I can only tell you that every single meal, appetizer, and drink has always been above and beyond expectation. Seriously - the vibe inside is immaculate. The wait staff is professional, courteous and attentive. Get a reservation. Eat anything on the menu. You won't regret it.

Got there 10 minutes prior to our reservation at 9:15 (for a party of 2) and saw other couples (who showed up AFTER us) getting seated BEFORE us under their little heated brick and mortar balcony. It wasn't until a different host came up and asked "have you guys been helped" that we finally got seated 20 minutes AFTER our reservation time. When we were finally seated, no one said anything, not a "sorry for the wait" not a "sorry, we're backed up today" they just gave us the silent treatment as if we were the ones that caused the issue. Then as we finally, passive aggressively got shuffled towards our table, it was under this dirty white tarp with flimsy little chairs tantamount to those white ones at ghetto parties or picnics. Then we ordered drinks, and the host literally left and didn't come back until about 10 flat with our drinks. This would be acceptable for a burger joint, or some place where the staff are barely making it by to give us a decent price. But this place was about to charge us $125 PER PERSON. You would think that at the very least, if they couldn't provide ambiance, timely service, or get us seated in a decent spot, that they would at LEAST have the host tell us WHY WE ARE WAITING, but they didn't. I bet the food would've been great if me and my fiance were willing to wait until 2 am for the damn meal. And they also have a 20% gratuity fee, otherwise I doubt they'd get tips. Maybe it's just how we looked, or maybe someone else's money is greener than ours, but overall, it's super pretentious. This place inspired me, to finally make a yelp account, just to warn others

I'm giving this restaurant five stars because the food was absolutely incredible! The Italian pasta dish I had was one of the best I've enjoyed in a long time. The hostess was so sweet and welcoming, and the ambience of the restaurant was truly fantastic--such a great vibe overall. That said, our experience with our waitress was disappointing. I didn't catch her name, but she seemed very irritated throughout the evening. As first-time visitors, we had a few questions about the menu and wine recommendations, but her responses were short and dismissive. At one point, my husband asked if he could take care of the bill discreetly to surprise us, and she even rolled her eyes, which was incredibly off-putting.Despite this, I'll definitely return for the amazing food and atmosphere. I just hope for a better service experience next time to match the otherwise wonderful evening.

We came here for our anniversary dinner, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The place is small, so reservations are highly recommended (can be done via phone call or email). We had a bit of trouble finding it at first--walked by it once not realizing we walked past the entrance. Once inside, it felt like stepping into an old wine cellar, with a cozy, intimate vibe. The open kitchen is a nice touch, letting you see the chefs at work. Service was exceptional--our server (I think his name was Martin?) was attentive and friendly, making our experience even more enjoyable. We began our meal with bread and butter and shared an octopus salad. For the main course, we enjoyed two types of pasta, and finished with a shared flat iron steak. The staff was attentive throughout, ensuring our main dishes arrived after we had finished the starters.Overall, a wonderful place for a special occasion!

The single best dining experience I have had!The menu is seasonal and meticulously crafted from ingredients locally sourced and grown.. some from their own private farms. The vegetables I ate were in the ground when I woke up so fresh is an understatement. The scallops were fresh from Japan and were probably under 2 days old from caught to served on my plate.* (I don't eat fish or vegetables and I couldn't get enough)Custom blended wheat created the cleanest pasta one could eat.Huge ribeye cut for the table with seasoned potatoes was to die for!! Custom dessert with pairs drinks to intensify the flavors.Curated wine selection!10* service with Jamie and capped off with the owner walking me through the menu, food, history etc... It was my first time here and not the last! Everyone I know will be hearing about this place all situated in beautiful, historic Claremont, CAI could go on but I think you get the point!

