Roberto’s Taco Shop

I absolutely love taco shops, and it makes staying in SD that much better. But, there are so many to choose from!This one is, by far, my favorite. The food is great. I've been several times and not experienced any issues whatsoever. But it's more than just the food. The service is truly refreshing. I constantly feel like I have to sacrifice good service for great food. But not here. The staff is incredibly welcoming and helpful. The only problem with having this place so close to where I live is the constant self-control I have to possess to keep myself from going here every meal.

I am so happy that the previous Mexican restaurant went out of business. Their chile verde still returns in my nightmares. So I am happy to report that the food is excellent, the service is very fast and the prices are very reasonable. But what's with the gray exterior walls? A Mexican restaurant that is dark gray? GRAY??? It looks like a block of electrical transformer housing and not a restaurant where the color palette of the food matches its cavalcade of tastes and scents. A gray Mexican restaurant?So only 4 stars.

Swung by this taco shop for lunch since we were in the area and definitely would come back! There's a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating, and they have a private parking lot so you don't need to worry about finding street parking. The service was quick and friendly! We ordered Carne Asada Chips and a California Burrito, which were devoured pretty fast. It was a good amount of food that could be shared between 2-3 people easily. All in all, the food hit the spot and would recommend going here if you're in the mood for good Mexican fast food!

Friendly staff, good food and generous portions. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Not as good as my regular go-to spot but very good option.

This place is delicious!! We just got off a flight and were looking for something with high stars and it did not disappoint. I only gave them 4 stars because two of the breakfast burritos we ordered had egg shells in them. We ordered chips and guacamole - we were pleasantly surprised when they came out so large!

First time trying rolled tacos and now I know why they're a favorite for so many. First time eating at this Roberto's and the service was great. Cashier asked me if I wanted three but I chose five with the works. Of course I could only eat three because they're huge! Also, they're delicious, not greasy at all and that guacamole was perfection. It's a smallish modern looking place with indoor and outdoor seating. Muy Bueno!

Solid carne asada! This new , non- drivethru site is clean, bright and has it's own parking! The carne asada in the taco and burrito was freshly made and tasted like it! They have a salsa bar with a tasty mild chunky version which was perfect with chips. I would definitely be happy to return.

The food tastes really fresh and the service is great. I have had the rolled tacos special and a potato breakfast burrito. The burrito was huge. Everything tastes like real authentic homemade food and it's good. They have 4 different salsas. The orange salsa is my favorite. The horchata and Jamaica are tasty. I also just tried the tostada bowl and it was really good. Loving this new spot. Can't wait to try everything.

Roberto's never disappoints. After all these years the food still taste as great as I remember it when I was a kid. I had the basic three rolled tacos with guacamole and a beef taco (sorry didn't take picture of food this time). The service was quick even during the lunch rush, new location for his area, the place looks architecturally appealing.

My husband's been eating here since he was a kid, the road tacos are delicious and I love their homemade salsa
