Tiki Republik

We had brunch at Sunrise at Sunset which connects to this really cute and fun tiki bar "Tiki Republic" Met up with Sam our bartender who not only fun to talk to you, but super intelligent and easy-going. First and foremost had the best movie playing on a Sunday afternoon. "Forrest Gump" Enjoyed some ice cold rosé and some delicious cream cheese filled wontons, but they weren't your typical wontons. These were incredibly delicious!!Aloha!!!

Update: The food was incredibly delicious and service improved when the food arrived as well. We would come back. Came in when it was empty and the service has been mind numbingly slow with minimal acknowledgement from the staff. Ordered a drink and had to remind them to bring it after 20 mins.

Friendly bartender Sam who took good care of us. We were a party of 2 on a Sunday. Didn't seem that busy, but they share a kitchen with the restaurant next door. Food came out a bit slow. We ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and a burger. Portion size was generous. Burger was juicy. The tacos were also delicious. Cocktails, Sam makes a really good Singapore Sling! Great place to stop by and have a drink. Ambiance is unique with a huge gorilla and faux plants on the walls and ceilings. Definitely a fun place to dine enjoy the ambience.

Nice chill place. Big Island salad and the drinks definitely hit the spot. Christian was genuinely friendly and very helpful to us visitors passing thru... Thank you man!!

I was visiting for the weekend and I was excited by this new restaurant in the square. The food was very lackluster. Service was slow. Drinks were weak. Got the original Mai Tai and it was just ok. We got the Ahi Tartare- this was a weird combo of flavors which just didn't work in my opinion. We got the wings too which was just ok. My husband got the Hulu Huli chicken plate. This was also okay. Portions were large thoughI got the shrimp tacos which was the best thing on the menu I think. It was pretty filling.

This spot is really cute and I love that it connects to an outside , lakefront patio ! I wasn't sure what I wanted so I just asked the bartender for a drink that Included fire and I got the cmon baby light my fire !! It's a fanatic play on a traditional dole whip . Service was friendly ! I didn't get to try any food so I can't speak on that yet but I'll be back .

Had a nice lunch experience here. Huli Huli chicken was wonderful, slightly sweet and tender, with really nice rice and a zingy mango salsa. Kalua pork bowl was excellent too, with a surprisingly smoky flavor on the pork; not sure how authentic that is but it was delicious. The spicy edamame (we got sauce on the side) was great too, sweet spicy sauce was somewhere between teriyaki and chili crisp and very addictive. Portions were not gigantic so we were left a little hungry. All was enjoyed by the young and old in our part. My Mai Tai was spot on (dark rum float was nice too). Service was very friendly but a little slow; took 40 minutes to get our food and the place wasn't packed (I think they share with the restaurant next door). Indoor tiki atmosphere created a fun vibe, not noisy, with tropical background music and old Gilligans Island episodes playing on the TV behind the bar. They do have outdoor patio seating by the lake but that area wasn't open at the time. Plus it was a misty and cold afternoon.

Had drinks and an app here while visiting Lake Arrowhead and loved it! We sat at the bar and it was fun to watch the episodes of Gilligan's Island they have playing. The decor is fun and fits the vibe.Our server was really friendly and great. The Mai tai's in particular were awesome - I don't like pineapple so appreciated they had a non-pineapple options. The lomi salmon app was also good.

good food drinks and service. i live in BB and came here just for the ambiance. i do recommend for locals
