The Barn

The Barn has been losing clients since most college students are on a tight budget. It is unfortunate that the cost of sandwiches, salads, and hot foods are too high for enough traffic of customers. Most students end up at the Student Union for the fast food outside companies located on campus. Service is slow, ambience is depressing.

I've been wanting to come here for a while, and I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it is inside the restaurant. I loved listening to the jazz while throwing back some reasonably priced pizzas and wings with my friends. Our server was very friendly and attentive, and I can't wait to come back eventually.

I'm so glad that they allow students to use their meal swipes. The only complaint that I have is the extremely loud music that plays outside through the speakers that are right above peoples' heads. I would enjoy the music at a lower volume when they don't have live music. Food:* I LOVE the spicy ketchup!! *I'm happy about the fact that they serve Starbucks coffee*The fries are really good. I'm glad that they don't serve dried up shoe string fries

I had an awesome experience here. It's my last year at UCR and I somehow never tried this spot; I will definitely be coming back. The cashier recommended me the western chicken sandwich and it was a 10/10. The fries are also so bomb. For what it is, it is very much reasonably priced.Not sure why people complain about the music, it wasn't loud at all when I went. I felt comfortable. Give it a try next time you're hungry on campus!

Seeing as it was my first time here, I ordered the barn burger and barn fries. Honestly when I got my order, it looked a bit underwhelming but I was very impressed with both. The burger had plenty of meat, pickles and veggies, while the fries were delicious and had plenty of seasoning. What impressed me particularly was the quick service even though it was busy and the generous portions justify the price. Will definitely be back for more!

Pretty mid, pictures look better than actual product. I get it though what can you expect from a school cafeteria style diner but why you gotta catfish us . I've tried the cheeseburger and chicken sandwich here. At least the portions are good.

Delicious vegan burger and fried pickles. Be sure to try the lunch hours, when it's quieter and convenient!

The brisket here was actually so good definitely a must get if ur here for lunch or dinner. I was actually like blown away like woah ucr did something right. Also if u want a drink at the bar and don't know what to get, get THE LONG DRINK. changed my life ...

Damn, those are nice beers and good burgers! Their steak fries are thick, soft, and very well seasoned. Their onion rings were too bready for me. But the beer options were definitely impressive and their options were enough to suit our party of four. The burgers though, let's talk about the food. We all got burgers but they have so many options and quite a few people working to crank it out! Their staff members are kind and very honest with their preferences, which reassures me that they've eaten the food. My 2 vegetarian friends got the veggie and LOVED the flavor so much I wish I'd gotten it. My beef hating friend felt the chicken strips were very compact, dense, and very filling. As for me, I got the classic and it was juicy, tasty, and very well put together. The bread was more than we thought it would be but it tasted great altogether! I liked the generous amount of lettuce but I wish more was in my burger or it came with a fork so I could eat it, too! Can't wait to come back and try some more!

The sandwich was cold same with all the frozen vegetables and not properly cooked the only thing that was pretty good were its fries and onion rings.
