SJ's BEST CHILAQUILES?! Consider this Part 4 of my quest for the best chilaquiles in the valley and I think we found our contender. Taqueria Azteca is the epitome of a sleeper hit, it's so GOOD, you can't miss this. It's authentic and the closest I've gotten to San Diego level of yummy Mexican cuisine. Trust me when I say I know my Chilaquiles at this point, I'm a little obsessed with this place. Ever since I got more into chilaquiles last month, I've been hunting down great, local Mexican businesses. San Jacinto is winning with this place. Located at the heart of little Main Street, I walked in and found my self craving a late Mexican brunch. I ordered the red chilaquiles which came with beans, an overeasy egg, and I of course paired it with a large Jamaica drink. It was perfect! My order was taken by a shy, slightly awkward guy who was very professional and quick. I was on a time crunch and they whipped up my meal in a flash. The ingredients are fresh, you can taste it. It's incredible that this place is so efficient AND effective. The place is calm, clean and inviting. Had I had more time I would've spent the afternoon here. There's tables inside and a nice little nook with stools facing the street. It's definitely my vibe and reminds me of a cool joint you'd find in Mexico. I LOVE it.

Just recently moved to San Jacinto and finally get to try this place. Oh man! Very cool people! Food is great. Definitely love the crunchy tacos. Im coming back for more.

I've gotten their Chilaquiles and their pozole and everything I've ate here is actually very good. I'm surprised that they don't have that many reviews but you should definitely give them a try and some reviews.

Finally went here and can't believe what Ive missing!!!! This place is amazing!!!!! Its small (3 tables and an area with 2 barstools ) but it's worth it!!!! We had 2 Gordita's, 5 beef taquitos, carne asada burrito and a pork tamale.... All I can say is this is my new fave place!!!! Love live loved everything!! Full pf flavor, quick service and not pricey at all!!! You want real Mexican food.... THIS IS THE PLACE!!!

I ordered a carne asada burrito. It was not great. The tortilla was very soggy. It was overpacked with frijoles. I personally would not recommend this place.

Visited here for the first time today, July 5 and what a wonderful surprise! Clean, homey style taqueria just like you would find in Mexico. We ordered their 4 street tacos with a soda for $10.00 and they were delish! Carnitas tacos with sautéed onions, chili toreados and 3 kinds of salsas! The chef / cook even visited us with friendly conversation. We live in Hemet and we will visit here again as the drive is worth it! Visited again for the third time and this time they made us a green salad with carnitas and avocado salsa! Wow! Delicious. I had the carnitas torta with a tasty dressing, cheese, tomato and lettuce! What a treat ! Emma the owner is personable and informative about her food and restaurant! 5 stars Visited again last week and found new menu items Emma will be offering. Shrimp cocktails which we tried and wow, delish! We also sampled her birria, stupendous!! Stop in San Jacinto and give azteca a try, you won't be disappointed. They are not closed only on Wednesday

Delicious fresh food and friendly service. Asada, shredded beef tacos, tamales, rice and beans all on point. Limited seating.

Great food! Great service!! We came here from San Diego for a golf tournament nearby and ate here after! Will definitely be back!!

Was looking for a good burrito and we found this place . Inside very clean and variety of serve yourselves salsas. My favorite was the green salsa. I got the carne asada burrito added cheese, it was delicious. Just the right proportion of rice beans and meat . My husband liked the carnitas burrito. We will be back !
