A great place for a lovers picnic or a game of fetch with the dog! Maybe an after church gathering! Or just some book time.

This state park is popular for horseback riding and mountain bikers. We saw lots of both during our 4 mile hike. There are many different interconnected trails making it a fun place to explore. Some parts of the trail had oak and other parts with local chaparral. Great place to bird watch also. No restrooms available but lots of parking. There is a park with a playground and restrooms before you get to this state park which is perfect for a picnic after you explore Wildwood Canyon SP. Wildlife in the area include mountain lions, bobcats, deer, and snakes. We saw none probably because my kids are very noisy.

Great place for hiking. So glad to have this treasure so close to home. Yelp, the photo is wrong, as is the address on the map. I'll post a correct photo later. Here's the correct address:12241 Canyon Dr, Yucaipa, CA 92399

I went for a hike up here about a month ago. It was on a Sunday morning and there were only 2 cars at the gate. This was my first time there and I gotta say, it was a very nice walk. It looks like there are several trails to choose from. I chose the road more traveled since it was my first time. It was a dirt road all the way through the mountain. Very peaceful, serene and almost like a movie. I caught myself looking back behind me because it was almost too quiet. I must have walked for about mile before I saw 1 person. Looks like there is a lot of horse riding that goes on here too. In addition to that, I saw signs posted for a mountain bike race being held here. After reading the local paper, I see that the mountain bikes and horses are not a good mix. So, I don't know how long this will last. As for me, I will keep on walking. I definitely plan on coming here more often as the weather is warming up. I might come back to this and give it 5 stars once I try more trails. Definitely a spot to check out and kid friendly.

I hiked this with a group of friends on a Saturday morning and it was completely beautiful. It was empty, we didn't see anyone until the end of our hike. We started on the multipurpose trail, and it started to incline and we ended up on the "Oak Tree Loop" and that's where we found an abandon house. There was a very nice view of the city and it looked as if we were on a prairie. We also seen a few people riding horses. I think its a nice hike and not too difficult.

We really liked this park. It has nice trails and a horse trough where my dog could get water. My GPS took us somewhere else but we eventually found it ourselves. Watch out for the thorns though, my dog got one in his paw in the parking lot. The mountain bikers we talked to said the thorns are bad this year for some reason. Even bad for bike tires.

Nice little hike. Plenty of shaded areas and great to take the dog on a walk. Great place for some outdoor fun and exercise. There is restrooms on site but it's a porta-potty.
