Royce Chocolates is located in Southcenter Mall right next door to Starbucks, so if you're not looking for it, it could be easily missed. We arrived for our reservation and we were immediately greeted by staff and given the history of the chocolates. The employee then brought out our samples on a cold marble like slab and explained each one to us prior to sampling. My husband is not a matcha fan by any means but he loved the matcha nama chocolate and it was his favorite from the three (it was mine too but I love matcha). The texture of the chocolates are creamy and they melt in your mouth. They're full of flavor and rich in taste. My second favorite was the Ghana bitter, as I'm a fan of dark chocolate versus milk. However, the au lait was great too.If anyone remembers the ice cube chocolates in the blue and silver foil wrapper, the texture is very similar to these. Definitely recommend and worth the price!

I always went to shop at Southcenter mall but never been here so thanks to a yelp event I got to try this place out. Stopped by for their chocolate tasting event and purchased 2 packs of my favorite royce chocolate - Ghana Bitters. For the tasting I tried the Matcha chocolate (subtle delicious matcha flavor), Au Lait ( creamy smooth silky milk chocolate) & Ghana bitters (rich silky non-bitter dark chocolate). While I loved all of these the Ghana bitters by far were the most delicious of the lot. Sometimes dark chocolate can be bitter but this was was deliciously tasty. I can almost eat at least half their box in one sitting and I would not even complain.Since the event I have stopped by Royce chocolates multiple times and these can be cute tasty gifts too. I wish their chocolates were a little more fancy in terms of design but the taste compensates for it all so I am not complaining. Keep these chocolates refrigerated but do thaw them for 10-15 mins at room temperature before eating these delicious goodies. I will certainly be back for more.

I'vebern to the Southcenter, Bellevue, and International District location. All the chocolates are amazing. All the people working there are over the top friendly. But most of all I'm addicted to the chocolate covered potato chips!!! God help me!!! Hahaha soooo goood!!!

I love ROYCE chocolate and have been to several locations, and they're all pretty easy to navigate because everything's mostly in the same place. Store layout is generally very uniform. Of course, I beelined straight for the nama chocolate, and snatched the last box of chestnut flavored nama chocolate of the day (holiday flavors tend to sell out fast). It's $18 of heart-melting ecstasy. They're very gift-able for friends and family, so I also took home good old fashioned strawberry-champagne and au lait chocolates.I wish they would make nama chocolate flavor with the maple nutty chocolate used on the (highly addictive) maple nutty potato chips. If there is or has been one, I've never seen it. While the chestnut flavor reminds me of it a bit, it's not the same. If you're a chocolate fan, ROYCE is a must-stop shop!

Dark chocolate is lovely, not too bitter. Au lait is the best seller with good reason. Matcha is light and delicious. Best served cold.

I definitely recommend stopping but here, if you're in the mall! I actually didn't know this was Hokkaido originated chocolate before I tried my first milk chocolate piece from a friend a couple weeks ago and I was blown away! It definitely has that Japanese light consistency and creaminess I have had in takoyaki before or Japanese soft serve but so refreshing to find in chocolate! The trick is it has to be refrigerated and served cold so keep in mind! When you purchase the chocolate they give you a cute ice gel pack and a silver bag to store it in. Tops 3-4 hours you can stay out before it needs to be popped in fridge again! The packaging for this is so cute and put in such a pretty bag! Store manager was really kind when showing us all the chocolate and there was a small taster to try! Note you can't try most flavors except the one special chocolate they have for sample so may have to deduce which one might be yummy! I recommend as a first timer though the milk chocolate classic one all around is an amazing first pick! Note also their chocolates do have have some alcohol in it which you can't taste at all really (and I'm semi allergic to alcohol) but gives a unique taste as well!

I like this Japanese chocolate. The ones that have to be refrigerated have the most flavor and are really creamy. The individually wrapped chocolates in the boxes with varying cocoa levels are a great way to have a chocolate after a meal.

Have you ever had this chocolate? It's pricey but really good. This is a kiosk in the mall and I was in and out. We were all social distanced and masked up. Since I knew what I was after, the whole event was less than 2 minutes.

The store is nice, small and Qwaint, and very appealing the way the chocolate is presented. On top of how delicious and silky the chocolate is the experience is made a lot better by the royce employee. She was a small Asian lady with glasses, but she was super Duper, sweet and helpful explaining all the different types of chocolate recommendations specials They had everything. She even offered to hold a chocolate until we were finished shopping just to make sure it's at the perfect temperature. Highly recommend for the chocolate and highly highly recommend the customer service.

How can you NOT walk out with chocolate. Really really surprised by how flavorful the different chocolates were. Oddly enough, it wasn't one of those "this taste great. It's so rich I can only have 1-3 pieces". No, you can dust off a whole bar easy. Some of these chocolate pieces almost begged me to add peanut butter to it. But I was in a public spot and people don't need to see that. The staff there was super friendly. Very knowledgeable on all the different types of chocolate and the flavors associated with it. I was so impressed, I balked out with 4 different flavors. Keep in mind, they require refrigeration. The box they put it in when you buy has a mini cold pack in it to keep the chocolate cold for about 4 hours. No complaints here. One suggestion. This should be a standalone shop. It's located inside of the mall. It's ok but if you come here and try the chocolate and the experience.....you will see the potential this place has. Love it. Next time I go shopping, I'm stopping by.
