If I could eat here every single night I would...but it's quite literally impossible since I live in Los Angeles, Ca. I was visiting Chicago on a work trip and got a few suggestions to give this place a try. I had compiled a list of restaurants (seafood, steakhouses, etc) that I wanted to try while I was in town and to also enjoy the River views. The service was impeccable, Samantha and Ronan took great care of us for the whole night. Ronan was extremely knowledgeable of all the dishes they had on the menu, firing off suggestions and that just made me want EVERYTHING! We started with a glass of Prosecco and then some oysters. We got half a dozen and we mixed them (3 Prestige and 3 Pearl oysters ). I really couldn't choose which one I liked better. I'm an oyster girlie so I love them all. We also had the Hawaii ceviche that was so light and refreshing. Let's talk about the ginormous crab cake. Hats off to this restaurant because I'm so tired of ordering crab cakes and it's mostly breading and very little crab. A standout for sure! I got the sea urchin spaghetti and my only gripe is I it wasn't big enough . Not that it was a small size I am just greedy and because I loved it so much, I wanted another helping. My bf got the mushrooms, whipped potatoes and the Miso Black Cod. Whew! Incredible. I especially loved how harmonious all of the dishes were. It takes a lot of skill to craft a great menu. Ronan was exceptional at taking us on a journey with our meal so it almost felt like a private dining experience if that makes any kind of sense.I love Chicago. It was my very first time and I'm so grateful to have had an amazing food experience.Until we meet again :) cuz we will!

Me, my girlfriend and my family recently came here for a private after party for Common after his show with the Grant Park Orchestra . We had a great time, the food was phenomenal and the dj was jamming. Access to the Terrance was great and the view of the river and river walk was just spectacular. I would also like to shout out the staff as they all were awesome. The bartender made delicious drinks, the servers were friendly and helpful. This will be a night to remember.

Crabcake appetizer tasted really good - did not need the heaping of horseradish sauce on top of it AND on the side. Was it worth ~$34...no it wasn't. Cheesy bread service you can skip - tasted like it was sitting out for a while with room temp melted cheese on top. The entrees were a good portion size. I had the fish and chips which was solid, crispy fries with it. Loved the mashed potato side. My family got the snapper tempura, tacos, and corn, which they said were good. I didn't find the snapper that amazing in flavor. Service could have been better. Our waitress was not helpful in advising us on which oysters to pick. Then didn't explain what the sides were that came with it (it had some yuzu shaved ice? Still don't know what that was for). At times, it was a bit slow in collecting orders. Then they brought my mom a bday candle when we didn't have everyone at the table...However, it was nice they replaced my mom's wine after a few bugs got into it. For ambiance, we sat on the patio and this is a great spot to be on the river. The front tables have the best view tho. Inside was crazy frenetic and loud. Seemed like a big happy hour post work spot. I'm glad we were outside bc my parents even had a hard time hearing each other over the music outside. Lastly, we had to wait ~18 min for our patio table reservation which would not have been an issue BUT I'm 9 months pregnant and they had no bench or chair in the waiting area for me to sit on and no one at the front desk offered one. I leaned against the wall. Kind of expect more guest service at a nice rated place like this.Overall if you are going here it is for the view and maybe just the main entrees.

About a 2-2.5: RPM Seafood is located in the River North area, and we came here to enjoy some beverages and share some apps.We ordered:+the Grand Seafood Tower - 2 tiers with prawns, Maine lobster, Alaskan king crab legs, and oysters; the lobster and the crab came de-shelled for easier consumption+Yuzu-Cured Salmon - with Japanese chili and creme fraiche; comes with 5 pieces+Hand-Cut Hamachi - with yuzu ponzu and crispy garlic+Grilled Spinach Octopus - with choirzo vinaigrette and toasted hazelnuts; 2 tentacles came in this dish; I opted out due to it having chorizo+Cheese-Baked Focaccia - these come with a side of house-cured olives; the bread is sliced in rectangular pieces+Everything Parker House - served with cultured butter; note that these are pull-apart and doesn't come separatedI tried both the Tropical Spritz (prepared with a non-alcoholic aperitivo, passion fruit, kalamansi, and soda) and the Sparkling Riesling.Service is more on the slower end, and we had to wait a while to get some of our plates, refills, and the check.Making a reservation is recommended, as this place does get busy.+stick with the apps+slow service+reservations recommended

I love love love RPM seafood! The ambience is always a vibe . I was initially seated on the balcony but this particular day it was soooo hot out. It was 90 degrees and soooo uncomfortable. So I moved inside. I needed a refreshing drink so I opted for an Aperol Spritz, it was just what I needed. I did order the salmon and mashed potatoes and my god it was to die for! Seasoned to perfection and so flavorful. I'll be back soon!

Really enjoyed patio dining on the beautiful summer evening in Chicago. We ordered 3 appetizers, an entree and wine (lots of wine :)). Everything was perfect! The view was amazing and so was service. I'd definitely come back. Check out my food photos!

After strolling along the Riverwalk, we were looking for a place to have fries. The wait was too long and crowded and saw RPM across the river so we decided to have an early dinner. The interior was very beautiful with great views. We ordered crab cake and fish tacos. The tacos had battered deep fried fish and they served only one crab cake which was not fully fried but seared lightly giving it a soft and moist texture. Of course I paired it with an order of delicious fries. Dinner was satisfying and the service excellent.

Always amazing food but I will say for the first time ever (and I eat here often), the service was incredible slow and they were not busy. Our resy was at 5pm and the restaurant didn't get busy until 6:45-7. The waiter dragged it out forever and we had to ask multiple times for wine list, to order drinks and to order entrees.
