Is this heaven? No....its RPM Steak! Without a doubt one of the best steak places I've ever been to. Arguably the best in Chicago. The low-lit modern decor was perfect for upscale dining. The quality of their meats is impressive. Our waiter, Scott, had a natural friendliness and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He and his assistants were on-point with our table's needs; water glasses were always filled, cocktails were refilled promptly, and an empty plate or glass didn't last long on the table. To start, get the Thick Cut Bacon. This pork belly has a burst of flavor you don't want to miss. A perfect way to start your dining journey.Scott sold us on the Westholme Strip, assuring us it was better than a filet mignon. Oh boy was he right! Cooked to a perfect medium, tender to cut, wonderful flavor with every bite. A perfect cut of meat to share. We also treated ourselves to several ounces of the Namiki Wagyu. Soft, tender, buttery texture with a perfect seasoning to complement the meat, not overtake it. Truly an amazing cut of meat. Like a fine wine, it's best appreciated in small amounts. The peppercorn and garlic-rosemary butter sauces were a nice addition, but almost not necessary, given how well-seasoned the cuts were. We also got sides: Parmesan spinach, with which we made a cream and Millionaire Potato. My favorite was the Japanese Sweet Potatoes. Sweet, sticky, with just a bit of spicy. Yum!Save room for dessert! The Baked Alaska is flambéed table-side. An impressive pyrotechnic display, extinguished by a drizzle of warm chocolate sauce. This display is only surpassed by a combination of warm and cold spoonfuls of sweet dessert goodness. This is absolutely a must-get dessert!! Great for special occasions. We also got the carrot cake; moist and dense, complimented nicely by the cream cheese icing. The cake itself is not filling, but the sheer size of the slice is. Let's not forget the giant ball of cotton candy (the size of your head) everyone at the table can pick at.It may sound like this place is way too expensive for most, but only if you go for the Uber special cuts of meat. The menu does have more relatively reasonably priced cuts. Overall, a great steak place for fine dining. I'd be there every week if I could.

I recently visited RPM Steakhouse for happy hour and had a great experience overall. We ordered 2 cabernet sauvignons, 2 espresso martinis, truffle fries, steak frites, and a lobster roll. The steak frites were cooked perfectly to our liking (medium rare), and the lobster roll, though small, was packed with flavor. However, a word of caution: happy hour goes by quickly. We didn't realize that the fries and our last 2 drinks weren't at happy hour prices. Despite this minor hiccup, the quality of the food and drinks was excellent, and I would definitely go back!

Can't go wrong with a night out at RPM Steak! I've been here a few times now and everything from cocktails to steaks and dessert has been really well executed. The place is dimly lit and definitely high end romantic vibes. Good happy hour offerings, if you're sitting at the bar. We came for a birthday celebration and were seated at the nice corner booth. Steaks, truffle fries, Mac and cheese all came out perfectly. For birthday surprise they brought out a champagne toast and cotton candy. Such a nice touch!

Wow, a 5/5 experience for me. I came here for a prefix dinner, with coworkers, and got to try quite a bit of the menu. We sat in the bar area, and still had a lot of space. The restaurant is a great place for a large group, and also small parties as well. My favorite items on the menu were the bread rolls, hamachi crudo, the wedge salad, the Ribeye steak and the 14 K chocolate cake and the strawberry cheesecake. I pretty much enjoyed every single thing on the item, but those were the standouts for me. Everything was brought out warm or fresh, and I was blown away with the quality of it all. There's not too much else for me to say because everything was amazing from the service, ambiance, and food. I also appreciated they had a seasonal mocktail which I was happy to try. Since this was a work event, I didn't have to pay the bill but I would 100% return back on my own dime.

Decided to stop in for the first time to complete a casual girls' night out and sat at the bar. From the moment we entered, the upscale, luxurious ambiance was evident! We were a little more casual than we would have been on a planned visit, but felt very welcomed. The space is very sophisticated and only enhances the dining experience. The bartender recommended several side dishes, which were nothing short of extraordinary. The standout was undoubtedly the brussell sprouts. They were perfectly spiced and crunchy--truly exceptional. I find myself still dreaming of this dish, which I would rate 100/10. They paired beautifully with the recommended mashed potatoes, which were velvety smooth. We opted to have them without the blue cheese crumble, and they were still incredibly delicious. These side dishes alone are worth a return visit.Overall, the quality of the food, service, and ambiance were impeccably matched.

The food was amazing. I can't recommend the happy hour enough. $10 dollar cocktails and there was seating at the bar for those without reservations. Happy hour is 4-5:30p. Steak frites was outstanding and highly recommend!

I loved this place and I'll be returning here everytime I'm in Chicago! My husband and I are avid steak eaters so we decided to check this place out!We ordered the wagyu tataki for an appetizer. It was delicious. The truffle on top really made it extra special. We also ordered the cowboy steak, truffle fries, and bleu cheese mashed potatoes. Delicious! I haven't had a good steak like this in a restaurant! For desert, we ordered the baked Alaska. Since we were celebrating our honeymoon (yes I know it says happy birthday lol), our waiter also brought us cotton candy. They flambé the baked Alaska at the table, so that was really cool! The desserts were also very delicious.Waiters are kind, service is fast. Your water is always topped off! The place is dark, but not too dark. The waiters don't make you feel rushed and the experience was overall a great one.I definitely recommend this place. Check it out!

Steak me to heaven! What isn't wonderful about RPM? Let's talk ambiance: sexy, cozy, intimate, and a vibe.Service is impeccable. Shout out to our personal server, Sam. She really knows her stuff. The star of the show is the food. For starters we had the thick cut bacon. Be prepared to melt into the ecstasy of five star dining. It is far beyond what you would expect. Tender. Juicy. Succulent. Loved it. For the entree, I had the bison filet and my bestie had the Duke ribeye. Stellar! They were tender, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor and juicy. We had the Hasselbeck potatoes and spicy broccolini as sides. Can you say seduction of the tongue? Now, it's important to know that here sides are meant for sharing. If you haven't tried black truffle butter on your steak, make it a priority here. The level of elegance it adds to the flavor is astounding. It's like a sweet melody dancing on your tastebuds. The wine selection is wonderful as well. This is a great date night, girls' night or celebration spot. I look forward to the next time I can partake in luxury dining in this swank establishment.

I was intown for the weekend and a buddy and I got a reservation in one of the bar booths for a late Friday night dinner. The short version: the food is great, the service was great and the vibe/music/decor was AWESOME. I love that there is upbeat music playing and the bar area is dimly lit, a very fun pre night out atmosphere. The steak was fantastic and the sides were great too. I wish i had remembered his name but our server was kind, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful I would definitely recommend, one of my favorite steakhouses

I came here last night for a work dinner. We ordered a variety of dishes:-Grilled octopus (tough and very dry. Very sad because I usually enjoy this type of dish a lot. It needs a sauce on top.)-Mini seafood tower (no explanation needed, although they could have told us what the sauces were.)-Wagyu tataki (delicious)-Scallop (I didn't realize it was one single scallop. But it was delicious). -Kale salad and wedge salad (a bit too much dressing for me personally)-Cowboy (lovely sear and strong beef taste. Great recommendation by the waitress).-Various sides of mashes potatoes, broccolini (borderline bland until you eat the last piece), mushrooms, brussel sprouts-Ice cream (delicious)Overall, a great meal. I wish the music was a bit softer and lighting a bit brighter but overall the experience was great.
