Rolando's Taco Shop

Rolando's is definitely one of my highly recommended taco shops in the area. Always so crispy and tasty. One of my top places to go for my California Burrito fix.

Looking for a good and quick brunch option? We tried the 4 carne asada tacos for $9.99 and the 4 tacos de adobada for $9.99, with sodas for $1.89 each. The meal was big, tasty, and quite oily. However, the cashier wasn't very friendly or doesn't even greet us. On the plus side, the atmosphere is good and the space is spacious.

Walk in cashier sitting in dining area on her phone .. walk up stood there like 2 minutes then ask if I was ready still on her phone . Placed order as she was still texting on phone explains why my order was wrong .. got fish taco seems like had been fried several time that fish was now just crunchy. Also ordered 3 rolll tacos ( seem like casto ones) only guacamole and cheese. Get home has guacamole and cheese also lettuce and pico after i had just ask for guacamole and cheese might be she was to busy on her phone to take my order right .. and to top it off got 1 salsa .. hahaha ... will not be back ... good service make mediocre food taste good .. but bad service and food ... only gave it 2 stars because place was clean

This Taco Shop has never disappointed me. Whether it be some carne asada fries, carne asada burrito, or even their California burrito, my tummy has always left the place in a happy mood. I pack a big appetite but the Carne Asada Fries they serve is something that is easily shareable between two folks!During peak hours, I often try to call ahead to reduce waiting time but aside from this, the quiet but cheerful waitress and her cooks have always treated me with great customer service.I'm thankful that this place is in my neighborhood because if ever I'm in the mood for some Mexican food, I know exactly where I need to be!

I was visiting the San Diego area and was recommended to go here by a friend. I walked in for an early dinner to a very homey eating area and was greeted by the friendly staff. I ordered pollo asada fries which came out to be around $12. After about a 10 minute wait my food was ready and when I picked up the bag I was immediately taken aback by how hefty the fries were. I asked for a couple red and green sauces and headed home. Nothing could have prepared me for how packed this container was. There was an incredible amount of cheese, meat, and fries. I do wish there was more guacamole though. The salsas were both just average and held back the meal from being 5 stars. I feel that a more creamy sauce with ketchup, siracha, and mayo would have completed it. Overall, I would come back but only eat it at home where I could use a different sauce.

The price for a burrito with a soda is 15$ without taxes ordering it through the "Special Menu". If i ordered a burrito with rice and beans alone, it would've been 17.89$ without taxes and without a drink. Seems extremely overpriced. Last time coming here.

I always love the food here. The people are great As well as the food. It's exactly what you expect it to be. I love the enchiladas, rolled tacos and shreds beef tacos. Yum yum! At least a once a week thing for me. The price is right too. Oh!!! The beans. So good.

Terrible service, no public bathrooms even if you buy something , don't speak English, but yah mad about not having bathrooms

Amongst of the many taco shops in town this one was pretty good. The 5 rolled taco special is a good choice as it isn't too expensive for San Diego standards. Interested in trying their other taco plates in the near future. What helps me is this is right next to AutoZone where I frequently pick stuff up. This taco shop is a handy option for sure.

AGAIN with the salsa garbage. Ask for 4 of the small red salsas with my $15 burrito and get 3. I'm done, tightwads. May you go bankrupt and close your doors. So lame
