I love this place so much! Every experience I have here is so spectacular. Everyone is attentive, kind, efficient, and helpful. It's always just such a great vibe. And sitting at the chef's counter is ~chef's kiss~.Food wise, I've never had anything I don't like. Everything is so so good. Is that hyperbole? Maybe, but I've seriously never left not satisfied. My absolute favorite dishes are the tuna crudo, beef cheek gnocchi, octopus, and rigatoni a la Norma. Drinks, their spritzes always hit. Can't go wrong with anyone them. But any of their cocktails are also so refreshing. If I could eat here every day, I'd live here.

Was so excited to try Rose Mary since I'm a huge fan of Top Chef and Chef Joe Flamm. However, was sadly disappointed with almost all the dishes - flavours simply did not hit the mark. The squid ink risotto was way over-salted (to the point of being bitter) and we both took one bite and had to have them take it back. The service staff were incredible but I really can't give the restaurant a 5 star rating. Ambience/decor was nice - really like the open kitchen concept, it was great sitting at the bar!

We really wanted to love this place. My wife was excited to try it, given the many good reviews. I hate to say it, but I was really disappointed. Every dish is literally covered in sauce. The beautiful grilled clams, covered in green sauce. The fresh snap peas, drowning in green sauce. We were told the asparagus risotto is "light." It is not. When we told the server it's really not light, he simply said it's lighter than the pasta. Very disappointing. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I don't enjoy big heavy dishes that leave you feeling bloated after. Something to consider. I'm also always disappointed to hear a nice restaurant's "signature cocktails" are batched. Meaning premade. There is no way to control the individual quality of such a cocktail. All in all, quite a disappointment.

Another excellent meal at one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago! We tried two of the summer specials, the prosciutto & melon and the corn pasta. Both were exceptional, highly recommend you get these while you can. Only dish that I didn't love was the stracciatella with peaches because it didn't pack a ton of flavor and the textures were off. If you're going to Rose Mary and not getting the tuna crudo, you're doing it wrong. It's a must order every time I go. We finished with the budino which exceeded my expectations - lovely flavor and textural contrasts. Cannot wait to come back and try the next seasonal specials Chef Flamm cooks up!

Absolutely loved dining here and it was an exceptional experience! The Lamb Ragu pasta was my absolute favorite. The dish was a perfect balance and had richly flavored sauce, making every bite a delight. The clams and toast (appetizer) was also great as well. The clams were fresh, and the toast was a perfect crunchy contrast. The ambiance of Rose Mary is cozy and inviting, and the staff were knowledgeable and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. If you're looking for a memorable meal, I highly recommend trying Rose Mary. I can't wait to return and explore more of their menu!

Finally got a chance to go to rose Mary! We arrived for our 8:30pm reservation and it was still very packed. I came with 6 people so we were able to get a little bit of everything. To start out with my drink I got which was the raspberry olive oil sour, I thought was just okay and so did some of my other friends who got it.My friend got the rum coconut milk punch which was amazing, highly recommend. For food:- the zucchini fritters were tasty but a little on the burnt side- ribs amazing -squid ink risotto wonderful, definitely fishy taste so stay away if that's not your vibe-cevapi brought me right back to Croatia -cacio e pepe tasted like a high end version of Annie's white cheddar but elevated and greatCannot wait to come back!

Finally tried Rose Mary and I fully get the hype! Everything was so delicious and the restaurant is so nice inside. We had a great experience from start to finish. My SO and I visited on a Sunday evening and it was quite busy inside (I made a reservation about a month out for a Sunday). We ordered a couple drinks and started going through everything that sounded good on the menu, which was a lot. The waiter recommended about 4-5 plates for two of us. We ended up ordering the zucchini fritters, tuna crudo, grilled clams, cacio e pepe and pork ribs. Everything was SO good. My favorite by far were the grilled clams. The sauce on them was amazing. The pork was also so tender and flavorful. I really wanted dessert, but we were way too full after eating everything.Definitely recommend visiting if you're looking for a unique restaurant in Chicago! Love the Croatian-Italian spin on everything here. Will have to go back to try more!

We returned to Rose Mary yesterday for an early dinner and were incredibly underwhelmed. Everything seemed to lack flavor- the pesto sauce for the zucchini fritters tasted like nothing this time, and the bucatini was incredibly bland. While the pasta is fresh and tasty, the lack of seasoning and depth of flavor during this visit was disappointing, particularly considering the price of the dishes. The zucchini fritters, which I looked forward to all week, tasted overcooked and possibly made in old oil as the flavor was really harsh. We avoided the risotto this time because it was so underwhelming on our last visit, but we didn't find a whole lot more flavor elsewhere. The best dish we had was the crostino- which had their delicious bread along with a fava bean spread, whipped ricotta, and coppa. It was very flavorful! However at $17, we were a bit disappointed to see that this was just two small pieces of bread with topping. I wish we had gotten the stracciatella, which came with a significant amount of bread, instead. Service from our main server was apathetic at best and generally disinterested, contrasted with the the server assistants and bussers, who were attentive and on point.Overall I don't think this is a good value or worth going out of your way for, but I personally don't think anything in the West Loop is worth the exorbitant prices so maybe take that with a grain of salt (which they should have used more of in our food). Some people value the atmosphere more than I do, and it must be expensive to hire someone to water all those plants up high. They still have the undisclosed 4% surcharge. For what? They don't even say why. Just a stupid money grab...again please just raise your prices instead of doing the shady charges. It's been 4 years since Covid, this is the new normal and you can't just keep saying that prices are temporarily increased.

Loved this place so much! Came here for my husband's birthday and it was fantastic with the cutest ambiance! Our server even brought out a vegetarian menu fir us to accommodate our dietary restrictions. We ordered the zucchini fritters, stracciatella, crostini, and the pesto pasta all of which were absolutely delicious! 10/10 for all these items. The stracciatella was by far our favorite and we loved the unique flavors with the chili oil!The zucchini fritters had a unique ?cajun seasoning on it that paired really well with the pesto aoli.Loved the addition of the bread crumbs with the pesto! The crostini was light and flavorful with a fun twist added with the fava beans.Would definitely come back and order it all again!

This was one of the best meals of my LIFE! I took my gf here for her birthday and I'm so glad we did. They offered for us to sit at the chef's table to watch the kitchen and it enhanced the experience so much. We ordered drinks but I don't even remember much about them because the food was too incredible. We started with the cauliflower and the zucchini fritters - both were amazing!! We had asked our server Johnny about the stracciatella but decided not to get it--he sent us a small sampler of it instead! So generous and it was delicious!! We got the ribs and the cacio e Pepe pasta for mains. WOW!!!! Both were seriously unreal. Still dreaming about both. We rounded our dinner out with the orange sherbet, and since it was a birthday, they gave us pistachio gelato with a birthday candle. Truly so sweet and was just the cherry on top. I cannot WAIT to go back! Worth every penny!
