The Mexican Kitchen

Tuesday, 11-26-2024: Today is my actual last work day and my last chance to spend with some good friends and treat them before I leave.This eatery is nothing fancy and has a rather small interior with some outdoor seating. The food here is consistently good and the customer service is great. They offer a 10% military discount.I ordered my favorite dish, Chile Relleno and one friend ordered taquitos and the other chose chicken enchiladas. The chips and salsa are self serve and complimentary.I will miss this place but will drop by if in the area.

The Mexican Kitchen is located in a small shopping center off Elsworth and Cactus, across from March Air Base.Inside you'll find short tables and booths and limited table and chairs outside on the sidewalk. This was my first time here and the food was ok. They have a salsa bar and out of the three I tried, one was great but the other two desperately needed salt. There wasn't much flavor. Both meals were ok. The fajita breakfast was a bit dry so we were happy to have a cold Pacifico beer with it. Service was friendly and the food came out quickly.

This mom & pops place is the best Mexican food I ever had in Moreno Valley! I go here after my visit from vase. Short 5 minute drive, I get the beef taquitos and my husband gets the beef flautas! The complimentary chips & salsa is delicious! The staff are awesome!

The enchiladas have square chicken pieces... I've never had any enchiladas with square chicken bits. Wasn't very good. Rice and beans are ok but wouldn't order from here again. Also no flavor and wasn't even spicy. Sorry

The first day I got a carne asada taco and a bean and cheese with enchilada sauce. I didn't care for the beans as they were whole. I prefer refried. The flavor was decent though. Not the reason for the two stars. The carne asada was fresh on the taco but lacked flavor. It was cooked well though. Tender. The second day I got a carne asada burrito with only cheese and sour cream. The meat tasted like it was sitting in the sun since nam. It was gray flavorless meat-like textured cubes. Gross. Wont be back. Sorry. Thank God I didn't get sick.

The friendlies staff! Came in here to try out their chicken salad I hear great things about ! And it was delicious !! We also got the ceviche tostada , and my hubby got the taquitos plate. Will definitely be back ! Restaurant was clean and cute decorations !

It was hot, it was filling, it was reasonably priced. It was not good. Both my coworker and I noticed there was no seasoning on the meat, and there was absolutely no flavor, even after adding some salsas. The service was nice, and it was an otherwise decent locale, if a bit small. The food really was just beyond bland.

It was nice inside, line moved quickly we ordered our food and drinks. We had chip and while we waiting on our salad we're delicious

Food was ok, not as fresh as I'd like.The wait was long and I was the only customer.I had taquitos and chicken tacos, which were not great, but not all bad; rice and beans were regular.Can't recommend until they at least deliver quality of food close to what they offered before the pandemic.

Good food and service!! The employees are very welcoming and polite and helpful. The chips and salsa is good, also!!
