I recently moved to IE, so searched up the nearest tortas ahogadas restaurant. I read all the reviews and was skeptical because people had mixed reviews about this place and I didn't want to make the drive to San Jacinto and be disappointed. The restaurant was empty which I was glad because I knew they wouldn't be in a rush to make order. Ambiance is chill, decor consist of pictures of Chapala, Jalisco. Cashier was very friendly and pleasant. I Placed my order to go and it was ready within 10 minutes. The tomato salsa for the tortas was delicious, carnitas & birote were tasty. I have to admit I was not disappointed and tortas ahogadas have an authentic taste. For dessert I had a jericalla and it took me back to my childhood taste buds. I love jericallas. I would definitely go back again.

Only reason why I gave 2 stars and not one was because of the flan/jericalla/ (Dessert) & the 1 taco de cabeza . Besides that had I gotten what we received at the restaurant I would have returned it and asked for my money back. The torta de pierna was SALTY/OVER COOKED. The taquito plate the meat was UNEDIBLE. It was ridiculously rock hard not even exaggerating. Did I mention how skimped out the taquitos where. I mean I don't mind paying for food but atleast make sure it's worth $16 smh. Just moved out here and this is the first restaurant we try. I'm extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I'm not sure if I would give it another go tbh.

This is The spot for good authentic Mexican food. The best in town. The menudo was fire, and the tortas are very good, good flavor and portion. Also the tacos and the Burritos are good. Plus the personal is very friendly. Another good thing they have is a BUFFET on Saturday and Sundays from 9am to 3pm for $17 per person. They offer menudo, Chile rellenos, fajitas de pollos, tortas, huevo con salsa, arroz, frijoles, it's fire 100% recommend it..

I've tried their torta de Lomo, milanesa and now their new California burrito. This place always slaps and great customer service. They seem to always be updating and adding new menu items. You can get them ahogada (with the sauce all over) or without.

This place has been a lifesaver during the quarantine. We have ordered several items several different times and it's just delicious! You won't be disappointed with whatever you get here because it will be super tasty. They have their full menu on door dash and they pack the items very well with everything you'll need. They're prices are low for what you get.Food: Really delicious Mexican food! I'm Mexican and super picky with my Mexican food. My Mom is an amazing cook so I am hard to please. The chicharon here is to die for! Its saucy, tangy and just plain delicious! I was really curious of their torta ahogada cause I can never find a place that does them right. This place does! Authentic torta ahogada and authentic, delicious Mexican food!I will be ordering from them again when I am in south Cali and if you haven't you should! You will not be disappointed.

this morning my family and I came in hoping to have a good breakfast, but unfortunately the food wasn't good quality. we sat at a table and immediately the server came and took our drink orders, then came back and asked for our food orders, they took almost an hour to bring our food out and it wasn't that busy. my mom ordered a torta drenched in red salsa. the sauce had no flavor and the bread was stale, too hard to even bite into. my sister ordered chilaquiles with asada, the chilaquiles just tastes like lemon and were covered in onions. music was loud and very cold inside