My husband and I came here for a date night. We didn't think to make a reservation since it was a Wednesday evening, but luckily, the hostess was able to accommodate us at a small outdoor table, which we happily accepted. The menu is simple and seasonal, as our waitress explained, and everything we tried was fantastic. I ordered a seafood crab pasta that was absolutely phenomenal, while my husband chose a meat-based pasta that was equally amazing. I also enjoyed a refreshing mocktail, similar to a lemonade, though they offer alcoholic versions as well if you prefer.Overall, it was a wonderful experience, but I'd definitely recommend calling ahead to make a reservation.

When you walk into this place, it transports you to an old time wine cellar in the country side of France or Italy. Its completely amazing in there. With all the wood and just rows upon rows of bottles. And the real candles and the dimmed lighting. A rustic yet charming place. The kitchen is right in front of you. It was nice to see the chefs cooking your food. The smells were amazing. They had a dumb waiter to ferry down the mixed drinks. As the bar/mixologist was upstairs prepping all the mixed drinks. The ambiance was perfect for a romantic date night. We were there when they opened and were maybe the only ones in there for a good 20-30 min which made it even more special!! Their menu is quite simple and limited. They have appetizers, pasta dishes and then just protein dishes. But they do make up for it, with their quality of the food. It was pure amazingness!!1. Cucumber salad- light and refreshing. Very fresh. Loved the vinegarette, added some acidity to the dish. It was a good starter dish.2. Beet dish- i don't remember the name of it. But the beets were cooked in such a way that it brought a smile to my face. Crunchy on the outside, soft and juicy on the inside. Texture, taste, presentation was just on point!! Best beets I've ever had!! My fiance who normally hates beets, really enjoyed them as well, and couldnt stop raving about them afterwards!!3. Pappardelle al granchio- a blue crab pasta dishes. Blue crab tasted sweet and succulent. There just wasen't enough of it. Pasta was cooked to perfection. Loved the crunch from the bread crumbs on top. It was a small plate, but it was very good. Sauce was creamy and thick and amazing.4. Bistecca- I thought the steak was gonna be hard. But it was thick and juicy and tender. Had great flavors. Great sear on the outside. Good portion amount too. Wish it had more of a side to it, minimal amount of greens and potatoes with it.5. Bread pudding- this is not your classic American bread pudding. Thick peice of sourdough drenched in sauce. It was hearty and thick. The sauce added much needed sweetness to it. Overall different, but good. 6. Also had a $70 dollar bottle of red wine. Paired well with the food. Really added to the experience of eating here. Only reason I docked them a star is our waitress was kinda mean and short with us. Yes one of our friends there tends to talk a lot and has no filter. But you could tell she was getting annoyed with us. Which I get but doesn't make it right. But besides her attitude, I thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Decor and ambiance is next level. Definitely don't feel like your in Claremont anymore!! Food was amazing. High quality, great taste!! And they also have a large selection of wines and mixed drinks here as well. Truly a gem in the heart of downtown Claremont!!!

We had reservations for Friday night at 7:30. We showed up a few minutes before and were greeted and seated after a few minutes of waiting. We sat in the breezeway and not inside which is fine on a warm summer night. We ordered something from each section of the menu and we opted to share each dish. The portions are a bit smaller than we hoped but found everything to be delicious. By the end of the night, we added another appetizer right before dessert. The staff were friendly and attentive. I'll say that the outdoor chairs are super uncomfortable. I'd like more support in the chairs for back support and padding on the bottom. But the atmosphere was nice so I won't hold it against them but be warned if you are sensitive to back pain.

The menu is very limited, but everything we ordered was delicious. Make sure to make reservations or you're not getting in. We ordered the polenta for our appetizer and the bread and butter. We also ordered the rigatoni, pork, and flat iron steak. Again, everything was delicious cooked too perfection. The cocktails were delicious. One of my favorite parts was the fact that the bartender was above us and the drinks had to go through a elevator, they came down to the first floor and our server got them from a wooden door. This traditional Italian inspired cuisine is absolutely worth trying out. The restaurant is so cute with its historic building. The seating is also very limited. It's a very small restaurant with this small patio. But everything is decorated so nicely and you get to watch the Cooks Cook and the bartender make your cocktails. It's pretty incredible. Will definitely be back.
