I am updating my review because last weekend I went to S3 for the first time ever at their new location. Yes, I know that they changed to a bigger store a few years back, but I have since moved to another part of town and had not been back.I first found S3 at least 6 or 7 years ago when I found myself at the nearby Discount Tire with a flat tire. I had been looking for a nice place to kill some time and had come across S3. After that, I came by periodically because it was always a lovely place with lots of original coffee and non-coffee drinks. After moving to another part of town, I had been meaning to get back and try the new, larger location. Last Saturday was finally that day. I met up with a friend for a little catch up time and a refreshing drink. I was impressed by the new, larger space and the creative decor. It was nice and cool on a hot day. We were welcomed upon walking in and given a bit of time to browse the menu. My dog was also welcomed. I chose a non-coffee drink called Golden Hour which was a hibiscus mango drink. I rarely drink fruity drinks like this, but I liked that it was not too sweet and was nice and refreshing. They have a few food items on the menu... some pastries and basic lunch items. My friend had the chia pudding. My dog enjoyed a pup cup. We sat chatting for a couple hours. The atmosphere was great. They sell some really cute cards and small gift items as well.If you are near Grantville, stop by S3 for a drink!

Was getting new tires and stopped by S3 in order to wait. It was between this shop or another one down the street and I'm happy I came to this one. This one was super cute. There's an outdoor patio that me and my dog stayed at. It's covered so there's very little sun that we were exposed to. There's about 12 tables and 24 chairs on the patio. Inside there's roughly 20 tables and booths including one that's handicapped. They are well spaced out so you can easily maneuver between them and you wont be able to hear your neighbors conversation so easily. The menu is both printed on the counter to order as well as on the large TV screen. It's pretty simple to order and they accept card. If you prefer, there's a drive thru. I came here at 11am on a Tuesday and it was about a quarter filled. There's parking available and it shares the lot with Taco Fiesta restaurant. I ordered the Iced Rose Gold Latte (there's one with coffee and one that's a tea, make sure you differentiate). The coffee tasted pretty strong and it gave me the much needed energy boast for the rest of the day. I had it with whole milk but I think it might be creamier with an alternative. It wasn't too overly sweet neither. It looked very pretty. I didn't eat anything. The food looked pretty basic but the pastries looked pretty decent. Service was very nice. They hooked my dog up with a puppuccino and a dog bowl. People there were nice. Mostly left us alone as we were working (him on his bone) and me on my laptop.

Smell, sip, and savor.... S3!I've been here a few times and my experiences have all been good. There is a drive thru, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, clean restrooms, cool decor, laid back atmosphere, friendly service, food, drinks, merchandise, and average prices. I have had tried a variety of their drinks, both hot and iced. All have been good and flavorful. My favorite is their Rainbow latte- French vanilla flavor (not on their menu and used to be served only on weekends). I like the presentation and it's not too sweet allowing me to taste the espresso. I've had some of their pastries (almond croissant and breads) and they have been fresh and tasty. My favorite is their avocado toast- mashed avocado, greens, mozzarella balls, balsamic, and crushed pepper. You can also add protein if you choose (salmon, prosciutto, or egg). I've never had a bad experience here and their coffee is worth trying. I would recommend enjoying your coffee inside, if you have the time. Enjoy the cool chill vibe to go with your caffeine fix.

I have always had S3 on my café radar, and so when i was finally in the area where this is located, i thought why not finally give this place a try?Unfortunately, my experience was just disappointing. I really wanted to like this place because my friends have raved about it! I ordered an iced matcha latte with oat milk and a couple pumps of lavender syrup. It was around $8. I was so excited to drink this thing, but when they finally called my name and i saw my drink on the counter, i was so bummed. :( It looked like a cup of iced milk with a whisper of matcha-- it was light light green sweet milk essentially. I expected my matcha latte to be a darker shade of green and to actually taste like matcha especially if it's nearly $10. I'm not sure if i just went on an off day or what-- thats what i think is the case bc s3 has good reviews... I gave s3 two stars for the clean and cutesy aesthetic, but not sure if it would be worth it to come back

I had taken a friend to the hospital and needed some coffee because it was too early! Searched for coffee and the usual places came up, but then S3. I had never heard of it, and I must've driven by the location thinking it was part of the Mexican restaurant next door! The young woman was friendly and excited it was my first time. Ordered a lavender honey latte and a croissant. I should've had them toast it. But, everything was just what I needed. That latte was really good! And I liked how there was dried lavender flowers as a garnish. The interior is very Instagram worthy, and they have some nice tables outside. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

I really like coming to this coffee spot for either hanging out with friends, studying or cute morning date spot. Their drinks are really creative and cute. They make colorful designs in your drinks, sometimes too pretty to drink! The baristas are super nice and if you have any concerns or questions about your coffee or non coffee item they give great suggestions! Not only have I've gotten their iced and hot coffees I have also tried their avocado toast and açaí bowls and they are really good! Big portions and filling. The inside of the coffee shop I'm always in awe! It's so adorable and cute in there. The designs are beautiful and trendy. If you haven't been here, I highly recommend! Not only is the coffee and the food great but the inside of the coffee shop is an experience that everyone should check out!

This spot almost got 5 stars except their internet SUCKKKSSS!! The number 1 reason I stay inside of a coffee shop is to get work done, so I was very disappointed when I couldn't connect to their wifi. Other than that, great ambiance- cute AF, great staff- super friendly, amazing drinks- very unique, and bomb food- also very unique! This is a must try coffee shop in SD! Just don't expect to be able to use the Wifi :(

Anyone who knows me, knows I can't start my day without a coffee in my hand! Being an SD local, I had no idea this cute coffee shop existed! Thanks to my Yelpie friends for calling this place out!Rainbow Latte. Basically you can get any hot coffee in house and request the rainbow latte art. My coffee was a Mocha and it was delicious and pretty at the same time! You can take some coffee to go, but you won't get the pretty latte art. Lavender London Fog. This is a tea recommended by one of the baristas because they decorate in a way where you can see the clouds on the side of the glass! I also love the layering of different colors of the drink. Surprisingly, the caramel flavor pulled through in this drink. I did have their pesto sandwich because I had the munchies. It was good but really the stars of this visit were the drinks and the ambiance. Beyond the beautiful drinks, the restaurant is super cute. They also have a cute line art phone booth in the corner of the line art seating area, which is a cool spot to take some selfies. You see alot of college students here since it's super close to SDSU. The baristas are nice and provide alot of helpful drink suggestions. Definitely a must visit when you're in the area.

I enjoy this coffee shop for it's lounge vibes, creative beverages, & delicious food! This is my 2nd time here & although the drink I wanted was no longer on the menu, the barista helped me customize my drink in a different way. I got an iced matcha latte with lavender & oatmilk. After a few swirls to cool the drink & mix it up, it was perfect. PRO TIP: Pay the extra $1 to upgrade the quality to ceremonial grade matcha. It's unsweetened as well (you can add your own sugar if you feel the need)The chicken pesto melt sandwich on ciabatta toast was quite nice (reminded me of the Starbucks version but made better & fresher)It's so cute inside it's hard to not want to sit in the artsy corner, but there's plenty of patio seating for those perfect weather days. If you're into coffee shop merch, theirs is actually pretty nice + they have greeting cards, metal straws, & other gifts.
