Taqueria 2 Potrillos

Still one of the best taco spots around the area. Had to drop by for lunch as I knew I was going to be in the area.

Tenía un chingo de hambre y pedí un burrito de camaronation. Me dieron un burro de repollo noooo mmmssss. El lugar está chido pero como que pagar 12 pesos por 4 camarones, arroz y un chingo de repollo, NELLLLL! Hechenle Ganas

8/28/24 This place is HUGE!Unfortunately, Chuys is closed Wednesdays & Hubby wanted tacos, so did I. We decided we will finally try the taco shop by Cardenas. It's located in a place where Wendy's & Kickin' Crab, plus Cardenas is. On a Wednesday at about 6 pm there was hardly anybody dining & it seemed so spacious. Wooden tables, benches are chairs abound. There are 2 staff manning the grill & a lady at the cashier. You order at the counter then you pick it up after paying, find a seat. We took a booth (no cushion). There is also a huge communal table that can possibly sit 10-12 ppl. Our food was ready in minutes coz it's already pre cooked. It was served in a to go box. Hubby ordered 4 al pastor tacos. I ordered the 3 taco combo (comes with rice n beans): al pastor, asada & buche. You may add salsa from the salsa bar. There's also lemon wedges, fresh cilantro & diced onions at the salsa bar ( forgot to take that photo). As i mentioned, the food was already pre cooked do it was not as fresh as I would like. The rice was a bit dry & hard (normally that would be soft & fluffy). The beans were a little bland. I must admit, the al pastor was the most flavorful. The tacos are on the small portion. The staff were friendly & quick to prepare our food. Having tasted Chuy's tacos recently, I can easily compare & prefer theirs, which tasted fresh & more flavorful. I had hoped that Potrillos were better. Their accommodations at Pottillos is better (bigger, newer) but it's all about the tacos! Lol

We have been eating here for while but not recently. We decided to get a burrito for dinner and split it because they were pretty big. We got it to go and we got home and took out burrito, we looked at each other in disappointment! It's smaller than before but more in price. Sorry Portillos but we are not coming back. Unless prices go down or burritos get to old size. Taco Bell $7 box is a better deal. Bidenomics clearly not working for America.

Tried for the first time tonight I had the lengua burrito & tripa taco Everything was delicious lengua was cooked perfectly not mushy at all. The tripas were cooked nice & crispy I'll be back

I absolutely love Taqueria 2 Portillos. Typically I'm a King Taco type of guy, but sometimes the lines are way too long. So I discovered T2P. First let me start by saying that the food is always fresh. I love that the tortillas for the tacos are made fresh in front of you and the meats are grilled to perfection. The aroma of grilled meat and fresh tortillas is absolutely intoxicating. Although I've never eaten inside the restaurant, it does look clean. It is a little loud at times, but it's definitely not a deal breaker. The food is super flavorful and don't sleep on their salsas either because they definitely slap. As far as portions are concerned, they absolutely do not skimp out on the meat. I feel like you get your money's worth here. Come check out T2P.

Today was an alright experience the carnitas taco was good the asada ehhh doesn't really taste like asada more or less like chopped up steak the shrimp taco was a 10/10 I also ordered the empanada especial it was a 6/10 too much cheese in it service was kinda slow it's like your waiting and you don't know if your genna get helped or not they don't even tell you anything so far I'd rate this spot like a 6.5/10 but I'll be back again to try it that I will do !

Terrible food...they are the most expensive around. And are the worst tasting tacos. This place doesn't even compare to other tacos shops in the area. Disappointing

I was wondering why this place only had 3 stars and it's so beautiful inside . The place was empty for a Saturday night . Anyway the Al pastor looked raw . The grills were so dirty. Over all just not good tacos !
