Rucci Bangladeshi Cuisine is an absolute gem in Chamblee! We stopped by for dinner and were blown away by the flavors and hospitality. We started with the Garlic Naan, which was perfectly soft, buttery, and packed with garlic goodness--an excellent complement to everything we ordered. The Chicken 65 was a standout, with just the right amount of spice and crispness. It was bursting with flavor and seasoned to perfection! For our main, we tried the Mixed Tandoori, and it did not disappoint. The meat was tender and had that perfect smoky tandoor taste. You could tell the spices were freshly ground, making every bite an explosion of flavors. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. We can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu. If you're looking for authentic Bangladeshi food in the area, this is the place to be!And the ultimate bonus is BYOB with no corkage fee!Highly recommend!

With all of the good reviews of this establishment we were looking forward to giving it a try. Unfortunately, the dishes we tried didn't live up to the hype. We ordered the Chicken Vindaloo, Shaak Ponir, and Bullet Naan. We've never had Bullet Naan before, and the description on the menu read "with chopped green chili". We can appreciate a little heat so we figured we'd give it a try. What a mistake! The naan is completely filled with the hottest uncooked green chili we couldn't take more than a few bites. I wish our sever would've given us fair warning because we ended up wasting it. Unnecessarily spicy is pretty much how I would sum up the other two dishes we had as well. I can understand the Vindaloo having some spice, but the Shaak Ponir should not have been spicy at all. The food was lacking the depth of flavor we're accustomed to with Indian/Bangladeshi food. Our server was pleasant for most of the service until she asked if we needed a to go container and we said no. She seemed to be offended and treated us differently after that. She went from being attentive to making us wait forever for the check, then waiting forever for her to pick it up.

It's interesting. I can see how this place can have a very polarizing opinion on it. It's cute , small and homely. The servers are super nice and friendly. They guide you through the menu elaborately if you ask for it. Parking is limited although they have their own deck. We went for dinner on an impromptu week night and no reservations were required for a table for two. However the tables are limited so larger parties may need to book in advance. As for the food, being South Asian and from West Bengal, I expected the quality to be top notch and higher. Although it didn't disappoint in some dishes , the fish which is a staple in bengal, was not up to the mark. So, I got the pomfret grilled and lamb kabab for starters. The lamb was over cooked and over flavored in my opinion. The fish lacked flavors and was too fishy . I don't know maybe it was what I got. My husband really enjoyed his butter chicken tikka masala and it was actually good. I might give it another shot.

It is not a big place but big enough for our party of five, including two young children. The odors emanating from the kitchen were fabulous. We were seated immediately and well taken care of by the staff. The children got high chairs and their drinks came in cups with covers and straws. The adults ordered a variety of dishes including Pur (a bread that was like a balloon filled with air until it deflated when cut), naan, shingaara (like samosas), daal, and aloo. I ordered a Bangladeshi fish special called Ilish shorshay which was some slices of fish (with bones) in a mild tomato sauce. It was difficult to separate the bones hidden inside that sauce but it was delicious. We also had a large dish of fragrant rice and some thin seed crackers with sauce came to the table before we ordered. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They took excellent care of us.

Great option for no frills, great value Bangladeshi and Indian cuisine! Really great and attentive service, great portions (get a naan, either garlic or regular!!) The chicken tikka masala was nice and buttery with a bit of spice, paired well with rice and naan.

We especially enjoyed the chicken tondoori! The combination of crispy skin, paired with the sweetness of grilled onions and the charcoal flavor from being oven-fired made for one memorable culinary experience. I also highly recommend the garlic naan - which was flaky, savory, and buttery - perfect in every way.

Great local gem! Haven't ever tried Bangladeshi food before and are so happy we gave RUCHI a try! For starters, parking is free and the parking lot is an appropriate size (although somewhat utilized by the pizza place next door). Additionally, RUCHI is BYOB, which is awesome. Our server was lovely, very friendly, gave great recommendations, and was very attentive. We got 2 apps -- the Chicken 65 and the chili ponir. Both very good. For entrees, we got the lamb boti kabab and the chicken signature curry. Every dish was incredibly flavorful and well done. The spice level is very approachable even for the semi-spice averse. For us, I think we'll ask for a slightly higher spice level all around next time. For our "long wait" (didn't feel long, very normal wait time for food), our waitress brought us free rice pudding for dessert. Prices were great with large portion sizes; we had plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Space wasn't crowded but had a good vibe, seemed like a lot of regulars. We'll definitely be back!

We have recently enjoyed a couple of meals at Ruchi and we have absolutely loved the food. We have gone on recommendations of the staff and have not been disappointed by anything that we have tried. The service is friendly, helpful, and attentive and all our many questions were helpfully answered. The interior is small, seating maybe 40 people, but it's comfortable and not crowded. From the outside it looks nothing special, but it's definitely worth the trip inside.

I am super late for this review as I've eaten here a few times now, but honestly wow. Everything about this gem of a spot is spot on: customer service 10/10, food 12/10. So far, I've tasted their lamb boti kabob (my favorite appetizer!!), salmon tandoori, both lamb/shrimp biryanis, lamb garlic chili morich, and shobjir korma... (whew!)All dishes outstanding, and still so many I want to try! It's hard finding consistent eats in Atlanta. You know how it goes, today it's good, tomorrow, not so much. Not Ruchi!!! Thank you to the kind staff for providing stellar service and even better food every time! The restaurant is small, but the flavors are humongous! A must try if you are in Chamblee/Brookhaven area!
