Polite staff, food was delicious. I ordered the almond chicken combo. I also had the egg flour soup which was a little too hot at first. But it was very favorable. My food came out in no time. It was a pleasant experience

Great food! Great service. Don't pay any mind to cheap people on here who shouldn't be going out to eat if they can't afford it, if they get it to go, drive home and expect it to taste the same as the restaurant. People obviously used to Panda Express flavor. It's great!

If you are wanting a variety of Chinese food in Puyallup this is the place to go!! They have Szechuan all the way to Singapore noodles and chow fun!The service is always good and they are so welcoming.Ambiance is more of a Chinese restaurant of course, they have a little fish aquarium in the front of the restaurant. Plenty of parking as well

Came about 8pm ish on a Tuesday and the place was almost empty. The shop is located in a plaza so parking was easy. We were seated right away and brought our waters. Staff was really nice. Food came out in about 15min!5/10 Salt and Pepper Pork $14.99 - do not recommend. It isn't seasoned at at and most just batter. 9/10 Sautéed Green Beans $12.99 - well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The beans were medium firm. 6/10 Family Tofu and Veggies $13.99 - it was just veggies and tofu. No seasoning. Not worth the price. 7/10 Honey Walnut Shrimp $17.99 - Average. No complaints.8/10 House Special Fried Rice $14.99 - Good amount of protein and flavor!

Food is always delicious here. We came with a. Party of 8 and enjoyed our time there! The service was great, & we had a good time catching up with eachother. There were lots of laughs and it was my mother in laws birthday. They had never been to Rose Garden before and are definitely coming back to try something new every time. Thank you!

I'm very picky on Chinese food and am having a hard time finding decent Chinese cuisine in the area. Of course I was craving Chinese food on a Monday, a day most Chinese restaurants are closed but found Rose Garden to be open during lunch time. I ordered a few items to test the waters and was pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a very nice hostess. Inside was clean and orderly. We waited maybe 10 mins to place our order and then everything came just as quick. First came our drinks ($3.99 each with free refills) and appetizers (around $7.99 for pot stickers and around $11.99 for wings). We scarfed down the potstickers quickly and halfway thru the wings we got our entrees. We ordered salt and pepper prawns with a side of pork fried rice (around $17.99) and an order of tomato's with scrambled eggs with a side of steamed (2 scoops) rice (around $15.99). As pictured, portions were a La cart size when I was expecting a lunch plate portion so that was a bonus. Our total bill was around $83ish that included tip. We enjoyed our first meal here but I judge food establishments by the 2nd time and beyond because sometimes I'm just hungry so I won't say I love a place till I've eaten there at least twice. Plus consistency is key.Next time I'll try the combo fried rice, chow mein and wor won ton soup because I'm a firm believer that if a Chinese restaurant doesn't get those "basic" items right then maybe nothing else will. But so far so good Rose Garden! I'll be back to see how delicious you may end up being, and I'll sing your praises if you are!

Very yummy and well seasoned entrées! We've been here about 3 times now and while we were skeptical at our first visit, we ended up absolutely loving the food here. Excellent customer service as well! I'd say our go-to entrées are the Spicy Seasoned Crispy Fish and the Cantonese Chow Fan, usually with shrimp. I only gave this restaurant 4/5 stars as the interior and ambiance could use some work. As well as making sure that the utensils and tables are a bit cleaner. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant to friend or family member.

I don't quite understand how this place has less than 4 stars. A coworker recommended this place so my wife and I stopped in on a Wednesday night for dinner and our experience was nothing but wonderful. I was hesitant to eat here initially as their Pierce County health rating is "okay", but I was able to read their inspection reports (public record) and there was nothing concerning from a consumer aspect. Service was great, food was amazing, prices were fair, and the facility was clean. The sweet and sour chicken was so good that my wife was trying to go again the next night lol. I also loved their egg rolls and pot stickers. Again, I'm super confused as to why the stars are low. So happy to have found a great Chinese food option close by.

We are originally from New York. I'm accustomed to good Chinese food. The Pacific Northwest is challenged in this department. We read the relatively positive reviews for this restaurant and decided to give it a chance. When we visit a new Chinese restaurant for the first time, we order our "standard" dinner: won ton soup, eggrolls, pork fried rice, moo goo gai pan for me and kung pow chicken for my wife. We got the "small"won ton soups. The bowls were very small, so were the won tons. The dumplings were doughy and very stingy on the filling. The broth was barely warm and tasted like slightly salty water with raw scallions in it.The egg rolls were also very thick skinned. We ordered chicken egg rolls. My wife found a piece of chicken in hers. All I got was cabbage and dough. Egg rolls are more like spring rolls out here. These were thicker and very disappointing. The fried rice was so dry we couldn't eat it without mixing it with sauce from our entrees. It was the right color (brown like in the East. True Chinese fried rice is light yellow -- we prefer the brown). My moo goo gai pan was also the right color. It's supposed to be chicken breast and vegetables, traditionally Chinese cabbage, pea pods, water chestnuts, and mushrooms. Rose Garden's version has everything except the nice, green cabbage. There were a lot of chicken chunks; Moo goo should be sliced white meat. I found maybe two slices of water chestnut and three or four pea pods. I got a whopping four mushrooms! The sauce was bland to the point of being tasteless. My wife had kung pow chicken. It looked good and had a nice blend of ingredients. She said the chicken left an unpleasant aftertaste. The service was like the food; lacking in quality. We had a long wait to order. The soup arrived about five minutes after we ordered. A minute later, all of the other dishes arrived together. I would have hoped we would have been given time to eat our soup, then the egg rolls, followed by the entrees.Without any beverages other than the tea and water, the check came to $60 for the two of us. That seems about average for the area.Needless to say, we're not coming back. Save your money. This isn't a good choice for Chinese food.
