S.D. Kabob Shack

SD Kabob Shack may be small, but it packs a flavorful punch! Ambiance reminds me a bit of a deli shop. The burger was top-notch, and my wife's protein plate with salad was equally delicious. Quick service sealed the deal. This is our go-to spot for kabobs now, and we can't wait to try their euro next! Or I may stick to the burger. I honestly think you can't go wrong with any plate they have to offer here. Definitely settle for the burger and fries if you can't decide. It won't disappoint!

Spot is high key in the middle of national city, so expect a bunch of weird people in or around this place. Service is straight forward and smooth, although sometimes you get there and nobody is managing the front, maybe due to lack of employees. Bad on the owner but not our business to meddle into. 4 stars because although the food is tasty and good, my one complaint would be that their plates have a lot of oil, literally I could scoop 2 full spoons of oil from this one gyro plate I bought 2 weeks ago. I would still come back to eat here.

Disappointed thats all i can say i thought i waa eating middle eastern food not mexican i asked for a gyro flatbread and i get a carne asada burrito i also ordered falafel and its all burned hard to eat....Service was not the best i was looking to ordered on the tablet and the girl wanted to help but i think she was not a lot of help as she gave me what she wanted and not what i ordered Place looks like a mexican taco shop and employees make you feel like your in one the are screaming in spanish in the back "dice no cebolla pero esta madre tiene" educate your employees when people are present inside the shop

I'm a sucker for a Gyro sandwich. If it's on the menu, 90% of the time I'm ordering it!We had a coupon deal that needed to be spent, so we went HAM and ordered 4 gyro pita sandwiches - if only you could've seen the heart eyes I had that day.First off - these sandwiches were portioned so well; tons of meat in each one. They don't skimp here!The bread was so soft - it was like eating pillows or clouds. It was the perfect vessel to get that salty/herby meat into my mouth. The gyro meat was thickly cut, so it was still juicy and flavorful on the inside - when places cut it too thin, it cooks too long and becomes a little crispy and dry. No. Thank. You!There were several sauces you can take home. The classic tzatziki, a tangy and spicy chipotle, and a green herby one that was a version of chutney. They were all good in their own way, but my favorite was to mix the green and tzatziki together to get a creamy yet flavorful sauce to smother on that sando.If you're in the area - this is a GREAT gyro spot!!

My first time trying SD kabob shack. The girl at the front counter was patient and made some good recommendations which I followed. I bought the chicken kabob plate with rice and a couple of grilled vegetables on the side, along with a Greek salad. Everything was packaged well especially the salad which came in a little container which I almost felt bad for throwing out when I was finished. It also came with a type of flat bread. The chicken was plentiful and flavorful cut in a nice little cubes and the rice was cooked to what I considered to be perfectly. The grilled vegetables on the side were a nice touch and the assortment of sauces that were available made the whole meal even better. I will be ordering from them again for certain.

Amazing food, service and extremely clean place in Chula Vista! The food was fresh made and very tasty. The place was clean too! Will definitely come back again

Yum this place was delicious. Meat is so flavorful. Love that the fries are seasoned and crispy. The wrap is huge. I got the steak and guacamole one. It comes with fries, lettuce, fries and steak and some kind of sauce. There is 3 types of sauces you can get on the side. Two smokey hot sauces one is chipotle and the other one is mango. The other one is a cream sauce. I loved the wrap and want to come back and try some of the other food options. Great service. Great new spot. They have a guava soda that was good. Lots of parking available.

I live eating kabob plates and trying out new shops. Because I've tried so many, I'm very particular about the food. The service here was very welcoming and the food looked very appealing and well seasoned! I ordered the chicken kabob plate, which is their most popular dish. I feel like it lacked flavor despite its looks. The salad it came with was bland, with no dressing and tasted a bit old. I also tried their house sauce which was very good and gave flavor to the meal.

Second time I have been here I really like it. Nice and friendly staff. Good portions, salad is fresh, rice pilaf is good. Overall seasoning is great. The Chipotle Sumac sauce is my Favorite!

The food here is amazing! The place is nothing fancy and they limit your sauces but everything I've had is delicious!! My favorite is the gyro pita wrap!! 10/10
