Wife and I actually stopped into this area of the building looking for a Peruvian place that we had seen driving by before. But instead we found Toro Y Pampa. Guess the Peruvian place is no longer around. We decided to try the place out. It was great..!! Its a small family run business, food is great, ambience is very nice, good soccer on the big screen..!! Highly recommend....!! We definitely will be back..!!

Had this place on the bookmarks for a while and finally able to stop in. Warm and welcoming. Great spot to watch a soccer game. Would definitely come here for some empanadas. There's a lot of cheese combinations so if you're lactose your empanada menu may be slightly shorter. Apart from that there's plenty of other food options and coffee. We dove into our dozen assortment and they were kind enough to provide some chimichurri. Loved the freshness of each one. We definitely needed to box up the rest and finish at our leisure later. Bright and colorful little shop with indoor and a few outdoor tables. Clean and organized with pops of Argentinian decor. Wonderful service!

The skirt steak dish was really good. The steak was so tender and the chimichurri was the game changer. The only downside was that the service was quite slow. Took us about 30 mins to get our dishes.

Argentine footballers fight for position on the walls. Above the corrugated aluminum wainscoting, Messi and Maradona push and shove for prominent placement. Shelving near the register houses the implements of the gaucho. Among them are the calabash and guampa cups with their bombilla straws sticking out of their tops. These are used in the consumption of yerba mate, the caffeinated beverage that keeps the average Argentine wired. I had no use for yerba mate on this visit because I did not show up to Toro y Pampa to get wired, but to get tired. That is, I came to eat.I ordered an empanada with spinach and cheese. It came fried. I couldn't tell if the dough was made in house, but it was very good. There was a near equal ratio of cheese and spinach. You bite into it and its molten filling has the potential to attack you. Chimichurri was delivered upon request.Of the three Argentine places I've been to in the IE, Toro y Pampa is the only one to use fresh herbs in their chimichurri. More of this national salsa was applied to the choripan that came next. "Choripan" is a portmanteau of the words "chorizo" (meaning sausage) and "pan" (meaning bread). Ergo, choripan is a variation of the hotdog. Just one more point of clarification. Argentina chorizo is different from those found in other parts of the Spanish speaking world where it is flavored with paprika. In Argentina, there is no paprika in the chorizo. There is ample garlic and a toothsome course grind to the meat. Toro y Pampa's choripan is fantastic. The crisp lean breadroll is sturdy enough to remain integrated as it soaks up sauce and drippings. The sausage has the taste of fire in it. You may not be able to discern the use of woodfire, but there is a smokiness that is not of the bottled liquid variety.

Came here for the first time with a friend to this hidden gem in Upland, CA on Foothill and Euclid near the Coco's restaurant. My friend has been raving about this place. We just came in from a quick east LA run, and we stopped by for lunch. The inside and outside of the restaurant were really clean. Also needed to use the restroom and was one of the cleanest I have ever seen! The lady at the front cashier was very nice. She greeted us with a great smile! For food, my friend ordered us the crunchy chicken sandwich to split and 2 empanadas each. We both had 1 ham and cheese and the other beef. Everything was very tasty! Wish I would have come here a lot sooner! I definitely will be coming back here with my daughter! I highly recommend you give this place a try too!!!
