Shrimp lovers roll is the best roll i've ever had. 10/10!! Everyone is always nice and welcomes you back "tomorrow" You know what, I just might!

About 5 years ago, the Japanese restaurant that my daughter and I would go to the owner retired and sold the business. My daughter and I have been looking around for a new restaurant similar that we could call our new favorite. Well, I think we found it here! Just recently my friend and I met up which I Learned was going to be the last time we would go to another sushi place that just closed last week. So it was fitting that I took my daughter here and also my friend for a great late Sunday afternoon late lunch and early dinner! The service here was amazing jono is a great guy! Also I appreciate Anna who waited at our table. She was so kind and on the spot with ordering, refills of our water, and explaining the menu to us as well as Jono who came by to let us know about the happy hour that is from noon to 5:00 p.m. I appreciated this very much as some places you go to they don't point that out and you miss it. But not here!To start out we ordered Waters as I'm trying to stay on the healthy side of drinks and we ordered a few happy hour appetizers. They are smaller portions, but for $5 for some and $8 for the rolls during happy hour, you can't beat that! My daughter and I got the shrimp tempura, the veggie tempura, and a good portion of garlic edamame. Everything was appetizing for sure! My daughter ordered the beef udon noodles soup and it was a big bowl, a great portion. I ordered a two menu item combo, the filet mignon cooked medium and shrimp platter, so mouth-watering! It came with quite a few sides, miso soup, a small salad with some beautiful ginger dressing, and fried rice which is only $2 more, well worth it probably the best fried rice I ever had! Also the yum yum sauce for the shrimp and the ginger dip for the filet mignon were extraordinary touches. My friend had various different sushi rolls and they all looked really good, the one that looked really cool was the Tiger, great presentation! Really everything here was presented very well! Everything tasted so amazing! At the end we had a super delicious caramel apple dessert in a way that I've never seen or tasted before! I will never look at an apple the same way again as this dessert was so good! It was drizzled with caramel and had a light coat of I believe cinnamon and sugar and a little side of whipped cream with sprinkles.Overall, I'm so happy that we ate here! I'm glad I found a new favorite! My daughter seems very happy as well and I know my friend enjoyed the meal with us! I definitely highly recommend this cozy place! If it gets busy, which it did, it can fill up really quick. It's located close to a Miguel's Jr on the Northeast corner of Limonite Ave and Sumner Ave. Please come in and enjoy and I know they will tell you...SEE YOU TOMORROW!!!

Surprisingly this was my first time dinning here. In the past I would take out or pickup for a delivery customer. I know Jono and he's an awesome guy and sushi chef! Came for an early dinner with a few friends and picked a few rolls from their happy hour menu. Spicy Tuna roll, spicy salmon roll, and the tiger roll. All delicious! My friend got their Teppanyaki steak with fried rice. His daughter with us got the beef udon soup. Everyone enjoyed their meal! I would highly suggest coming during their happy hour times. Appetizers for $4.99 sushi rolls as low as $5, not bad! Their tag line is.....SEE YOU TOMORROW!

The place was small, but it has nice decor inside.Everything was really good and fresh.We ordered a roll that's not on the menu called the 'Jennifer Roll,' and it was amazing! The perfect combination of fresh fish, avocado, lemon, and jalapeño.We also had the Mango Tango Roll, Aburi Salmon Sushi, and some Yellowtail Sashimi.Our server, Ana, was very attentive and kind. This is the best sushi spot we've been to so far, with a great service.

I visited Jono's twice so far because it is not in my neighborhood. I like the cozy mom & pop style. The food was good and great customer service.

After getting many recommendations via Facebook on a good sushi restaurant I decided to give this location a try. I had a very specific roll in mind and although they didn't have it on the menu I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they created it. Of course they charged me extra for this request which is understandable. But after my visit I wonder if it would have been cheaper if I added eel to one of their already established rolls on the menu. The one in particular was their shrimp lovers roll. I basically wanted that but with eel added on top. I'll have to ask my next visit if I do go that route again. But ultimately very worth it. Our rolls were so fresh and delicious. And so cool they were able to make a roll outside of their menu to my liking.

The location is small and quaint, but service is speedy. The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was delicious. Fish was fresh and tasty. The fried rice is so flavorful. Really good sushi.

I recently visited Toro Sushi for my husband's birthday, and we had such a fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the friendly service made us feel right at home. The staff was attentive, warm, and quick to accommodate all of our requests. The sushi was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented - every bite was delicious!The decor was super cute, with charming/funny little touches that added to the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The service was impressively fast without feeling rushed, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised to see soju on the menu - a perfect pairing with our meal.To top off the evening, they added a special birthday touch! The staff put on a mini lightshow and sang for my husband, which made the celebration even more memorable. The whole restaurant had such good vibes - it felt like a place we'll definitely return to. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great sushi, a fun atmosphere, and friendly service!

Love this mom and pop shop. You can tell they care about their customers. They have great presentation of food. We've always been very picky about our sushi as we have been to the best places but their fish quality is pretty good. We always get to go but we've eaten there quite a few times . It's small but a nice cozy place to eat at. A go to sushi place.

Ordered the Happy Hour 3 item combo via DoorDash, and it was *not* good value. I get sushi for takeout quite often (from all different restaurants in the area). The piece of salmon on top of both my rolls (Alaskan + Charlene) were the smallest (thin and narrow) pieces I've ever seen. It was actually comical, the pieces were so thin that they were translucent on the rice. Additionally, each roll was only 5 pieces (smaller than other rolls).The amount of yellowtail fish inside my Negi Hama roll was equally stingy. I usually don't care to leave reviews, but this one really stood out to me. Maybe their in-person experience is better.
