thai food in Seattle but this is not one of them. Would not come back. Would not order take out. Do not recommend. Also, I waitress did not use a pad to write down our order and messed up our order (we ordered 4 dishes and a coke). They also do not turn on the heating system and everyone inside is wearing puffy coats, including me. Came on January 13, 2024 for dine in. Ordered: coke, crab delight, pad see ew, pad Thai, and Thai fried rice. Coke - they brought us Diet Coke and we had to wait 5 minutes for them to come back so we could correct it. Crab Delight - it's only cream cheese. Maybe a few strands of imitation crab, but it's so little that I don't know why they bother. 2/10Pad Thai - I think they make it with ketchup instead of tamarind. Overly salty. Would not order again. 1/10Pad See Ew - the eggs had a funk taste. Also overly salty from one but and then the next has no salt. I do like that they use fresh noodles, but it's lacking in everywhere else. Before the food came, waitress came back asking about the potstickers we ordered. We did not order potstickers. 0/10Thai Fried Rice - we also ordered this dish, but it never came and did not appear on the final bill. I would have been happier going to the Panda Express a block west of

This is a review for three lunch time visits to Sabai Sabai (7/12/19, 11/22/19, and 8/29/23). I can't speak about dinner, however the regular menu had quite the variety. I observed several folks come in to pick up their takeout orders during my third visit, so that's pretty well established.Sabai Sabai is located on 164th (North Lynnwood/Martha Lake area) on the east side of I-5 in a non descript strip mall. Keep to the right and it's after the Bowlero and State Farm. If you see Walgreens, you've driven past it. Tight parking spaces in a shared lot, just an fyi if you're wary about such things.I can vouch that the lunch combo specials are a great deal ($12.50 w/chicken, pork, or tofu; +$1 more for beef; +$3 more for prawns). One gets a fried Crab Delight app with a touch of chili sauce, steamed rice, phad thai, and a choice of entree (9 to choose from). Spiciness level can be requested accordingly. On one of the three visits, I also added the Lao pork sausage (Sai Ooua). Delicious and with a kick!First two visits back in 2019 had a starter soup served, my recent third visit on 8/29/23, however, did not.As a creature of habit, I often lean towards Panang Curry with either pork or chicken. The tender meat with the flavorful panang curry and coconut milk sauce, basil leaves, and red/green bell peppers are spot on. I've also had the peanut sauce delight with spinach too. The crab cream cheese app is ample, while the accompanying steamed rice and pad thai noodles are generous portions. Everything has been consistently prepared: piping hot, fresh, and made to order.Welcoming, efficient, and unobtrusive service. One person usually covered the entire dining room plus takeouts from the counter. However, I always felt well taken care of - food was served within a reasonable amount of time, iced water was always refilled, check and takeout boxes provided. It was nostalgic to revisit after a four year interval. It was also good to see that it had remained open for business, thriving via onsite dining or takeout, and with consistent quality. A decent choice for lunch if you're in the vicinity.

Situated in a bit rundown strip mall, Sabai Sabai looks a bit timid from the outside. The interior is a clean, homey space with lots of tables. Sabai means relaxed or comfortable, and when repeated, they really want you to feel at home. The servers are very friendly and so attentive that they bring you things that you need before you even ask. The Panang Curry was a revelation. It will be the standard by which I will measure all future Panang Curry. Silky smooth creaminess covers your taste buds then a little spiciness remains to prolong the bliss....I will definitely be back to explore much more of their menu.

Tried this place through DoorDash delivery. Crab delight was light and crispy. Everything else was overly salty. Pad Thai was too "ketchuppy" and very salty, I couldn't have more than 2 bites. Pad see ew has good flavor but yet again, very salty. It's very rare I can't finish a plate of pad see ew, it's my favorite noodle dish but I couldn't even finish half portion because of how salty it was. The panang curry has good flavor but also very salty, up side is one portion can go with a lot of rice. Overall flavors not bad but given the available Thai restaurant options nearby, this won't be my go to.

I just love this place. Not only is their food delicious but their service and kindness is amazing. Tonight I ordered beef phad thai and a thai ice coffee through door dash. What was delivered is beef phad thai and TWO thai ice coffees. I called them to offer to pay for the second ice coffee and they were so kind and said to enjoy the second thai ice coffee on them. Honestly I think she was surprised someone called to pay for the second. I believe in karma so there's that. I know it's not a lot, but just the kindness of that situates them as one of my favorite thai places in Lynnwood!
