The Oak House

Went to the Oak House to enjoy a Sunday morning breakfast with my mother and had a wonderful experience. I'd expected to wait to be seated as it was Sunday morning but were seated immediately. The service was friendly and prompt. Mom had the Divorce eggs and I had the steak and egg breakfast. Both were excellent. I started off with a Bloody Mary that was perfectly spiced. I'd recommend the Oak House.

This is the first time visiting this restaurant based on Instagram videos describing this place. My wife and I and friends decided to try this place. The restaurant has a nice country look to it and the people there are very nice. The food we had was good but we thought it wasn't hot enough considering there weren't that many people there, even the coffee was warm.

I liked this place. I liked the food. Didn't get anything off the wall, just a cheeseburger, but it was good and cooked as I requested. I went on a Sunday for lunch, no wait, service was good and attentive. It is a pretty small place with a very small parking lot so I can see how people would complain about both, but there are plenty of other good choices in Yucaipa to go to if it's busy. Overall I liked the rustic feel of it and the food.

HOMETOWN FAVORITE!! This restaurant screams small town ambiance. It is so cute and country inside. All breakfast foods are amazing. Omelettes, country potatoes, and French toast are my favorite. They grind the Coffee beans and it makes all the difference. Service is always welcoming and speedy!! As a active service member, I come here every time I'm on leave

Food is not good. Utensils we were given had crust on them. First time here and last time here unfortunately.

We FINALLY got to eat here. Over the last 20 something years we tried 3 times only to not get served. It's actually quite nice inside with a country type atmosphere. Better than I remembered. There's several animals on display which I liked. Menu is full of "diner" type meals. Meatloaf, Salisbury steak, etc. I had the chicken cordon blue which was quite good but a touch salty. We got there near closing so it wasn't crowded. I like a good diner so I'll be back.

Never experienced such prejudice. The waitress told us to leave if we didn't like it. I have NEVER ever felt so unwelcome in a restaurant in my hometown ever. I mean every single person was so rude. I would never recommend to anyone. Wish I could give zero stars.

Went there with my daughter the other day. I was happily impressed about the way it is decorated inside and out.I was here a few years ago, and I never came back because it was dark and dreary., but it looks like they made alot of improvements. The waitresses work hard at being friendly and efficient. The service was great.We had the conventional breakfast, bacon. Sausage, and eyes. Pancakes, coffee.I would say that the food is just ordinary, nothing special, but o.k.We would definitely go back, because it was an enjoyable experience. We are looking forward to trying new things on the menu.They have alot of Mexican food, like eggs with chili, chorizo and eggs.

We've eaten there before & the food was good. Prices were a few dollars more than other restaurants near by, but we like to support local businesses. We went there last night (Fri) and were shocked at the increased pricing. Of course, it would too embarrassing to get up & leave, so I ordered my favorite ( pork chops) which had an increase of $6 ($25 instead of $18) & my husband ordered the Salisbury steak. He automatically ordered coffee, but was shocked when he had to pay $4.25. Then we got the dinner!! The food was so bad that we couldn't eat it. We boxed it up & brought it home. Hopefully I can try to doctor it up & eat it. Do not be surprised if you go there, expecting that I'm exaggerating. You've been warned.

Oak House is an amazing restaurant.The owners and the staff are absolutely so polite and accommodating. The food is top notch. The birds and lizards and koi are amazing and so well taken care of! There is no place better in the IE than Oak House for a beautifully served Cadillac Margarita! Perfection!
