Rusty Pelican is always one of my top choices for brunch!! They are open everyday just for brunch so I certainly trust their quality and professionalism! Today I introduced my friend this place. We ordered the Eggs Benedict (always my go-to for brunch!) and Fiesta Skillet. Delicious! Portion is perfect for me. Service was wonderful as the server was very friendly and attentive. I always appreciate the simple and elegant decor /interiors. Less 1 star simply because my friend said it was a bit noisy. But she certainly will come back!

I came to Rusty Pelican Cafe with family members that lived in New Zealand and were visiting as well as my parents for brunch one time approximately 6 to 7 years ago (writing this review Tuesday 2 January 2024). We had a little bit of a wait and the wait staff was fully occupied by the number of customers. The wait for ordering/the food was a little on the longer side. Offerings were varied enough we each found something we wanted. No one was upset with the food they ordered and we were able to hear each other as we spoke and ate.

The servings are big, service is fast, and the food is fresh, but it unfortunately lacks a lot of taste. I really wanted to like everything but I wasn't impressed. They do use real maple syrup - so had to give a star for that. I think they try to make their own whip cream too. Despite being extremely busy service and food were quick! They have outdoor seating suitable for people with dogs.

From the customer service to the food to the ambience, this is one of the best brunches I've had since moving back to Washington State. Highlights: - The waitstaff. There is always someone floating around with water or coffee. At the beginning of our meal we were shown the special breads of the day. Our waitress was funny, matter-of-fact, and efficient. - The food. The biscuits are pillowy soft and huge (if you're into all things bread, you can't go go wrong with any of their baked goods). The Dungeness Crab Benedict was not stingy on the crab and well liked by my dining companion. My scramble was well executed, and another dining companion's potatoes were thin-cut deliciousness. - Ambience. Yes, it is busy. Yes, the wait can be long (thankfully for us it wasn't). But the interior design and farmhouse chic vibe just add to the quaint feel of the diners and downtown Edmonds. Eating outside on the sidewalk on a sunny summer morning just can't be beat. While we waited, people fawned over dogs and generally were in great spirits. I can't wait to return and try another special or another flavor of the baked goods they offer. (The lemon coconut bread we took home last time was delicious!)

Beautiful ambiance. Indoor outdoor seating options. Friendly staff. Tim a true professional served us. Walnut coffee cake was divine. The two of us split one as they are huge pieces. Veggie omelette and avocado toast w salmon were good. Fresh coffee and biscuits are large and fluffy with a beautiful jam.

Tim, our server, was terrific - one of the best servers I've ever had! Coffee was great. My crab Benedict was delicious, as was my sister's gyro. The only thing that could have been better was my mimosa. It was served with a glass full of ice, which does not work well with sparkling wine. Tim replaced the drink for me with no fuss, so that was nice. Note to mimosa lovers: if you order one, be sure to order it with no ice. Tables were crowded a bit too closely together for the post-COVID era, so it was noisy. Parking was challenging due to the farmer's market on the day we visited. Overall, my experience could have been better, but I will visit again to try other menu items.

I ventured in and ordered for pickup while strolling Edmonds. It's a cute little restaurant but super packed during lunch rush and I am glad to have taken my meal to go. The salad was good and the fries could've been more crispy, but it was fine nonetheless. I'd like to try something different on their menu next visit just to get a better perspective, but all in all it was a good salad.

Ambiance (3.5/5) - Cute Small and cozy cafe. Giving British vibes! However, it can be loudyService (4/5) - The host that showed up our table seemed very disinterested and had a kind of attitude (Maybe she was having a bad day). However, our server was great!! Very professional and he kept checked on us the whole time (when we ordered, when we got our food and payed the bill) Food (4/5) - Highly recommend the Chorizo Omelette and buttermilk pancakes !! The Fried Chicken Sandwich was decent but the pancakes were the highlight! Coffee was fresh as well! All the ingredients used were very fresh esp gauc and salsa which came with omelette
