My bosses were raving about this place so I decided to pick this place to celebrate my birthday with them. I decided to try the Lunch Special Carne Asada Taco with Cheese Enchiladas and Beans. Also, we shared the guacamoleand chips. It was sooo delicious that I was eating so much of the quac than I should have and I even finish my whole plate from the lunch special. The lunch special dish was more than enough that I was so stuff from it. My co worker decided to get the churros and it's so flavorful, fresh, hot, and delicious! I would definitely come here again to try other dishes. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was very clean and lot of seats inside. It didn't feel too cramped. There are tons of parking spaces so made it easy to find parking.

Went here for breakfast and was very very disappointed! Had the chile relleno and it was so disappointing. NO flavor and I mean NO flavor and the sauce was very watery! (my friends said therelleno was frozen, not fresh, and it should look like it) I was so mad and after spending almost 20.00 on it, again so, disappointing. Then I went home and made some eggs to eat. I was and should have spoken to the waitress but, she couldn't be found then we had to wait a long time for the check, so we went to the cashier. The meal was just so disappointing!! I do not recommend going here when there are so many other Mexican restaurants around. Friends... please go elsewhere, where you can spend $$$ and have a delicious meal. Management... if you read this, please check text me, I still have my receipt to prove my statement above.

I recently dined with our family at Tropical Mexico after a recommendation from an old friend, and I have to say, it did not disappoint! First and foremost, the service was outstanding. Every lady who assisted us was incredibly attentive and genuinely nice, making our experience even more enjoyable. It's always a plus when the staff makes you feel welcomed and valued!Now, let's talk about the food. While it was just okay for my taste, the drinks definitely stole the show! My michelada was nothing short of amazing--refreshing and perfectly balanced. My husband absolutely loved his Cadillac margarita, which was not only delicious but also packed a punch!Overall, we had a great time at Tropical Mexico, and we will definitely be coming back for the fantastic drinks and wonderful service. If you're in the mood for a chill spot with a friendly vibe, this is the place to be! I removed a star because it's located in a sketchy place and the decor isn't very nice.

Stopped in here with some co-workers for a quick bite. By the looks of the outside, it seemed old and lower class but we all know you some of the best food can be found in places like this. The reviews showed 4-stars and over 600 reviews so I knew there was something good inside. The rear parking lot is huge and the back of the building looked modern. They're building a big large covered patio with a bunch of tv monitors so this place will be rocking shortly. The inside is a typical family dinner house with well spaced tables. Service was great throughout and they had a nice sized weekday lunch crowd. Typical Mexican dinner house menu and excellent chips and salsa (always a good sign). My chicken burrito, covered in green sauce, was quite serviceable and decently priced. My buddies all enjoyed their dishes and neither could finish the large portions. A nice local spot for lunch and dinner.

Tucked away along East End Street where Pomona meets Chino, and literally where LA County meets SB County, you will find this humble, unassuming restaurant. The staff is friendly and perpetually smiling. The family that runs this restaurant has done well to sew warmth and carino into the fabric of this restaurant. Don't be mistaken about the food either, despite being surrounded by warehouses and ranchitos, they are cooking up some serious homestyle Mexican food. They have all the tex mex classica like hard shell tacos, taquitos, etc, but their mariscos are excellent. I recommend the ceviches and cocktails which feature fresh and delicious shrimp, oysters, octopus and fish. The rice and beans are legit, and so are the chips and salsa. You can watch the games while you drink and eat too.Highly recommended if you're in the neighborhood.

We stopped by here for our annual hangout because our other Mexican restaurant was fully booked. First, very large restaurant with great service. Rosario took care of the 8 of us with great care. The food was pretty good. The Chile Relleno was solid and the chicken taco was crispy, not soggy. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Recommend.

June 11, 2024We have been away for a number of years and was looking forward to our dining experience. Tropical Mexico has been around for 47 years, and you know why, the food is always delicious. My wife says Tropical Mexico makes the best enchiladas she has ever eaten. I have always loved their carnitas. We have never been disappointed with the food and probably never will. The service has always been spotty however this time it was superb. Highly recommended for your dining pleasure.
