Nobu Rooftop during the warmer months is a fantastic place from which to enjoy the Chicago skyline. Surprisingly the drinks are better than a year ago, though I would not say this is the best cocktail bar. To me, the sushi items stand out more than the other food items, which are just okay. In my opinion you're paying a premium for the vibes and views. Service is typically great. However, this past time I was asked to wait nearly 30 minutes despite having a reservation, which I found unprofessional.

Rooftop at Nobu is a great spot for casual drinks and bites all while having a nice view of the city!I'd recommend ordering to share so you can try more things! The food was very good but you can def find food just as good or even better for 1/2 the price. It's more for the vibes. The dishes that stood out to me the most were the truffle fries which were a special at the time, and their infamous spicy tuna crispy rice. I also ordered their yellowtail nigiri and it was so soft! I'd love to come back and dine in the actual restaurant for a special occasion!

Been to Nubo restaurant few times and had great time,so decided to try the rooftop since nice weather out but got little disappointed. The food and drinks are delicious but the waiter is not friendly at all.

Lychee martinis, 1000/10. Hard to find a place that you can order a martini that tastes the same every time.

This place is a vibe! I came with my sister for a drink to get a view of the city and it was gorgeous. Can never go wrong with a nobu experience!

This rooftop has an amazing view of the city sky line and the rooftop has enough seating and standing area to accommodate a large group of people. I ordered a strawberry mocktail. The bartender was extremely skilled and created beautifully presented drinks.

Nobu rooftop inside was a 7/10. Would love to see the outdoor part in the summertime, I think that would be a better set up. The food was good, tiny bites that pack a punch in terms of flavor. Favorite was the tuna nigiri. Cocktails were good too. Service was fine.

Surprisingly a not-so-crowded spot on a weekend night. It's enclosed in the winter, but it was still a nice swanky spot for drinks and bites. The cocktails are excellent but expensive ($20). We tried a spicy salmon roll and taradito (sashimi in ponzu sauce). Both were delicious and perfect with our nightcap. It was cool how there was a chill dj as well!

This rating is 90% based on the VIBES not the food. Went with some friends for a birthday celebration and we enjoyed ourselves. We got the cucumber rolls, salmon avocado rolls (which didn't sit well with my stomach) and the edamame. Outside of the salmon rolls, the cucumber rolls and edamame were fine, nothing crazy. I loved the DJ that was playing, I was not expecting that! Overall, really great vibes and beautiful views. I will probably go back but not get anything to eat. Perfect place to celebrate birthdays (with a small group) or go on a date. Also, this is in a great area where there are plenty of restaurants that you can also hit up after for larger servings of food.

The four of us went for drinks on Saturday night at the Nobu rooftop - one of us was celebrating a birthday and wanted to just lounge outside and have a couple cocktails on a nice rooftop. We went up the elevator and the host table was right there, and we were seated almost immediately in a great corner couch/table. The cocktails were delicious - unfortunately they must have only had one waiter working the whole area because we had to wait a really loooooong time to order several other rounds of cocktails. Our waiter was nice but clearly had way too many tables to adequately serve as she mixed up our checks at the end of the night, after waiting for a really long time after we had finished our last round. We had been prior to this and the food was good, but expensive (but you probably already expect that if you're booking a table at Nobu). Overall, the view is beautiful, but everyone else knows that and so the area of the patio to look out at the skyline is super crowded. Since there are so many other beautiful rooftops in Chicago with better staffing and service, we will not be going back.
