I don't write reviews generally just read them but I have to say this guy made the best Taco's I've ever had at any part hands down. Head and shoulders above all the rest. I've honestly never wanted to cater tacos at my parties because they've always been just "ok". This guys were absolutely delicious. High quality meat and amazing flavours. I even took a business card because I was that impressed.

food = goodarrived on timehowever way overpriced and act like used car salesmen......they try to sell you extra services like $50 to rent a canopy and things like thatpayed for 50 ppl and the special with mulitas and 25 hotdogs....which was $400....I increased the ppl to 75 for $450 cuz I didnt want to run out of food....they had told me dont worry you will have plenty left over plus they said they always carry extra food just in case....in any event I had approx 50 ppl and did not have any leftovers...except for beans...they rip you off.....no way was there 25 hotdogs....they gave me probably 10-15....they didnt give me mulitas like promised....lady said it was not in the contract???? I had to go out and buy more stuff for hotdogs which was like $50 because they didny have anymore ( like I said only 10-15)just as people were starting to come they only had 1hr left so I needed another hr of service which they said would be another $100.....after haggling they dropped to $75 cuz of the Mulitas i did not get.will not use these caterers again

Taco Chuy catered to our apt complex annual neighborhood meet & greet today. Tacos were yummy but my favorite was the al pastor taco! The tostadas were really good too! Give these guys a call for your next party!

I'm not surprised to read the bad reviews for this business. Honestly i should of followed my gut instincts, I first contacted this business and left a message never heard back from them (Dec. 7). I ended up texting her(Dec 8) , she replied and said she had already booked me.. But hmm i was barely contacting her for a quote. Anyway, she gave me pricing, total of $600 for 100 people, tacos, bacon hot dogs, quesadillas and Mulitas. I called around, other business for pricing. We ended up deciding to book with Taco Chuy - I believe i was texting with Jessica. I confirmed my event with Jessica (Dec 11), she told me they require a $50 deposit - I gave her all my party details and she said she would put me on her schedule. She asked me to mail my deposit, she provided me with an address, and i mailed my check. This is my daughter First Birthday, its a very important event to us. So yesterday, THANKFULLY, i decided to check and confirm she received my check, at first she said yes, then she replied an said no, and that she couldn't put me on the schedule without a deposit, its first come - first serve. Which of course i completely understand. I confirm the address she gave me and Jessica confirms its the correct address. But I'm bumping my head because i mailed the check - what could have happened. So i contact my friend who referred me to this business and I'm telling her the situation, and she asked me what address I have i give her the address Jessica gave me 13135 Briar Street .. Well guess what, no wonder my check never got to her, Jessica gave me the wrong address. At this time I'm waiting for Jessica to get back to me because she said she received someone else check, and she thinks she's booked, this was at 637pm, she said she would be home in half and hour and she would let me know. At 715pm I text her again and let her know she gave me the wrong address- i forward the originally text where she gives me the address, nothing doesn't reply to me. So its 854pm now and still no word from her, so i text her again, asking her to please let me know, this is a very important event for me, she replies with "We're booked". No apologies, doesn't even acknowledge she gave me the wrong address. So i reply to her text and say "you do realize you gave me the wrong address" honestly like i told her, this was a blessing. Since i first contacted her, i felt she was not interested, very short, she never made me feel like she wanted my business it was more like she was doing me a favor. She ended up replying telling me, she didn't realize she gave me the wrong address, her apologies and that i should of contacted her sooner about my deposit. So basically it was my fault for not following up. I guess in her eyes I should of known the address she gave me was wrong. Thankfully, i contacted her, if not I would of been screwed for my event. Of course my check never got to her, hello it was the wrong address. So now who knows where my check is. Horrible customer service, very unorganized, very careless. Save your time, do not book this business. They don't even know their own address.

I recently had a party catered by Taco Chuy. I have been to two parties at my cousins by them before. I was impressed by both parties so I instantly thought of them when I wanted to throw a birthday party. I booked a party for 50 people and paid extra for their bacon wrapped hotdogs and mullitas package. I coordinated with Jessica and mailed her a $50 check deposit that she said would be returned the day of the party and I would pay cash the day of. On the day of the party, I received a call from Jessica's sister shortly before my party to say they were going to be late and were coming from Azusa (although I booked a local cater in Corona because long distance always seem to have issues). She said her sister sent her to work my party instead. They ended up arriving one and a half hours after my party started. When they showed up, it was not the presentation they had at other parties or what they display on their Facebook page. It was a table with some plastic bins and the beans and rice on the grill. No one knew the beans and rice were on the grill so most of my guests didn't know it was available. When I asked about the presentation with the Taco Chuy signs, she said they had a bigger party and don't use them for small parties. It would have been nice to know that ahead of time. I thought they were expensive but figured it was worth it for the presentation to be more professional. After showing up late, I asked how long the food would take and they said 30 minutes. After the food was done I came out and she very sarcastically with an attitude said "Did we cook fast enough for you?" She was also very rude to some of my guests as well. They were also drinking the alcohol that I paid for while they were cooking and I didn't offer them alcohol. I paid for 50 people but I had less than 35 people attend and 5 of them were kids. They left the food but it wasn't very much. When I asked for a discount, she said got super defensive and attitude again and said she made 35 mullitas instead of 25 and 5 more pounds of pastor than was suppose to. I thought the price was okay considering that but now I realized she lied and didn't make more of anything. But I didn't want to argue because they didn't have my deposit check that I was promised would be returned the day of and didn't want it to be cashed. I thought the food tasted really good, but some of the bacon hot dogs were not cooked all the way. I would NEVER use them again and I wouldn't recommend that you do either.

0 stars!!!! Ive never written a review but felt like i had to because of the horrible service. These people will make your event an embarrassment. They got to my sons birthday party an hour late meanwhile I'm thinking they weren't going to show up because I would call and they wouldnt pick up on the day of the event. Once they set up it looked nothing like its shown in the pictures. I could've done a better catering job than these thieves. The food was disgusting and just to summarize it it left me embarrassed and feeling cheated out of my money. Please save yourself the embarrassment and money and go anywhere else..heck call me I'll do the job a million times better.

I should have read the reviews before booking them. It seems that being late is common for them. They arrived 2 hours late and did not have a lighter for their propane tank. They also forgot to bring plates which were supposed to be provided. We had to go buy plates and guests had to wait even longer while we ran to the store. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the person who came and requested to speak to the owner who had promised a professional and wonderful experience. The woman who came said that would not be possible because he was at a bigger event and would not answer. I stated that I would hold off paying until I spoke to the owner, she then began to yell at me in front of my guests and stated that she would pack up everything and leave. When I went inside to find the phone number of Albert who took my reservation, one of my guests informed me that they were packing up. They had me over a barrel and I agreed to pay them since I had 75 guests. The food was satisfactory and I received an apology at the end but it was not worth the stress or the embarrassing scene that happened in front of my friends, family and co workers. It took away from the experience and with all the other choices for taco caterers, neither I or any of my guests will ever use them again.

I Catered with taco chuy yesterday for my daughters first birthday. They were very friendly and professional. The food was delicious prepared and served on time. The set up was very clean and organized and we got to keep all the left overs to take home. My guest all loved the food and was very pleased with the service. I highly recommend that you cater with them for your event.
