Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen

Once again, our original dinner plans failed because we spotted this cute quaint Japanese restaurant quietly in the corner. We can never pass up on sushi if there's a sushi restaurant we haven't tried yet and we are sure glad we had Yoshioishi for dinner tonight!This spot is NOT AYCE sushi just heads up. While it's hard to find great quality in ayce restaurants, we always opt for restaurants like this since the quality is always better & so far Yoshioishi lives up to that standard!They have the best salmon and yellowtail belly sashimi that I've ever had!! That's all that matters to me! My bf went for the rolls, they are BOGO 50% off M-Thu (all day) btw! The TNT, Lemon, VIP, and the Lobster roll all were so tasty! Also servers were very attentive, quick, and friendly, they made us feel at home. I'd recommend this spot to anyone I know that loves sushi!

This place was okay for being a Corona/IE option, I don't think it is comparable to sushi&ramen places in OC. The service was great! Our server was very nice and attentive. The interior is clean and the kitchen can be seen, decor is cool and all the music is Twice/Blackpink haha. For food, we got the spicy edamame (tasted more sweet & spicy) and veggie rolls to start. We also ordered the veggie ramen, chicken ramen, and salmon roll. The flavors were okay and didn't stick out to me. We also got the Thai tea but it was too milky, hard to get the flavors.

So far, good experience. They give free milk tea if you leave a review fyi. I love tempura rolls so that's why I am here.Update after eating here: milk tea was sooooo good. 10/10 would recommend. Sushi was pretty good too. Service was a bit slow, but nice waiters. Overall I'd come here again.

Wow! I would never have expected such a great sushi meal in Corona! It's been many years since I've been in this city and was very pleasantly impressed by the development it's had.I was looking for a sushi restaurant and Yoshioishi Sushi & Ramen popped up in my Yelp search. It didn't have a ton of reviews, but is highly rated and I can definitely see why. I ordered the Yoshioishi Sushi combination that came with 9 high quality pieces of nigiri, a generous blue crab roll wrapped in soy paper, tamago, and miso soup. The combination is filling. The sushi was fresh and delicious, a couple pieces of nigiri also had dabs of truffle which enhanced the flavors even more. Toro, amaebi, and uni are a few of the premium sushi that were included.We also ordered the Tonkatsu black ramen and spicy garlic edamame. Both were tasty as well. The ramen broth was rich and flavorful, just as you would expect a good ramen broth to be.The service was very good and attentive and the restaurant itself was clean and spacious.Based on this experience I will definitely be back again next time I'm in Corona!

Food was amazing and great service! 1/2 off on special items- would recommend highly try the 911 roll!

Excellent ambiance. Servers are all wonderful every time we go. We love the ramen and sushi here. Excellent selection of both. One of our favorite go to spots! Very clean restaurant.

TLDR: It's fine... It's not a place I'd recommend, but I'd go if I was in the area and wanted Japanese food. The overall taste profile is generally flat. Tonkotsu ramen (black garlic) - Visually, I can see what makes it a "black garlic" tonkotsu ramen. However, I really can't taste any of it. The tonkotsu broth feels more like an essence than something I'd get from a restaurant. It's a shame since the chashu was find, the noodles were okay, and the egg was very nicely done. If the broth was just better, it would have been a nice bowl of ramen. Chicken karaage - I've had much better karaage. They either need to change how they size the chicken or they need to make decent adjustments to the taste. The current state of the karaage will not go far in the restaurant world. Gyoza - It's not bad but it's not memorable either. It's slightly better than store bought but you're left wanting a bit more per bite. We also ordered a roll but I forgot the name. It was sub par taste wise . The size was good though. Service - Solid service. Can't complain. It is worth nothing that we were the only table at that time though. Ambiance - Pretty good for the location. Cozy, spacious, and clean.

Bomb sushi spot! Love their "buy one get one half off" lunch special for rolls, definitely a good deal for a quick lunch. The fish in the rolls and sashimi tasted fresh and service was great. Definitely a good spot if you don't want AYCE!

Fish was fresh and delicious. Rolls were perfect! Service was spot on! Really attentive to us and brought us our "extras". Fresh wasabi is the bomb here!

Texture of the noodles is very good and the sushi is delicious! We also ordered calamari and it was very crispy and good! Eggs are also delicious! Soup is also perfect.
