Newer to the area and finally made my way to check this out. The December tasting paired with the Christmas cookies were so fun! The charcuterie board was OK, but I would have liked to see that we could pick our options as there was some cheese we didn't care for. And it is a lot of money to not like something on it! The wine was good, but again is pre-set for you. Apparently it changes every month but you don't get to pick. A slight disappointment since I enjoy reds quite more than whites. Our server was nice and the atmosphere is fun. Maybe I'd come in for a glass of wine again during one of their events.Outside of this review*** Very disappointed in their wine club membership. I've been wanting to live close to a tasting room so I could join a membership. However, I don't see the perks in this membership. It's a hefty down payment and you have to get one bottle a month that you don't get it pick! I'm sure each bottle would be $30+. Again, what is the point if I really only drink red wine? They offer free tasting but ONLY the first Sunday of the month. No benefit for me here as I work some weekends. Many wine club memberships offer unlimited or a set number such as 4/month tastings so I didn't understand the perks of this.

As Yelp says of three-star reviews, this place is A-Okay. If you're local to Lake or happen to be nearby and just want to enjoy a tipple of wine in a very friendly neighborhood setting, round this up to 4 stars. We've been hearing great things and saddled up on a sunny Saturday afternoon (first one in a while!) to see what all the good chatter was about. We found a great little addition to the area. It's not a wine shop, it's a wine bar with a full menu focused mainly on snacks you can work on as you sip different wines. You pull in to a strip mall that's a funny mix of fast food, a little retail, some medical/dental offices. RC has the end unit facing back out toward the highway. One nice detail--they have an enclosed sidewalk patio with a table and a couple chairs. This will be a good space for nice weather when they add more seating. Kids and well-behaved dogs are welcome. There was actually one young lady selling Girl Scout cookies while we were there, and a handsome old hound resting in the sun. You almost feel like you're at someone's house, judging by the vibe, though the building is purely commercial construction. There is a nice mix of tables, highboys, and overstuffed chairs inside, and there's a garage door rolled up on nice days to get you out to the sidewalk/patio. The staff are super friendly, which puts together a nice ambiance. We ordered the taster flight, which is by default how we start at a new place. We noticed after we ordered that 4 of the 5 wines were from one place (Milbrandt), which seemed odd. This isn't a winery tasting room, it's a wine bar--variety is the power of the programming at a wine bar, and trying lots of stuff you haven't had is the fun of it. We got a little table tower that cradled all 5 glasses. All of the Milbrandts were incredibly subdued--even the cab. In fact, they were arranged in order of strength/flavor profile, and the cab was 3rd of 5. Overbuilt cabs aren't necessarily all that fun, but it still seems odd to see 2 other wines that overpower a cab in a starter tasting. Bottom line, the Milbrandt pours were dull enough to make the tasting seem like they were trying to get rid of underperforming sellers, rather than showcasing one winery because it deserved that spotlight. There are about 35-40 wines on the wine menu, mostly from WA. We ordered a rose that was fine and an Alexandria Nicole syrah that was a little too jammy but also fine. We got the Green Goddess salad that was, oddly, served with a super-duper-sweet balsamic vinaigrette rather than the Green Goddess dressing you'd expect. Decent salad, but kind of surprising and a little overpriced. The charcuterie board came out with dried apricots, which were a cool little surprise. Chocolate almonds, too. There were cheese cubes aplenty--cutting cheese into cubes is a weird choice for a charcuterie board. You want slices (not cubes) because you're eating the cheese on crackers or bread. Sweets on the charcuterie board and sweetened dressing both landed strangely, given that almost everyone in here is drinking wine, and all that sugar will make the next couple sips of wine taste weird. Everything from the kitchen seemed like supermarket ingredients, which is fine, but the prices are kinda high. $25 is a bit much for a charcuterie board with exactly 6 slices of cold cuts and a bunch of sweet stuff that doesn't really work with wine.I hate to nitpick at all these things, because the people are great and the vibe is great. If I'm visiting friends in the area I'm very happy to see a nice wine-centered option locally. We saw so many happy groups and couples hanging out and talking about anything that came to mind. Everyone here is having a good time. That's the real bottom line.

We used to love this place and hadn't been in awhile so when we were fortunate enough to snag tickets for a special event we jumped on it. Food was good as expected. The included prosecco drink was so-so. There was no effervescence and felt more like juice. I realized refills were from a pitcher that was likely made in advance. Flatbreads and dates are always a solid bet here and we really enjoyed stuffed mushrooms and baked brie. Buying tickets to a 4 hour event, we assumed we could stay the whole time. Instead we found ourselves leaving just a couple hours in. It didn't hit me until I got in my car and saw the clock just how early we left. Some of us were ready to order another glass of wine but instead the server wanted to cash us out. It felt really early but there was some confusion as a couple of us wanted to take care of the bill for our friend's birthday. We had planned to talk to our server before the bill arrived. We never saw the bill either which was our fault for not asking, but there was a push to get it paid right then. Our server kept repeating the amount remaining to be paid. A few of us were trying to figure out what was going on! Fortunately I had the receipt texted to me since the total seemed very high for 4 people. It turns out we were charged for our table plus another that was linked to ours, but they were supposed to be paying their own bill. What was disheartening was my friend and I had explicitly told our server we were paying for our table of 4. We were frustrated but left because A) we didn't want to make our birthday girl feel awkward and B) we didn't want to cause a scene for the other patrons trying to enjoy the event. I also saw my credit card was run almost exactly two hours after I arrived, so halfway through the event. This is not the first time we have been given a bill early without requesting it here. It felt like we were being booted out so they could fill our tables with new patrons. I get why this could make sense on a typical night of operation (e.g. a loitering situation). The fact that it was a ticketed event for a specific period of time left a bad taste. 2.5 stars rounded up. We ended up saving the night with a pivot to another local establishment!

My friend & I just went in for a glass of wine and Theresa N at the bar was amazing. She recommended her favorite white wine and it was incredible. She was very sweet and easy to talk to. She made our quick visit memorable. Can't wait to come back.

I've been wanting to come here since they opened and this morning, I was looking to take my stepmother to brunch. I saw they offered brunch so we went. The service was amazing with friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. We ordered mimosa flights, which were amazing with orange juice, grapefruit and cranberry. We also ordered quiche and avocado toast on sourdough, and both were spectacular! I definitely need to go back in the evening for a taste of their night time service!

I love the ambiance of this wine bar. Decor is smooth and definitely wine like. Not very busy for a Saturday evening. We got a wine flight, Cabernet Sauvignon, and truffle popcorn. Oh my goodness everything we got did not disappoint. I highly recommend the truffle popcorn. They have a decent wine selection too.

Review based on the their monthly food and wine pairing. Those are my favorite and always have a fun theme based on the current month. For example, November was pie pairing and December was Christmas cookies. The wine wasn't my favorite but enjoyed the location and staff is always nice.

Gorgonzola-stuffed dates with arugula and balsamic were a nice flavor combination, though I could hardly taste the prosciutto - bacon would be better. The flight of wine comes on a unique rack that holds 5 glasses in a spiral. The truffle popcorn with shaved parmesan was really, really good - couldn't stop eating it. Cozy dark ambience with high tables, nice lighting, good view of the stage.
