Uncle Fluffy

I wish there are more branches close to DTLA or even in SF or SG valleys.The fluffy cheesecake, among other good treats they have are really good and worth the trip (if you have friends or family to visit in the area).If I will drive all that far to satisfy my cheesecake fix, I think I will settle for Uncle Tetsu until I have the chance to visit Uncle Fluffy again. Just sayin'.

The store is set up very simple. Black and white. Not a lot of design, but efficient enough set up. I would have liked someone to explain more but I guess you can't have it all. So obviously the service was not great. The girl was very "one wordy". I was not impressed with my "fluffy". It definitely was not fluffy. In fake I wonder if it was supposed to be dense. Possibly it was not fresh.

Hello! OMG! I'm so excited that there is a Japanese cheesecake place close(r) to home! If you guys never have Japanese cheesecake, you need to try it!! I had it in Vegas it was so addicting! And up until now I thought it was the closest place to get one! So when I heard about this place, I went to try it! Is it as good as Vegas? No, but it's darn near close! Beats a three hour drive to Vegas! Guys it's amazing but the price is a bit overpriced, but still worth it for being close to home. The service was nice, and quick. The outside looks sketchy being across the street from the Tyler mall in a little strip mall, but don't let that fool you. The inside was open, clean, and well lit. I highly enjoyed and will be going almost every paycheck! Haha

I hope they open more locations in SoCal soon because wow, the cheesecake was so good! I came around 5:30pm & there were a few people hanging out inside. I decided to go with a small sized cheesecake & a strawberry shortcake shake. The cheesecake was really good and the size was so cute. It was already like 90% for me but if I had it fresh, it would probably be 100%. The shake was okay, a little way too sweet for me but it balanced out the cheesecake

I got here at 8:25. And Unfortunately, I left empty handed. They didn't have any cheesecake. The girl behind the counter said someone was bringing more to the store. If I wanted to wait 15 min.I don't know where he was coming from to be bringing more to this place.But, this was very disappointing. And I had people in the car waiting. I didn't want to wait.

Pretty fresh cakes.We stumbled upon this cake shop by chance. The name uncle fluffy is what caught my attention. I wanted to try the cinnamon pie and the cheesecake. The cinnamon pie was really good. The crust was perfect and the cinnamon filling was light and fluffy. It had a nice cinnamon flavor and wasn't too overpowering. Loved it. The cheesecake wasn't like American cheesecake at all. It tasted more like pound cake to me. It was good for what it was. But not my favorite though. Service was good. And the shop was very clean. It's extremely clean and cute inside. I liked the decor! Tastes authentic, been craving Japanese cheesecakes for a while. Glad I drove this far to get one. Macaroons were ok.Frosted mocha tastes like a milkshake, didn't taste a drop of coffee. Pistachio Tart ironically doesn't taste like pistachios lol but, at the end of the day, I did come for the cheesecake and that was good. Is it pricey? Maybe. It's not like we can get them anywhere though, sizes are appropriate imo.Service was iffy, the girl with the glasses in the front almost seems irritated to have customers coming in. !! A little tip: if you check in you get 20% off, I checked in a bit too late unfortunately!!

Uncle Fluffy has made its way to Riverside to bring us their take on Japanese cheesecake and tarts.FOOD / DRINKSThe delicate, light and fluffy Japanese cheesecake just melts in your mouth and is not to be confused with the dense and heavy American cheesecakes. I tried their Original Cheese Tart and their Mango Tart and I preferred the Mango Tart. Not outstanding but not terrible either. The Original Tart had an off-putting "it's been sitting in the fridge" taste. Ugh. On a positive note, the cheesecake was good and I enjoyed it. They do have delicious-looking drinks or teas I'd like to try some time. LOCATION / PARKINGUncle Fluffy is located on Magnolia near Tyler (across from the Galleria at Tyler) in Riverside. There's limited parking, as the lot is shared by other neighboring businesses within the plaza.ATMOSPHEREThe shop is decorated in almost all white from the flooring to the walls and to the table; however, the atmosphere didn't feel bright or open for me. It had a weird ambiance - almost uninviting. The lighting was a bit dim too (see photo). It's one of the things I look for so this was a minus in my book.SERVICEBeing that I was the only one in the shop, I expected good service but the girl who helped me wasn't as helpful as I'd like. I asked her which items were most popular here but she didn't have any recommendations for me.BRANDINGI like their signage at the front - good font choice. But the box and overall branding wasn't up to par with my personal taste in gift-giving. The box itself is glossy but with outdated hues of yellow and brown that didn't match the more prettier posters at the front of their store.Overall, I think it's great that Riverside to has a different dessert option like Uncle Fluffy. I do like their cheesecake and would happily recommend you try it!

I'm not much of a desert guy but when I was told about Uncle Fluffy and their delicious Japanese Cheesecake I was sort of intrigued. I like cheesecake and I enjoy Japanese food and culture. I wasn't willingly seeking out Uncle Fluffy until I stumbled on it when I was shopping elsewhere? So why not?Located in a very busy mini mall with Ross, Sally Beauty and many other businesses the parking situation is not the best. The interior is kinda eh. Sparsely decorated with some tables and chairs. Not a place I'd hang out to eat Japanese cheesecake that's for sure. Uncle Fluffy is VERY busy and people ask lots of questions at the register so mentally prepare yourself for a wait. They were also out of some items like tarts. I knew what I wanted so I just ordered a couple small Japanese cheesecakes for the kiddos. At $10.99 each they are not cheap. They're personal sized lol. I should have bit the bullet and got the large (a much better deal at $24.99) but I had other stuff to do and didn't see any ready. The cheesecake itself is phenomenal. Light, FLUFFY and not too rich. I can understand the hype. Would I return to Uncle Fluffy? YES. Would I wait if there was a line out the door? NO. The cheesecake is absolutely worth trying and maybe I'll get something else if it's available. Recommended!

This location was very clean. The employees were very helpful helped us decide what to get since it was our first time. The cheesecake was by far the best, I liked how it wasn't too sweet it had the right amount of sweetness for me. The macaroons were so cute and those were good as well. The tart was good too but the cheesecake was my favorite out of all the treats we tried.
