Another return. Arrived around 8:35pm seating usually ends at 9pm and the staff took our name and said no worries there's a full house but they would seat us even if it's a bit after 9pm.Now we knew what we wanted today, for the most part and knew food would come out QUICK.So we got spicy crispy chicken with white rice and peppers (the peppers come with the seeds so beware of heat) which i enjoyed thoroughly. The lady got the basil fried rice level 2 spicy which is perfect for us as level 3 surely kicked my butt last time. Probably won't venture to level 4 and 5 haha.We also got chicken satay, which is as expected tender chicken on a skewer and ofc the yummy peanut butter sauce! What i love about the tomyum soup is the broth flavor itself it's bold, hits in you the face with perfect balance of sour and spice. Shrimp was cooked perfectly! As we spoke about all the Thai spots we've been to, yes there have been many, but we feel that Rod D by far cost to food is hands down my top choice at this moment. Portions are filling, spice levels actual made with the sauces and not just throwing chili flakes in abundance. Service and time of the food is nuts. We ordered, then like 1 min later i added a dish. Give another minute since sitting back down and 2 dishes were already brought out plus drinks. Find that elsewhere right now, bar none.

Brookline truly has some really good restaurants, Rod D being one of them! There are a bunch of Thai spots around in the area but Rod D is sooo super worth giving a try. Tonight, we were craving Thai food and decided to head on over to the area. There is plenty of meter street parking available, which was such a relief because having to drive around in circles to find parking is such a hassle sometimes. We started off with Thai iced teas, per usual, for entrees we went for the Indonesian fried rice with crispy chicken & Pad Kee Mao/drunken noodles with seafood, & ordered mango with sticky rice for dessert!Thai Iced Teas: 4/5. Good flavor, a little on the watery side. I prefer a thicker, more creamy thai tea but still good!Indonesian Fried Rice w/ Crispy Chicken: 5/5. Perfectly seasoned & had a nice kick! The spiciness isn't bad at all. It was just the right amount that makes you wanna keep eating!! I have never had Indonesian fried rice before but I surely did enjoy it. Pad Kee Mao w/ seafood: 5/5. Man, I love a good drunken noodle! The noodles were stir fried well. Very flavorful & couldn't stop eating it haha. I also loved that they gave a lot of vegetables; I am a huge fan of veggies ;)Mango w/ Sticky Rice: 5/5. THE MANGOS WERE PERFECTLY RIPE! Oh my goodness. When this dish was served to us, I could not stop looking at the color of the mangoes. You know when you just know it's gonna be a good tasting, sweet mango? Sure enough, I was right. Literally perfect! I could have like 5 more. Paired with the sticky rice, it was chef's kiss! I liked how they kept their mango with sticky rice simple and didn't drown the mangoes and sticky rice with coconut cream. Sometimes, I find that coconut cream can be a bit overwhelming so this was quite refreshing. ** I was blown away by the FAST, EFFICIENT service here! Oh my lanta. Our server took our order, and not even five minutes had passed, our entrees were served to us. It was also super busy and packed here today but I can definitely see why they are as busy as they are; quick service & absolutely delicious Thai food. AND they don't skimp on the protein either!! We didn't expect for the Indonesian fried rice (added crispy chicken) to have both the crispy chicken and regular chicken. The portion sizes are pretty hefty too so I'd say, definitely worth the price. We both still had about a 1/4 of our noodles & rice left. Would totally come back again !!

TLDR: I cannot express how good this Thai food was! The flavors were amazing, the perfect about of spice, the chicken was crispy and yummy, and the crab rangoon was filled and fried to perfection. Get the Indonesia fried rice and crab rangoon. 13/10 must try it to are in Boston looking for some fire Thai food. The prices are a bit high for the portion size but the flavors make up for it! Our server was super kind and encouraged us to try the Indonesia fried rice and that was the best decision I could have made. There is plenty of seating inside and the food comes out pretty quickly! I'm so excited to go back when I visit Boston again.

Wow this place blew our minds and tastebuds! I think we might have some serious competition with Tom Yum Koong for best Thai place in MA! I've seen some tiktok videos about this place but didn't really think much about it cause Tom Yum Koong got us. But we were in the area and were craving Thai food and upon looking at their extensive colorful menu, many great reviews, we were sold. It was surprisingly not crowded when we went in like whut? The place is very cute, the art and the set up make the place look like a true restaurant that you'd see in Thailand. The service was friendly and super quick! I got a kao soi with shrimp and I am so mad at myself that I didn't try this dish sooner because my dish was perfection. As a half Viet person, I wanted to grab a banh mi to dip in and savor the broth. My boyfriend got himself some spicy pork belly sautéed with Chinese broccolis and it did not disappoint. There were no mango sticky rice for us to try sadly since the season for them was over atp so we tried their rotis for dessert. It's yummy but nothing compares to our love for mango sticky rice and we would love it even more if it's banana roti and if it had more condensed milk and Nutella drizzling on top. But my oh my, Siti does know what he's doing! If you're in the brookline area and are craving Thai food, you have to stop by Rod D!!

The food was great, very large menu with many Thai dishes that I've never seen before. The real-fruit smoothies were really nice, I recommend the pineapple and basil one.

Thai food in Brookline! This is probably my favorite spot for casual Thai food around Boston. The place is small and very unpretentious (best for smaller groups and solo diners); seems pretty popular and I usually expect to wait a little if going at an average dinner time. It has a very typical menu (all the classics you see at other casual and/or takeout Thai spots) but it stands out a little for me because service is really fast when dining-in and the dishes are consistently flavorful and satisfying. Additional notes: their branding is really cute and same goes for their menu design!
