University Village Market

I'm sorry to say this but not worth it, the staff is wonderful, but the young man that says he's the owner owner brings it down. First time I was there he yelled at me, due to him thinking I was apart of another group that came in being rowdy, also refused to serve me and when I tried to explain I wasn't with them he just said "get out, it's my store and I choose who shops here.". I thought, maybe it was just a bad day so I went back later this week and he again yelled at me for standing to the right of the register instead of directly in-front of it, and said "put tape on the floor for a reason, follow it.". After that I would rather drive the extra 5 minutes to the next store and would in courage everyone else to do the same.

This is the most organized convenience store I've ever been to. Last week I tried 3 gas stations looking for nestle chocolate milk. Not one had it. This place did.

The owner is very sweet and also gives college students a discount on their purchase!! :,) I just wish the store was a little bigger.

Been shopping here for a while until I noticed twice in a row that they sell expired sh*t. You guys are lucky that I haven't gotten sick yet otherwise I would have sued your asses and have your store closed down. Will never shop here ever again. Much rather go to Stater Brothers that's just 10 minutes away.Beware for people that keep shopping here, please check the expiration dates.

University Village Market is my favorite place to go for anything I need! There's always open parking and they have late hours. The owner is really nice and after going inside the store numerous times I consider him my friend. Sometimes it's sketchy outside at night, but that's Riverside. 5/5 and highly recommended.

This is a conveniently place liquor store that sits between UCR and my residence. I go there on my way to campus to grab a snack or drink. I'm greeted well there, and I even converse a little with the friendly employees. I used to pay card but now I make sure to use cash because the have a $1.00 fee for using card so be wary. Also I remember one time my friend wanted to purchase alcohol about a week after turning 21 but the clerk told us we had to wait a month. There was probably a misunderstanding at some point because we even showed him evidence of my friend's age with his ID card but the language barrier must've been to thick. Regardless they can refuse service to whoever they want so we decided to not press further. Regardless, this place has what you want for a good price.

Don't waste your time here.... I'd give this market a 0 if I could. My boyfriend and I always loved to stop here before work or to just grab snacks. Today we went in to grab a drink and i'm sure it was the owner's son who confronted my boyfriend telling him "get out of the store no transaction is happening" he seemed to have mistaken my boyfriend for another person who was "bumping loud music in their parking lot" earlier in the week. my boyfriend tried to explain that it wasn't him and he said "if you don't get out of my store i will break your legs" threatening him. very UNPROFESSIONAL especially in front of other customers waiting in line to purchase an item, HOSTILE and seems to be a reoccurring issue from the previous review.... embarrassing and disgusting behavior to loyal customers. DO BETTER
