The Sportsman's Bar

If you want to have your privacy invaded and not have your rights protected, then this is the shithole for you.I am 100% legally handicapped (military service connected) --which is openly displayed on my license plates in the vehicle by which I arrived. I was being harassed in this place 10/12/24; and instead of the manager recognizing that I was being made uncomfortable (by 12 assailants), she instead had me leave for a scene they instigated from the beginning (touching me and saying unwelcome statements--harassment). The one who had started it off by approaching me in this manner, returned a bit later "to apologize for his poor behavior"--just before I was able to finish my only beer--I told him I wasn't interested, and to cease harassing me; but he instead, kept pursuing me; and so I continued telling him to leave me alone, but he didn't refrain from his harassment and threatened me, he said "I have twelve friends here", to which I responded, "it's easy to be tough with twelve buddies behind you; just leave me alone, and we'll have no problems". Notice I never once approached these assholes, but they felt like they had a right to continue to approach me against my will. I even moved seats to further illustrate to him that he was not welcome to further advance at me.Laurie the manager then showed up (she wasn't an admissible witness) but informed me that the guy harassing me was getting married and they were celebrating all day--so most likely inebriated--whereas I hadn't even finished a single beer. When Laurie told me this, I think she was expecting me to allow my rights to be violated (conspired to deprive my rights); simply because, he had no self control--but at his own discretion.--and all his twelve buddies in the same/similar state.I have a right to be safe secure in all my belongings, including my body (4th Amendment), and when other people start violating that in your establishments, then you need to protect them, and Sportsman's Bar is incapable of securing them as very recently demonstrated.If I had been a girl and simply called him a creepo, it would've been a whole different story; so they also bear a double standard towards not only handicapped people, but also men.Their only interest is money; but if their patrons' rights are continually allowed violation, then that money will go away...I'm a regular too (and I regularly just sit quietly drinking, and mind of my own business). The only times I ever speak up is when folks in the bar begin to harass me, and touch me uninvited or unwelcome. If you want respect, then you also have to give it; and harassing random handicapped, male bar patrons, and causing a scene is not respectful, it is a hate crime. I did inform the sheriff; but even they still do not have all the facts; and of course the videos will be accurate to my account from when I arrived and left around 6PM; because I was as not inebriated like the other twelve who decided to commit such atrocity.This bar has no loyaltyNo wonder it's always empty... this place is a shithole

A friend had mentioned this place so, sight unseen, I made the drive to Corona on a Tuesday evening. Older, run-down, building. Ample parking. This is indeed a dive bar. Sign on the front door instructed you to use a side door since the AC was on.Entering I found a dozen people, either at the bar or shooting pool. Definitely a regulars hangout. It was loud, but mostly due to a "jukebox" (a newer, electronic kind mounted on the wall where you could play a digital version of most anything for a fee).Seemed to be a full bar, with a half dozen domestic beers on tap. Plenty of bottled beer. That seems to be the go-to. No food, per se, but when I asked I was directed to a crock pot on a shelf against a wall that had ground beef that was clotted and drying out. There was a bag of Kirkland tortilla strips, a package of small tortillas, and some shredded cheese and toppings. It was on the house. Pizza would've been a big seller here. Not sure if they have a lunch truck show up on weekends or not.They do have a website that mentions entertainment. There's a stage and a dance floor. 2 pools tables that I saw. There were over a dozen screens showing whatever you wanted for sports. Service was actually great. Heather took care of me and was the only person behind the bar, so she was juggling everyone. Very attentive. Everyone else was very friendly as well - even the patrons. Great security guy.

This is what it is a local dive bar. The service was well what you expect. Being a dive bar. They always cater to the locals first understandable. The drinks are way overpriced that's why I'm giving it 2 stars 8.00 for a captain and coke. 8.50 a whiskey shot seemed extremely high priced for this dive bar. 4 drinks and 2 shots 49.00 is way to much for this dive bar. This is probably why their was noone in there on a Sunday but 5 to 7 people. Probably trying to pay for the paved parking lot.

Always see this place and Rockefellas across the way and finally was able to stop by and check it out.Service - Cool security and bartender. Real nice people and quick at getting orders in and made.Drinks - Ordered a few cocktails, beers and shots and everything was well poured.Prices - Don't go to many duve bars lately, but da'n the prices are great. Venue - Actually a lot bigger than it looks outside with a good size bar, 1 pool table, seating and a stage area.Parking - Wasn't bad but if it was a busy night it can be limited. Will be back for sure.

This place is under new management and they are getting it right they know how to treat their customers. It was hot and I was looking for a place that would allow me to bring in my therapy cat. They were most welcoming. But he. Had to have a leash which was no problem. Great place

Went ther two weeks ago with some peeps after a ceremony of life bartender was cool she don't ignore new ppl stopping in it was nice to meet he regulars . Gotta come back and visit soon

Came here after a day at the spa with some girlfriends on 3-2-18. It was late and we had been drinking all day so to say that I had had enough was an understatement. I am from a small, very po dunk, town in central California where we do not have Uber. I was drunk, out front crying not knowing how to get back to the hotel when the manager of the bar came over to see if I was ok. She, I think her name was Laurie, BUT not sure, values her guests/customers. This women called me an Uber, waited with me until they came and I was safe inside the vehicle. She refused to accept any money from me and just wanted me to be ok and safe. She was blonde, wearing a red flannel that evening. I wish I could thank her personally, but this will have to do. Please make sure she sees this and thank her for me! Sportsman's...... You rock! Thank you for treating customers with care and concern.

What a great little bar handy to the highway and all in Corona. Pool table, reasonable drinks and friendly staff. Mention Dennis Doody and get a free drink (he's an owner there)

Had such a great time! Lori is a awesome Manager. They had a band playing, great band! "All night long" and the bartenders are so sweet! This was my first time here and this place gives you that "everybody knows your name" feeling! The bartender made this chocolate peanut butter candy and shared it with everyone. The music was great, the people were friendly and the staff was so nice! JUST A GREAT ENJOYABLE NIGHT! Check it out! You'll have a great time, i'm sure of it!

I've been going to Sporty's for years. I love it there. But today I went there and a girl named Chelsea was working. I had a tall screwdriver and a short screwdriver. When I got home I noted 3 charges on my account. She had charged me for an extra drink, that I didn't ask for or get. Ba careful if you go in on her shift. Otherwise place is great. I always have fun there and the other bartenders are great and don't charge you double.
