ROOF

The hubby and I decided to escape reality and checked into theWit for some getaway time. With our food and beverage credit as Hilton Honors gold members, we thought, "Hey, let's hit up the ROOF!" Now, being the classy hotel guests we are, we expected some top-notch concierge action to help with the reservation. But alas, no such luck. We checked in on a Friday and were told it's about to turn into a nightclub after 9 pm. Luckily, we got there around 7:30 pm to find a sea of empty tables. We order up some pizza, a few drinks, and because we're feeling wild, a couple of desserts. Service? Nice. Music? Louder than your grandma's hearing aid on full blast. Our waitress was a gem, but we had to read her lips to figure out what was happening.Come 9:15 pm, we make our grand exit, only to watch the party animals come in. Suddenly, there's a bouncer at the door, and the vibe shifts from chill dinner to full-blown party mode. Electric, chaotic, and totally fun. Cheers to spontaneous night.

We got there as soon as they opened on a Saturday w/ a reservation, but there was bar seating as well for people with no reservations. Service was good & consistent. The empanadas were super fresh and flavorful. I loved the pizza as well, the flavors were very balanced and I was told that the sliders and potatoes were great. We had a scare of blue pancake batter splashing on the buns of the sliders and looked like mold, but our server apologized & reassured us. She also had my drink remade with no issue after a few flies landed in it. The restaurant is super pretty & great for photos.

Good vibes. Very nice bright rooftop. DJ playing music. Drinks are a bit overpriced but they were strong we had a good time. Bartender was great.

If your looking for a brunch place this is it. The restaurant is located on a retractable rooftop so you get to be inside while being outside. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The food was good, we really enjoyed the empanadas, hummus, and I absolutely loved lemon blueberry pancakes!!!! Will definitely cant wait to come back here when Im in chicago!

Great space. It's all about the vibe here. Menu looks good. Just stopped in for a drink. The restaurant side was pretty loud and busy. Bar side was quieter and more intimate. Staff is friendly but not on par with what I would expect. One drink was $20 out the door. Um, that's not happening again.

Pretty but pricey! Paid $20 for one cocktail. They did have a happy hour menu but I didn't like their cocktail options. Loved the service although it seemed as if the host had a somewhat catty demeanor. Our server was sweet though!The decor and lighting was beautiful to say the least. I didn't try any of their food options because we were short for time but the drink I ordered, Ginger Snaps, was delicious. It was off of their Seasonal Cocktail menu.Mmm not too much more I can say other than book a reservation and that if you're taking a Lyft or Uber from this location to ask the front desk for assistance because it can be tricky for the driver to find you if the location isn't pinned correctly.

My overall experience was just okay here. The drinks were a bit watered down and the food was good, but nothing special. We got placed at a wobbly table initially and we asked to switch since there were plenty of other tables, but they were hesitant to at first. There were no other reservations that came in during the time that were were there and it was strange that they were unwilling to move us if they were not expecting any other parties. The best part about this bar was how they decorated it, I loved the interior design choices.

We ubered  to the Roof on the Wit.The Roof is located in a hotel and has a rooftop setting even though it was covered. There wasn't much of an outdoor view but the décor and set up was really pretty.  As we waited for our table, we got drinks at the bar. Since it was brunch time, most of us tried the flavored mimosa. They were really good and I like the fact that there were multiple flavors to pick from vs just the peach and orange juice that most places serve.  We originally were seating in a booth but there were too many of us. We ended up sitting in the middle with the couches and even though that's not my preferred seating arrangement it worked out well. There was a DJ while we were there. He was playing a mix of music and his set was really good. It was really easy to just vibe and enjoy the music.  I ordered the steak and eggs and it was delicious. Some of the meals that were ordered and that we liked were:  French toast, chicken and biscuit (the gravy that came with it was interesting... It was a strange flavor profile so I would recommend asking for it on the side) and Eggs & Toast. Service was on the slower side so I would say be patient with the servers. It seemed like our server had a large section. It took a while to get refills on our drinks since she had to wait for the bartender to make each one after we ordered. Even though service was a little slower than expected we still had an awesome server. She did her best to fulfill all of our requests & she didn't mind updating us when there were delays with anything we ordered. Overall, we had a great time here. Th ambiance was really nice and the music set the mood for a great afternoon brunch.

Classy upscale place with a real beautiful rooftop view. Definitely pricey!! We got there right as happy hour was ending but our waitress was kind enough to give us one round with happy hour pricing. Our table got a variety of drinks (gin and tonic, negroni, lemon drop martini) and we all enjoyed! We shared some pizza and fries. LOVED the parmesan fries. Margherita pizza was yummy but i was very hungry so hard to gauge. At night this turns into a club, will have to check that out next time!!

Dionte was a fantastic security person! Extremely helpful in getting us in. Very professional. We will be back just for him.
