I love this place. It's reasonably priced, the menu is expansive, it's delicious, and any place that allows waffle fries as a starch option is going to get an A+ in my book.I took a class in Lynden and drove past every week, and I FINALLY convinced a friend to go there with me. I was expecting "dive" but it really isn't. It's a family friendly place with just great food and really friendly staff. I've been several times since then, and have taken guests visiting the area as well. It resulted in one of the funniest burgers we have ever seen - the way too much cheese burger. You can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches, though I have a soft spot for the Reuben. I keep looking for an excuse to go back - it's hard to get to Lynden for a quick lunch, but I might just bite the bullet because it's worth it.

Well, I can say this is definitely the most disappointed I've been since starting my yelp. A good friend really talked this place up and said it was some of the best food in the area, so I was excited to go.I'm from the south and haven't had one of my favorite foods, biscuits and gravy, in a few years. I decided this would be the best place to try! The meal comes with hash browns, but I didn't want starch with starch so asked to substitute it for sausage links. I was told they don't substitute meat with anything, despite being asked if I wanted to spend 3 dollars extra for eggs. So, they're okay with charging you for add ons, but not removing the thing you don't want. I can see why now, the hash browns covered over half the plate!The lumpiness in the photo is not from any sausage in the gravy, that is all unmixed flour. It was unseasoned as well and I had to add a lot of pepper to even recognize I was eating something and not just breathing heavy air. The biscuits were about as fluffy as a plank of wood. The hash browns were unsalted and bland and there was so, so much of them.The decor and atmosphere was nice, but the food lacked and just made me miss any mom and pop chuck wagon eatery back in the south. This was a poor imitation, both in service and food quality.

My family and I drove down to Washington for a day trip and ended up here for breakfast. What a cute place. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant is fun and laid back. I had a fun time reading all the different signs and pictures on the walls.The food was homey and real tasty. I ordered the corned beef hash pile up, and it was one of the best corned beef I've had in a long long time.Next time we come down to Washington, I would love to come back and try the breakfast burrito.

It's a vibe. We went to the Rusty Wagon for dinner. I ordered the fish and chips. Though a bit greasy, the fish was delicious. My parents ordered from the senior menu and they really enjoyed the food. The portions on the senior menu were really quite generous and my mom had leftovers to spare. As for the general atmosphere and service here, it's awesome. The environment from when you first enter the parking lot is full of wonder. It's a kid's and possibly adult's dream for photos and fun.

We took a drive from Tacoma to visit a nephew. He took us here and showed us the environment. Food was great but took a lil long, service was okay. Can't expect a lot on a busy day. I enjoyed it still.

A great spot for a meal on Lynden.As we drove up to Rusty Wagon and began to see all the unique decor, I knew I was gonna enjoy this place.Staff greeted us warmly and we were seated promptly. I ordered the country fried steak with extra hashbrowns and no toast. The portion was very good for the price and it all tasted really good.My daughter had a kids menu option which was the french toast with strawberries and whipped cream with a side of sausage links which she devoured in no time. Either she was really hungry or she could have used a bit more food.I like this place and would definitely come back here the next time I'm around the area.

Ate here for breakfastI got the eggs Benedict , they used a giant slab of the wrong ham and it was way too sweet and the dish overall was not enjoyableI would have ordered the has dish but they use hash browns which is not proper for a hash breakfastNot sure if I would come back

Nice country diner. Been there twice and it had good breakfast food both times. Very friendly staff and great service.

We are local and have been customers of Rusty for many, many years. I've noticed lately that the quality has gone down. I always get the cordon bleu. The vegetables that come with it are gross and super watery with every bite. The mashed potatoes I usually get with them were runny and not of the correct consistency. You can tell by the pic. I thought it was a fluke until my dad had a similar experience recently with his meal. I will say, the salad bar is my draw to Rusty, it's legit. It seems they are focusing all their energy on Rustlers and the remodel instead of Rusty. I'm not sure we will be back, which is sad, but paying for a bad meal isn't fun.
