The Fuel Meal Prep

Please heed the warnings from everyone in these reviews. I ordered from this company after seeing all the negative reviews hoping I would be one of the few to have a good experience. I placed my first order the first week of January 2023. I order 15 meals and about half arrived already spoiled. I could smell the decaying food before I even opened the box. The meals are vacuumed sealed but they had already started to become undone. Also they only put one ice pack in the box so the food doesn't stay cold long enough during the shipping process. I ordered the second week off January to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe the new year holiday interfered with the processing but the second week was the same issue with the spoiled meals. So I just canceled my subscription and cutting my losses as I have seen many bad reviews about trying to recoup money due spoiled meals. I have been ordering from meal prep companies for 5 years now and this would have to be the worst so far when it comes to multiple entrees arriving spoiled back to back.Also another item to mention is that there are no use by dates on any of the packaging. I remember other reviews mentioning this but I think it bears repeating.

Update 4/7/2022The new packaging with the shrink wrap has corrected my previous concerns about the constant spoiling issue. These also make the meal quality better as they now heat consistently. They have improved greatly in the last year and are now more stable. I switched to the meals that only consist of meat and broccoli and my fitness has improved. I am now 5 8 170 rather than 185 when I switched back in Nov 2021.

*update review*My fiance who ordered a batch of meals for the 1st time as a ONE TIME order just got emailed they will be repeating the order and he was charged again...from what I have read about this place and their customer service...I am sure it will be a nightmare! Save yourself the trouble!I did not order the food or get to choose...my fiance was being sweet because I just started school and wanted to give me a break from cooking. He ordered food he thought I would like...like chicken dishes and breakfast and he ordered some fish dishes (I don't eat fish). I tried the mango chicken and it turned me WAY OFF to the point I wont be open to try any more meals. The chicken was waaaaay bland and flavorless, which ok fine I can spice up with flavor God or chili, it was the fact that every piece was chewy beyond swallowing. I literally ate just the rice which defeats the purpose of getting my protein in...if I wanted rice I can make that. So for me, it's a definite TRIED IT...HATEED IT...I wont personally order from here. The fiance tried his first meal and it was chicken of some sort and said it was chewy as well. He will eat anything though lol.

Got my meals yesterday. Working through them. Will post what I like versus what you shouldn't get. First note: all the sleeves cooking times are the same on every meal. They all say 2-3 minutes in the microwave. Probably not a good idea to put the protein brownies in the microwave for 2-3 minutes. Second, chicken quesadilla, you need to take the sour cream pack out of the meal as it will explode. Meatloaf was goodChicken quesadilla was goodBrisket, not so hot. Like chip meat. Think buddig lunch meat formed into a brisket like presentation. Corn and beans weird combination. I don't recommend this one. Protein brownies. Blah, just blah. I'll modify as I work my way through the rest of the meals.Doing a quick edit of the review. Ended to add this so you know what you're getting into. I'm not sure if they're adding filler to the meals but every time I have one of their meals I get stinky gas. If you've ever been to Vegas and eat at the buffets you'll end up with buffet butt. I'm sure many of you'll be able to relate the sulphuric gas you get when in your in Vegas and eat at the buffets. You'll get the same stinky gas with these meals. Meaning they're adding filler to the protein of the meals to cut costs. And your internal digestive tract will respond with stomach cramps and stinky ass. I won't buy again. They're always thing wrong when you eat allegedly healthy food and you get bad gas and stomach cramps. It took sometime to figure out why my stomach was so upset. But I found the root cause, it was these over priced frozen meals. Just cook for yourself. You'll have solid bowel movements, no stomach cramps and your farts won't wake you up from a dead sleep

My first experience was less than sarisfactory, but I believe in 2nd chances!!I gave The fue a second chance and try have done a great job staying on schedule, accommodating requests and have significantly improved their customer service!!The food is constantly good! Thanks for working to changes and improvements!! I'll continue to order for the fuel!!

I was really disappointed with this. I ordered it for my boyfriend and the meals took longer than the package to heat up, the meals were blank and unappetizing. Chunks of chicken weren't very appealing and there was very little seasoning. The box was also always late for delivery (by at least 1-2 days). I don't understand how a company can charge over $40 shipping on top of the meals. I've switched to a company that is incredibly more affordable, same macros and $14 shipping. Would not recommend

I was excited to try this out, did some initial research, and signed up for emails. However, they sent me an email every single day. I kind of expected this, but what I didn't anticipate was the level of difficulty in trying to unsubscribe from their emails. The marketing team decided to write their email such that the unsubscribe email is invisible, regardless of what mode (dark or light) you are viewing the email in. Even trying to highlight where I expected the unsubscribe link proved ineffective. This is discriminatory toward people with disabilities and those that find it difficult to work with technology, all to have their terrible deals pop up in your inbox daily.If they are this devious in their marketing practices, I don't ever want to consume food by them. This lines up with the myriad of negative reviews I see about them, and I'm glad the only thing I gave them was the time to write this review.

I'm very sorry to say that the food I tried from this company was pretty bad. I love the idea, but the execution is just not good. I actually could only get halfway through the steak, brown rice and broccoli meal I tried to have for lunch yesterday. The steak was awful quality. Really terrible. And the broccoli smelled horrible, as though it was long passed it's expiration date. I loved the idea of this food service, but I will be throwing out the remaining meals that I ordered.

Horrible shipping. Dry ice thrown in two cardboard boxes completely melted and all but destroyed the boxes so they didn't protect my meals. Threw away two that were obviously broke straight from the box. Now when I remove the sleeve to microwave I find more busted open and ruined.

Meals are shipped well and stay fresh . The meals look as advertised and taste good . Definitely work with a busy lifestyle and if you have a growing teenage boy who is active. These meals are great for after workouts or if your on the go .
