The wait is pretty much the same as for any brunch spot in the Nashville area. We were seated outside (dogs allowed) and they had live music. She was really good! I think they might be under staffed as it wasn't as prompt but they were attentive. Had the breakfast tacos with Shrimp with a side of breakfast potatoes. The tacos were good, but I think the potatoes were a bit overcooked. I think the portion of potatoes was a bit small.Parked at a parking garage across the street from the Belcourt Theater. Street parking available as well.Overall it was good and will go back to try a different dish.

A nice breakfast/brunch spot with a variety of options. I got their biscuits and gravy, and it was delicious. The gravy had bits of meat in it, and the biscuits were soft and fluffy. Highly recommend!

I've been here twice--first time I had the shrimp and grits, second time the bennies. Both tasted great, and the service was excellent.

I was invited for brunch and was excited. The best thing was the no wait time. The Bloody Mary was good but the food was just okay. The pancakes were dry and the French toast felt more like croutons then French toast. We liked the beignets buy they were in small pieces you don't get the fluffy soft texture you would expect. The trifecta was a good sample to try if you've never been there but only 1 out of 3 were impressive in taste. As for the mimosa flight- it was ok in flavor but for the price you could go somewhere else for a bottomless version. It was worth the try based on recommendation but it's not a "I have to come back" place.

The ambiance and service at Ruby Sunshine gave full fledged brunch! Location is great for a post meal stroll or to find something different to eat... Pictured is the Gulf shrimp omelette. The shrimp was so fresh it retained its original gulf flavor. No complement of seasoning whatsoever, so I was left to my own devices. We also got the basic two pancakes, eggs, and bacon. I mean it was exactly what it sounds like.

So we are not much of breakfast folks but our Airbnb was right across the street and we need coffee in the morning. My travel buddy likes Bloody Mary's. So we walked right in early on a Wed morning before our grand adventures in Nashville started. We loved it so much we went back every day of our 4 day trip. The first day I was actually hungry so got a small plate of a la carte items like eggs and toast. Yummy! I never think eggs are yummy they are just eggs to me. However, man they were so good. My guess is they cook them in real butter which a lot of places no longer do. Their menu looks pretty amazing with a wide selection of delightful looking eats. Banana foster pancakes, bread pudding pancakes wow! That sounds so delish. We are positive you will find a meal everyone in your group will love. The Vanilla spiced hot latte I got was so good that I went back the next day to get one to go. So do keep in mind there is a wide difference in weekday versus weekend. Our first day was not busy but when we went on our last day ( a Saturday) to sit at the bar and have drinks to kill some time before heading out to the airport it was fully packed. ( and it was raining too) If we wanted a table there was a 30 minute wait. Not sure if they take reservations but explore that option if that is available. We ended up sitting at the bar which is a first come first serve type of deal but even that was packed. People were just leaving but every seat was taken at the bar. I stood next to my friend until more people left. That tells me it is a well loved place for sure. Lots of brunchers there. The service here is pretty amazing thus why I am giving a rare 5 stars to a breakfast place. We just loved Elizabeth. ( thee who goes by Catherine-she will get the joke) She was so great, funny, efficient, smart, and lovely. I guess that is the bonus of going on a weekday too. The servers are not in the weeds and can chat a little more and make you feel spoiled. Not that we got bad service on Saturday though, you know what I mean. Ha! The last day we also ran into a lovely woman who was just delightful. Sadly, I forgot her name, maybe Margaret or Melissa? It is maybe an M starting name? lol She is the retired woman who used to live in Massachusettes. Loved her too. Hope she gets a kudos from her boss too. The cafe has a cute Wizard of Oz shoe kind of decor and brunch themed word walls. They just need a yellow brick pathway out leading to the outside patio and out. And yes, I made the suggestion. The funny shirts on the waitstaff made us Giggle. "Mimosa made me do it" and a holiday themed brunch snide one. I am sure there were a lot more we just did not notice. So all in all this place made our trip memorable. We thank Ruby Sunshine for that experience and the kindness and outgoing welcomeness that greeted us in Nashville. EGGscellent.

I really love this place for brunch. I always sit at the bar and enjoy the overall ambiance. The food is fantastic! I can't decide on my favorite dish. I have loved everything that I've tried here. The sweet heat chicken and French toast bites are excellent. I can't decide which one of the Benedict's is best but I love the trio!! The breakfast sandwich is top-notch and delicious and the tacos with chorizo are definitely worth ordering again! I look forward to coming back!

if you love breakfast and brunch, you will not be disappointed! The food here is great, featuring eclectic and traditional breakfast and brunch items. The eggs are always done exactly as I order them, which is super important for a breakfast establishment. The brunch cocktails are delicious and you MUST try the perfectly made Bloody Mary! Love the brunch themed decor, including the bacon and egg wallpaper in the women's bathroom. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. We have eaten at the restaurant a few times and every dish on the menu has been amazing so far. If you prefer to sit at the breakfast bar there is ample seating, plus an outside patio if you prefer the outdoors. They typically open at 7 AM and close about 2PM. This location is in the Hillsboro Belmont neighborhood and parking is in short supply during holidays, weekends, and busier summer days. There is a paid parking lot behind the building of the restaurant. We just learned there is a location in Knoxville and will definitely be trying that one next.

The first time I saw Ruby Sunshine it was packed and there was a line. So when my friend group chose Ruby as our weekend breakfast spot, I expected a wait. Somehow we lucked out by it not being crowded and got a table immediately. Even though there wasn't an overwhelming crowd, the service was average. It took a long time to get food. The grits weren't as thick as I prefer and the fish tasted like the grease needed to be changed. My friends had shrimp and grits, which was more runny than preferred. I think we'd give the restaurant another try and select other dishes.
