Why does this restaurant have such high rating is beyond me. Food: it was okay. not superb or tasteless. Service: The waitress missed our order twice. Brought us a wrong dish for once, and gave our dish to the table next to us. Service is very slow. I was there on a weekday at 5:30pm, so it was definitely before the rush. My guess is they are more heavily geared towards togo orders than the dine in guests. The upside to this place is that this place has its on parking so it was easy to park. That is the best part of my experience.

My favorite place. Always fresh. I often get it delivered if I can't go there. Love itttttttt!!!!

Do not waste your time coming here! It' looked like an abandoned place and they only offer " TAKE OUT's or Food TO GO Only! Place is dirty I'm assuming they went bankrupt? lol wasted my gas with all this damn reviews it's all lies! Place is nothing like what people are saying on those reviews.

Outstanding neighborhood sushi bar! Everything is fresh, portions are generous and the food is delicious. RK has a great big menu of fun and inventive american style maki's, entrees and appetizers. Its going to take me a little while to work my way through that menu, but I am up for it.The staff are super friendly too. Check out RK today! Highly recommend.

Awesome spot for well priced, good quality sushi! My friend ordered the Playboy Roll and it was much larger than we thought it'd be, which was great since we normally have to order more than one roll to get full. Just this one was enough! It also came with extra scraps of tempura, I believe it was soft shell crab? Maybe a mix of different kinds of tempura? Not sure but it was a great surprise! I ordered the 5pc salmon belly sashimi and an order of the yellowtail belly nigiri. Everything tasted fresh, and the salmon belly melted in your mouth. The staff were also very friendly, would love to come back here and try out more rolls.

Solid high energy sushi spot! We enjoyed the nigiri, Abel roll and Pink roll. Service was really fast and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. If you come here on your birthday, they will sing you a song and give you a hat to wear so that's fun :P Definitely not our favorite sushi spot in San Diego but very decent and wouldn't be upset to eat here!

All the great reviews led me here and they were not wrong. It's a fairly small space, but I was there for a late lunch, so we had our pick of tables.I always like to start off with a flavored edamame and the spicy garlic version was perfect. We shared the shrimp tempura roll and the nibu roll as well as salmon nigiri. Everything was flavorful and fresh, but they could have a better selection of sake.

I've been coming here for years, good quality sushi at a reasonable price in the middle of Hillcrest. Sounds too good to be true? It's not!I always get the Sexy Roll and one of the salmon hand rolls. The menu is huge so it's fun to try a few other things too each time. If you're into see if they have a wonton soup that is outstanding.It's a small little place that is always impeccably clean. Very busy on the evenings and weekends. The service here as always, fast and friendly as well.

It's been years so an updated review is in order. I always forget about this place, but when someone brings it up as a place to eat, my answer is always YES!The service is relaxed and welcoming. The food comes out as it's ready and at a speedy pace. Don't let the small tables fool you. We managed to fit three plates of sushi rolls, edamame, a bento box, and an extra miso soup plus water cups. Sushi is always an eyes is bigger than the stomach situation, but you just roll with it (ba-dum-bump). Anyway, I really enjoy the crispy rice/spicy tuna appetizer and really haven't had a roll I didn't like. Be careful coming into/going out of the driveways to the parking lot since it can get tight. Or, do you what I do and go during mid-afternoon when it's likely to be less busy.
