S.D. Kabob Shack

After 18 holes at the Eastlake golf course I came to check out Sd kabob shack. I'm a big fan ever since I went to the Chula Vista location. I walked in and was greeted by the cashier who took my order - California wrap with gyro meat. I also ordered a chicken plate to go for my wife. My buddy who I played golf with got a burger. The ambiance was chill - played some chill ambient beats like they do at the first location. A few customers came in and dined in shortly after - as well as a handful of to go orders (like door dash). I received my food and was super pleased to see it was consistent with the first location. They also had all the same sauces... I'm a major fan of the chipotle sauce. The gyro wrap was gone within minutes and my buddy loved the burger. My wife enjoyed her chicken plate and said it tasted as good as the original location. The food is just that dang good!Super glad to see this family owned restaurant is growing. Shout out to the owners for doing a great job and bringing kabob shack to Eastlake. My go to after I play golf!

I really wanted to like this place- gotta support local businesses! But there were so many cons that outweighed the good. Starting with the good- I really enjoyed the fries. They were perfect. They were super crispy and well seasoned.My burger was tasty and the bun was perfectly toasted, but the patty was a dry, burnt hockey puck. Maybe it was my fault for getting a burger at a kabob shop, but it's called "world famous" so I had to try it. The sauces were pretty nasty. If you're gonna give me a dry burger, at least give me a good sauce to slather on it. The only passable sauce was the white sauce. The spice level was great on the red sauce (mango chili) but it was super sour and fruity.. it wasn't for me. The afghan chutney was pure vinegar with a couple cilantro leaves floating in it. The kicker was how dirty the place was as other reviews mentioned. When I ordered at the register, there were gnats buzzing around my face. I wanted to sit at the counter but there was a huge pube where I was about to put my drink down. The floor was littered with lettuce and crumbs from other people's meals, and it was dark so all the trash shows up more. Nobody bothered to wipe the sauce station that was crusted with red sauce splatter. The trash had sauce splatter too. I mean if the front of house looked that bad, I can only imagine how disgusting the back of house is. I'm leaving 2 stars- 1 for the fries and 1 for the taste of the burger. It looks like the owner is active on Yelp so respectfully, please clean your store it was really gross and just looks like nobody cares.

Yes 1st time here and loved the food Food was very tasty and all made to order Def my new spot for kabob here in CV Service was friendly and accommodating Ambiance is nice and clean space

The 4 times I have ordered food from this restaurant the food has always been delicious! Highly recommend trying this restaurant! I personally like the gyro wrap!

Had to try this place out since we live so close! Cute little small business that's in a big plaza with plenty of parking. Service was great and the workers are very friendly. We ordered the Triple Kabob Kombo (has steak, gyro, chicken) and Spicy Tandoori Chicken Rice Plates! Both come with salad, grilled veggies and pita bread. Might I add, a nice, large serving. We also got the house white sauce and medium chipotle sauce which is self-served. Both rice plates were delicious and filling. I would totally come back to try more things from the menu! Definitely have to support this small business, highly recommend!

I was so excited to hear that SD Kabob Shack opened a second location! I was craving chicken kabob so I decided to check out the new location. I went on the second day that it was open and the service was fantastic. The owner was very friendly and energetic. You could tell he loves what he does and takes pride in the food that he serves. The place itself is clean and has unique artwork on the wall. I also like the surrounding area that the restaurant is located in.I ordered the chicken kabob plate (my usual) and it was so good! The chicken was very flavorful, tender and juicy. I love whatever marinade they use. The rice was fluffy and tasted good with the sauces they have. I enjoyed the salad, spicy grilled jalapeño and grilled tomato as well! The jalapeño definitely had a kick to it! I ordered Zataar fries on the side and I basically inhaled them. It tasted really good with the chipotle and spicy mango sauce that they have.While I was enjoying my food, since I was sitting at the table closest to the register counter, I overheard a few other customers ordering and I couldn't help but notice how nice the owner was! He gave a small plate of rice and chicken to a customer to try, he offered extra sauces to another customer, and he also gave my husband and I a couple pieces of filet kabob to try- it was SO good and I'll probably order that next time. Overall, 10/10 food and service!

Food is great! Love the chicken tandoori and those roasted tomatoes and jalapeños are awesome!

One word to describe the food: FLAVOR!!! The gyro rice plate & Moussa's famous chicken kabob rice plate were absolutely delicious. Both the meats & the veggies had an amazing smoky/charred taste & were definitely well-seasoned. There's also tasty sauces that you can pick that are self-serve. The service was fast & there was some seating for dining, but we chose to take our food to-go.

Delicious food the fries were crispy and not soggy whatsoever !!! The portions were great, Great prices!! Friendly staff!!!

Amazing food! Must try, its a hidden gem. We havent visited the location, but ordered Doordash and everything was freshly made and delicioous.
