What's Good BBQ

Been killing this spot in Mo Val for a few weeks. Closest food that I've had in the I.E. that reminds me of home cooking and L.A. bbq. The food spot is in the plaza with Mel's Liquor.

Was not disappointed!!!Walked in and was greeted by the owner/chef. He did say that he had a rush early and only had a few meats left: fried chicken, catfish, shrimp, brisket and he had all sides available.Ordered fried chicken w/ fried and shrimp + brisket w/ Mac n cheese & greens.Drinks: Kool-aid The owner/chef was extremely nice and kept telling me I favor his youngest daughter. I don't believe he's been open long so he only takes cash for now. Got home and Everything was good!!! Chicken and Shrimp were crispy and fried to perfection!!!Will definitely be back to try the other Meats.Oh and everything was only $45! Can't beat that

I live around the corner and wanted to stop by all the time but didn't have a chance until recently. The owner was super friendly and explained to me the options. Bring cash with you to get a great deal on a meat and sides combo.

i've been searching for some real street bbq for quite a while and i finally found it!definitely recommend

Good service food was good they hooked it up for the price hard to find good bqq where they not stingy on the servings had links ,ox tails and chicken will definitely be back to try the ribs and brisket just got to make sure get there early bc they be selling out fast.

The chef was very kind and welcoming and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was also welcoming if you want to eat inside. I appreciated the positive customer service and the tasty food, the prices were very reasonable also.

Incredible bbq full of flavor! Wasn't sure looking at it if it would be worthwhile, but the service was fantastic and family run. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

You get one shot to get my business. I will not be a return customer. The young man was nice but very green. Wish him all the best.

I was not going to leave a bad review nor post pictures until I didn't get my refund returned to my card after being told I would and I also returned the food. The ribs were white, the chicken legs were white! The guy was very nice though. I supported a small business so I will accept that and move on. $33 gone!

Ribs: did fall off bones, meat was fresh, but did not taste grilled; tasted like they were baked.Fried chicken: tasted okay, but there was no crust by the time I got home due to moisture from styrofoam. Not sure why, other restaurant I go to is crispy and hot, and almost same distance. Potato salad: okay; had skin on, of which i am not a fan.Rice and gravy: rice not fully cooked, and gravy good with a tad too much butter.Mac-n-cheese: okay, a little dry; Meal was $25... not bad for portionsService: new owner very friendly, was upfront about menu items. Overall, didn't seen prepared for customers. I love supporting new restaurants.
