Tamales Jalisco

We love to see a business with a good rating on Yelp so we decided to check this little spot out. Customer service was amazing - super friendly & helpful in making suggestions. Their carne asada & al pastor tacos hit the spot. Tamales were excellent - the masa was moist and the filling (chicken with green & beef with red) was tasty. We bought more tamales on our way out & will definitely be back to try the other items on their menu.

There are no seating tables inside so it is more of an order to go spot. Once I walked in, I was quickly greeted with the staff the tamale menu is posted up front and the staff told me they also do tacos and burritos. This was not posted on the menu so not sure if it was just for the day or part of the standard menu. I ordered a mix of chicken, pork, and cheese tamales. Pork and cheese were my favorite. They come out straight from the steamer so it is nice and hot when you receive them. Tamales had a good balance of masa and good amount of meat/cheese which was definitely a plus. The chicken was a tad bit dry, but the pork and cheese were moist and delicious. Will definitely be back for those two flavors and interested in trying the strawberry and pineapple.

Amazing!!! I'm so glad the cheese tamales are good. I've been looking for a place close to home with good tamales. I live in Montclair and had been driving to El Monte for good tamales. Not anymore! I will definitely be a regular here. The staff was also super sweet and quick to help me.

Updated review:I noticed that they changed the cheese and I think it's an excellent good choice they did! It really helped make their cheese / chile tamales EVEN BETTER. This place is truly legit! So tasty, we sent our uncle to buy some and he loved it so much he purchased 2 1/2 dozen of each flavor for Christmas. Our cousin has already devoured 6 in one sitting bc he loved them so much. The sizes of these are big, the meat to masa ratio is perfect, meat and masa are both MOIST, and the spice is perfect. We are local neighbors and see it on a daily!! So we have been excited waiting for this place to open. They are great! Definitely give them a shot!! We are very picky with where we get our tamales from and this place is heaven sent!! So glad to have them in the neighborhood!! Will definitely be returning for more very soon and often!!!

The tamales are good. They are bigger than you will find many places. But I had some issues with my order. I ordered 10. Got home to find only 9. I checked my receipt and it seems high even if I had gotten all 10. But at 9 I was definitely over charged. I just warmed up the corn. And it is not good. Maybe it's old. Doubt I will go back.

I got the Cheese and Pork tamales and they were amazing! They are big, flavorful, and very authentic. I will definitely return. They sell other items like tacos, desserts, and champurrado.

I picked up a dozen of assorted tamales and they did not disappoint. The masa is not dry at all, the meat is generously portioned and they are decently sized. I like that they give you complementary salsa along with paper plates and napkins to-go. I also tried their champurrado which was delicious. 100% recommended

These are really good authentic tamales. They are good size, good balance between the masa and meat. Very good masa. It's moist and good flavor. My family is very picky with tamales and this place is legit. They have a good variety. We bought everything on the menu to try and it was all very good.
