I have been going to Tony's since I was a kid in the 60's. The pastrami sandwich with potato salad, chips, and a pickled egg was always my meal of choice. Great service and great food is the reason I always return.

The sandwich was not good. Very dry and $10.50 for just meat and bread. To add cheese another .50, to have a pickle another .75, and potato salad another 1.00. Very nickel dime you!

Super delicious. Got a half & half. Half beef dip and half grinder. Both were so good. They were large, fresh, and flavorful. Their mac salad, potatoes salad, and coleslaw was really good. I enjoyed it. Service was good too. Nice ladies. I like the atmosphere and ambiance. Lots of history displayed around the restaurant

This is straight out of the 50's this place was established in 1958 everything must be original it's crazy.... In downtown Pomona by the rail road tracks. You see graffiti everywhere and homeless but I felt safe it's just part of pomona.. they survived covid but since covid they lost business now they are only open till 3. The cook in the back has been here for 50 years and she is in her 80's. They are famous for their beef dips and potato salad.. I can see why both were very good. The potato salad we were told people buy it by the gallons it's a secret recipe that remains a secret to this day.The rolls are fresh which makes the sandwich a perfect combination. Stop by and check it out you won't be disappointed.

The sandwiches we purchased was good but it would have been better if the buns was warm. The two ladies seem pretty friendly. The meat portion was good. First time here. Happen to ran into the owner when he was at Queen's Bakery picking up the bread rolls. That's how we had to try this new place to us. I see it's been there since 1958. Wow. I let the lady know we found a hair in my husband's potato salad and she just said sorry. I feel she should have least offer us another portion.

So sad I have to write this but this place has lost it's touch. It was a treat to come here as a kid now it's overpriced, they are tight with the meat, the bread is not soft like it used to be. They charge for the pickles that used not come with your meal. The serving sizes are definitely smaller. I wish the food was at least the same and I wouldn't mind paying.

Glad I found Tony's French Dips in Downtown Pomona. I was lucky enough to meet the owner that still makes the sandwiches the right way. They have been open since the 1950's and still serving the Pomona community with their amazing sandwiches. I had the 50/50 Pastrami and Beef dip, both are amazing the Pastrami with mustard and pickles had to be my favorite and the dip was perfect! Come to Tony's French Dip!

Review:I tried the French dip, and it was solid but didn't quite blow me away. The bread was definitely a highlight--it all starts with good bread, and this one delivered. However, I wish there had been a bit more meat; the sandwich felt a little light in that department. My biggest gripe was the au jus--it was tasty, but there just wasn't enough of it. By the time I got to the second half of the sandwich, I was almost out, which took away from the full dipping experience. Overall, it's a good sandwich, but with a few tweaks, it could've been great.
