I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ruka with my wife and some friends visiting from the other coast, and the entire experience was fantastic! The creative cocktails immediately caught our attention--we tried a few different ones, and each was uniquely crafted and packed with flavor. Highlights: Aji Alegre, Ganshi 75 and Nikkei Espresso.The sushi was a highlight of the night. We ordered the King Tupac and Hawaiian Crunch rolls, and both were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. But it didn't stop there--the rest of the dishes were equally amazing. The Hamachi Ceviche was refreshing with just the right amount of tang, and the Sesame Noodles had a wonderful balance of textures and flavors. We also enjoyed the Bo Bo Chicken, which was cooked to perfection and had enough spice to burn part of your soul from existence. Exactly what we were looking for, and the beef dish (I wish I could remember the name!) that was tender and savory.Our waitress was incredible. She was knowledgeable about the menu, super friendly, and always attentive without being intrusive. She made sure we had everything we needed and helped guide us through our food and drink choices, which enhanced the entire experience.Overall, Ruka exceeded our expectations with its delicious food, innovative drinks, and top-notch service. It's the perfect spot for a fun night out with friends, and we can't wait to return!

Who doesn't love a great restaurant that is in or close to their Hotel? I know I do!After staying at The Godfrey Hotel (right next door) we had the pleasure of eating here which was both convenient and excellent. We could head right up to our hotel room afterward. RUKA is part of the same restaurant group that owns Yvonnes, Coquette, Mariel, and Lolita to name a few. It is a Peruvian-Asian style cuisine that offers tapas-style dishes and some larger portions as well. For a Sunday evening, they were jam-packed so we sat at their sushi bar. The menu is broken down into categories such as Chilled, Hot, Makimoto (sushi), and Wok. I liked this since some of these dishes can be overwhelming and having it outlined like this gave me some knowledge of what to expect. Their Cocktail List is amazing and offers a little bit of everything for everyone. I decided to stick to one of their Sake to pair with some of our food. I wish they offered Sake Flights but maybe down the road and after reading my review they will:)We shared a few dishes: Sesame Noodles, Chicken Fried Rice, and Fried Chicken. All were excellent and shareable which I liked. The Fried Rice was the only item that we couldn't finish. I highly recommend coming here for date night since the ambiance and vibe is super sexy. I can't wait to come back and try some of their other menu items.

One of my friend's fav spots in Boston! It's fusion carribean + japanese styled food. Super good for ppl with food allergies bc every time they came out they'd clarify that it was food allergy compatible. Idek what we got tbh. we got some rolls, some fried rice dishes, etc but it was all sooo yummy. Tapas style!!Vat Bottom Girl, Tako Meshi, Spicy Salmon Fritas were the best imo. Hamachi Ceviche also p good!Yuzu beef was good but felt pretty normal (like teriyaki chicken)Usually must get a reservation. Staff is very attentive and fast, but there was a time limit we had too. Intimate lighting, good place for convos with a group, decent separation between tables.

I came in for a birthday party and we had a large party. We were seated right away and the staff was very accommodating with our seating arrangements and was very efficient at taking our orders fast. The restaurant was decorated very nicely and dimly lit. The drink selection was also impressive. I got an espresso martini with whisky and coconut. My favorite dish was the Ruka Rainbow roll. I will definitely come again to try more sushi rolls.

The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and trendy. I loved the vibe.It was really busy when we went so service was slow but we were alright waiting a bit because we know how difficult it can be in a busy restaurant. But then came the food and it was to die for! Better than I could have imagined. Each item that came out was better than the last and I was impressed with the presentation as well. We booked through capital one which gave us an extra perk of champagne on a very nice bridge with dry ice. Made the whole experience even more fun. Would definitely recommend booking through them if you can. So many things to try we didn't even get close to getting to everything we wanted. Will definitely have to come back!

Sexy atmosphere and attentive service, but the food was a little disappointing. Mostly American-orientated (read: overly-sweet) Japanese with the occasional South American dish. Wouldn't call it 'fusion'.

Went there for a friends birthday. The drinks were honestly amazing. All of them that we got, we all loved. The service wasn't great, waited so long to get a second round of drinks and he didn't come back till the end when we were done with our food. Asked for dessert for a birthday and he came out with this extravagant display which was awesome so bonus points for that.

Really liked the aesthetic of the place itself. It's a dim and it's giving mystical. Haha We walked in and the host asked if we had a reservation which we didn't but they were still able to accommodate my 6 person party. I'm guessing by that question that there are times where if you do not have a reservation you'll either be waiting a long time. Moving on to the server it was my first time there and he was very thorough when asked about the menu and the restaurant. The food was delicious, we went there for sushi, they have a list of sushi rolls that they make but they are not your common rolls. Definitely outside the box and delicious. We overall had a good time. A nice place to have a date for sure.

If you're reading this and you ate at a two-spot on 7/16 around 6pm, admired our cheese sticks, and wished you could have shared our Big Fish sundae with us (incredibly delicious) we regret having to hop quickly and wish we could have been friends!! So maybe you're on Yelp?! Fingers crossed!The tea service was outstanding and a great value, sesame noodles cool and crunchy, ambiance lovely and vibrant, rainbow roll delicious, especially the shisho leaf and Asian pear, and the hamachi ceviche was seriously the best I've ever had. The coconut rice was flawless!

Ruka offers a vibrant atmosphere with exceptional food and unique flavors. The presentation was stunning, and the service was outstanding--our waiter was attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Boston!
