Royal Star Buffet

I miss when it used to be a country buffet called royal fork. Those were the good days. I was so excited to try the Chinese food version but I was disappointed. So tasteless! I do rolling 36-72hr fasts and OMAD for weight loss and when I came here to break my fast my hopes were ruined by tastelessness.

I'm currently on an IV to replenish fluids due to the chronic diarrhea I'm dealing with after eating here. I've never had medium rare chicken before, I guess it's a delicacy. Service and ambiance was to be expected for a buffet - people clearing your plates as herds of cattle empty the buffet line continuously. Doctor says I will have to wear a diaper for the rest of my life after eating here.

This place is pretty good, they have a decent selection with tons of American food. The price is great for what you get, the staff is very friendly and they have a private parking lot... They are closed on Tuesday, so keep that in mind.... The reason for the three stars is that the furniture is a bit dated, and worn out, and it is not the "Cleanest " of places... It is not 5 star dining, but it definitely gets the job done

So I come here when I'm in Mt Vernon I love it. The food looks and taste fresh. I know these days are tough. They are tough for everyone. If you choose to support this restaurant please send review...

No pictures to share. Staff was lovely. Food was very disgusting for the most part. Not up to temp. Mushy crab, crayfish, shrimp. They few bites I took were awful.

Decent buffet! Think it was about $16.Lots and lots of choices, i picked mainly the seafood, but theres alot more to choose from. There was sushi... but it didnt look great, as they make only so much , seems as needed. What was out, the rice was a bit hard when i touched w tongs, so i hard passed. Now we know theres a place to stop on way home from being out north if we need a dinner! Check it out!

Went in on a Thursday night place was busy, and had to wait for multiple dishes and the quality wasn't as good as I had experienced the previous visits. The dessert and sushi stations were disorganized and cluttered. Had to dodge little one left and right not the restaurant's fault more people not paying attention to their kids. Also had an older gentleman complaining that the staff laughed at him when he complained about under cooked pork.

DON't pay any attention to the negative post from a few months ago. My wife and I went to Royal Star today (8/10/2023) and not only did everything I had looked and tasted good. Of course at a buffet you can't try everything but all that I didn't try also looked good. I had mussels, honey shrimp, roast beef, fried fish as well as a few salads and cheesecake for dessert. Whether you've been there before or not Please give this place a chance. The food is great. The employees are attentive and the family that runs the place make sure things are as you expect.

They are 100x better than this shitshow.

We drive from Marysville to this resturant. The food choices are always good although could be hotter sometimes. Service always good and cleaner than most. We will always choose this buffet over the ones closer to home.
