This was my first visit to Rosebud, a place my friends have recommended multiple times. With family visiting from out of town, I suggested this spot for its rooftop and proximity to Millennium Park, as we were already at the Cloud Gate. We went there for a July 4th brunch and, to my surprise, walked in and got a table for our party of eight. They have three levels, but it seems like only the third level was open and functional, likely due to construction on the lower levels. I had heard a lot about their pasta, so I decided to order the cavatelli alla vodka, and I absolutely loved it--so flavorful! For the kids, we ordered penne pasta with white sauce, and they accommodated our request. We also ordered chilaquiles, steak salad, salad with shrimp, and a couple of glasses of champagne. The service was pretty quick, and we ordered from the brunch menu.I'm slashing one star because one of the drinks was served in a dirty glass, though the server quickly changed the champagne glass when we raised the issue. Additionally, there was a slight mix-up with our salad order; we received chicken instead of shrimp, but the order was fixed promptly.Overall, it's a decent place for brunch.

This place is right next to my job. I finally got a chance to come visit. It was a Saturday - early evening and we were seated immediately. Unfortunately, the rooftop/Terrence area was booked for a private party. I saw the rigatoni on someone's plate as soon as I walked in and I had to try it. I added a 7oz lobster since the pasta doesn't come with any proteins. The lobsters are at market value. My Godfather Manhattan drink was perfectly made. I wasn't a fan of the Martini glass, but hey... not a big deal when it's so good. Service was excellent and we were allowed to use an online coupon for $35 off. I'm only giving 4 stars bc the table and chairs that we sat at were old and rickety. But the food was WORTH IT! I'll be back!

5 stars for Rosebud on Randolph.Rosebud is a great Italian restaurant and has a huge bar in the downstairs area as well. I'd recommend a dinner or lunch in the upstairs dining area, great views and massive space. We tried the fried calamari , bruschetta and a shrimp appetizer that I forgot the name of - all delicious! For the entree - I had the cheese ravioli which was amazing - it's made with fresh basil as well. Good service and they brought out all of our food quickly, overall I would recommend if you want a nice Italian meal in the Loop.

The best thing about this place was the garlic knots. Must try if you go there! But if you're hungry I would recommend another place. This was definitely a nice place to grab a drink and enjoy the view. The view of millennium park was beautiful. However, I wouldn't be back to try the food or deal with the slow service.

Rosebud has a few locations throughout Chicago. They are synonymous with good Italian food. When I saw that a Rosebud opened a new location since my last trip, right on Randolph/Michigan, next to Millennium Park, I knew my group had to go. No surprise, the food was flavorful and tasty, they tend to do Italian right. I had the Gnocchi alla Vodka which was perfectly prepared. Don't be surprised, the portion sizes are ALWAYS bigger than expected. I like Rosebud, this location is open with good lighting. We sat on the second floor which afforded a great view of Millennium Park.

Beautiful place, food is average, nothing out of this world but still good. Service is a bit slow, however the waitress was nice. You get great views of the city if you sit outside!

We made a reservation here before a show at the Chicago Theater. It was close enough where we could walk to the theater but far enough where we were able to get a last minute reservation. Service and ambience were standard. The restaurant overlooks Millennium park but we were sat further in the back. We were sitting between two other tables but not so close that it felt crowded. The food and drinks were good but I've had better Italian in the city. I ordered the Tortellini Carbonara and it was a great portion size and the flavors were yummy but I took a star off because the pasta seemed a little overcooked. The tortellini would sometimes fall apart when I picked it up with my fork. Otherwise everything was nice!

Huge portions, tasty food, great service. I had the inKind promotion from the restaurant website so ordered appetizer, soup, entree, and dessert to make the minimum spend. Ended up with enough food for two and leftovers to reheat at the hotel. Loved the fried calamari, the sauce for the pork wasn't for me but the pork chops were good with just salt and pepper. Minestrone soup was also plentiful and nice on a cold night. What's not to like about gelato? Definitely recommend coming with other people and ordering family style at one entree for every two people.

Came here for HH and was highly disappointed. Upon entering, I was informed that I could only participate in HH if I sat at the bar; they wanted to preserve regular seating for patrons not participating in HH. Please note, that it was incredibly empty for a Monday night. Wiggle room and all. If you have been to this establishment, you know how large it is.I ordered the fish tacos as a quick bite while I chatted with my friends. We were offered water but mine never came. At first, there was so much service and checking in before receiving our food. Once the food arrived, folks "busied" themselves - I am not sure with what as I mentioned above the crowd was light/ smooth. I felt I did not receive the best service since I was a regular paying customer eating off the regular menu and that is not cool since you offer a kind of extensive HH menu for people to try out. I am inclined to return to another location and try their regular dishes to see if it is any better.
