10/10, yes, amazing, you need this bread. We LOVE village bread! Everything we have tried here has been delicious, and you can tell it is all made with love. This is our go-to place for sourdough. We have tried the classics, but also enjoy the different flavors they do like the pepper or rosemary. The patties here are also delicious. I would recommend getting there early in the morning if you go on the weekends. They will sell out! Love that they share the space with Lucid Coffee, makes for a great morning. All the staff here is super friendly and helpful when you have questions.

Gotta say, the pastries were a hit, stopped by over the weekend on our way to Palm Springs. Although the pastries were great, the coffee side of the shop wasn't it. The coffee person was so rude. Seemed rushed to order and had a nasty attitude towards us, honestly tainted the experience overall. As for the goods, we got a chocolate cherry sourdough bread that was bomb and we loved, not heavily sweet at all, believe it was a special for Valentine's Day! Coffee wise, we got a shortbread latte that didn't quiet taste like.. coffee? Absolutely no coffee flavor, kinda tasted like just milk and syrup, let alone the shortbread wasn't really present. Recommend the pastries, skip the coffee imo!

The classic sourdough bread and the deserts are so delicious. You need to come early, because the desserts go fast! The sourdough is one of the best sourdough breads I have tasted, I go weekly for my sourdough bread. Once a month, they have a jalapeño and cheese sourdough and that one is to die for. It's delicious and we usually get 2 of them. Great bakery & friendly staff

Hidden gem. Can't wait to come back, hopefully earlier in the morning, and try more. Country sourdough was unreal. Also had a latte from lucid coffee- perfection.

My boyfriend and I stumbled across Village Bread when I wanted to try Lucid Coffee and went to their location only to find that lucid and village bread shared a location! We got two pastries which were so delicious-we loved them and will be coming back. We loved our lucid coffee drinks too. Would definitely come back as they have some seating to do work. The bread is fresh and the people helping us were so friendly. If you're in the area stop by!

I happened to be in the area and had time for a quick coffee stop. Yelp listed Village Bread with amazing reviews so it was a must to visit and so glad I did. The bakery doesn't open until 8:30a and when I got there fifteen minutes before opening, there were people already waiting. Another sign that I was going to love it here. Parking can be complicated during prime time hours. Restroom is in the far corner and is pretty clean. The line went fairly quickly but I feel like if they had more customer service at the registers, it would be more efficient. Ordering was simple but wasn't exactly pleasant. I had to give the guy a pass because he had a pretty harsh attitude. Everyone has bad mornings so I had to get over it. Note - there's another register who handles coffee orders. No need to get in the bread line if you just want coffee. Overall, the bread and coffee duo was great. I would definitely recommend.

THE best bread. I get sick from dairy or wheat products but not from here since they use clean products that are free from pesticides and additives. Tastes like the pastry's and bread I had when I was in Europe. I go weekly because we can't live without their bread. Their employees are the kindest around, sweet, patient and accommodating. The ambiance is great, they have a coffee shop inside as well, it's chill and relaxing and always smells like baked goods which I love.

I come to the area occasionally and always stop at Village Bread a must. The high quality of ingredients and craftsmanship make the breads and pastries some of the best in Southern California. The service is local friendly and efficient. The bakery itself is comfortable to visit and stay for coffee and a treat.

Highly recommended! Best bread in the IE! Wonderful, friendly owner and workers. Clean and welcoming. The coffee is the best as well - so many interesting flavor choices. Only ONE suggestion: please make more pastries for those of us who are farther away and can't get there early!
